The guy pulls his arm down and back to remove it from the shot so we don't see their hands clipping, and the gun drops below the frame so they don't have to animate her fingers moving to the correct position, you can see as she brings the gun back up the model shifting slightly while the other hand just raises up to meet it. It's not all that surprising. Bioware wrote themselves into a corner regarding the series with 3 being the definitive end. Everything, barring the general setting, that made people actually give a damn is no longer part of it.

Andromeda is just a desperate attempt by Bioware to retain it's relevancy and it's semi-independence within EA's structure before it's inevitable disbandment and reallocation of resources to more productive areas of the company.

EA just sees this as business as usual. Section of the company is failing so time to cash in as best as possible before shelfing it all for a later date/preventing competitors from getting a hold of it.

When you play it, see if you can find any "progressiveness" in it.
