Well, good news: if you check the steam discussion forum for the game yes, really it seems 80% of the playerbase are retarded and couldn't finish it.
For instance, when the game tells you to check your DOCUMENTS folder, many didn't figure that out.
You can imagine how the rest of the game went for them.
I expect some autism, but not the full on overload Undertale had.

Haven't played the game yet or even seen it, but I dig Yume Nikki and the fangames of it a lot, so I'm all for walking sims as long as they give me open, interesting environments to explore with lots of atmosphere and things to soak up. It's kind of hard to describe "atmosphere" but it's like a combination of absolutely everything going on in the game coming together to form this ultimate vibe; it's the essence of comfy.

Not sure about OneShot, but I'm sure it's pretty alright. I'm all for more comfy walking sims like LSD and Yume Nikki as long as they're done right.

What's so different with this version? What did they add to this to justify paying $10? Especially with the whole oneshot mechanic that I could ignore with CCleaner.

I love this game.

Just beat it, went with the break the sun ending and now I feel incredibly empty inside after watching those characters disappear. Always surprising how you come to sort of like characters in games like this no matter how simple they are. Completely missed the seed sidequest thing somehow. It's not certainly not undertale-tier for RPG maker shit, but a nice short game that is easy to get immersed into, I very much enjoyed it actually. Certainly a more bittersweet ending than the two main endings of Undertale. Was it too much to ask to get a nice little CG of Niko going back to his family? IGG version of the game had IGG watermarks over a few of the CGs, would get it from somewhere else if you mind that sort of thing.

I also do recommend trying the original if you haven't already. It takes the concept of having "one shot" a bit more seriously. For instance, closing the game window without sleeping in a bed will kill Niko. You won't ever be able to play again unless you cheat. I already checked the wallpaper folder before running the game. The only speed bump was having to figure out you need to run leave the other program running. After Cateyes wakes up with the clover, there's nothing else to interact with other than the computer, and I sweeped. When I Z with the computer it says its going to keep me there, the game closes, and I'm back to before I ran the clover program.

The game closing at that point was a bug with the win7 version that the devs reportedly fixed with the latest update pushed to Steam. Alternatively, you can choose to run Oneshot in compatibility mode with Vista and it'll function properly that way.

I really liked the meta puzzles, especially the ones starting from the refuge, but it's not enough to hold the entire game up. Hopefully the extra shit that's apparently supposed to happen on the solstice and March 20 makes up for it.

I think this was ok, and could have been much better if it weren't for, let's call it, conventional storytelling. I can't take Neko seriously if she kept needing to be held by hand even before we properly met. Honestly, I find inputting in fighters times more easier than Smash's tilt system.

I'd have so much more control if the tilts were mapped to the A button and Smashes were ONLY mapped to the Right stick. You have to be at a near-stand still to pull off a tilt and with characters like Ike, their tilts are faster and better than their damn slow smash attacks.

Only if you like dungeons or raiding. Mythic+ Dungeons changing affixes every week helps change up the nine Dungeons you can run on Mythic+. And Raiding is kinda fine as long as you get up to at least Heroic.
