Set orders are dependent on bulk buyers, and there's only value in bulk buying if cards are worth money, and cards are only worth money if there's exclusivity to them and they have high demand. Decrease in demand is due to standard rotation changes (which should bounce back) and presumably fatigue from the mass influx of new sets. Low prices are good for consumers bad for investors, but if less people order, there'll be lower supply, higher demand and things should normalize.

I don't think he said he'd destroy it. Kamigawa has very "parasitic" mechanics though since they're all named based on set flavor (ninjutsu, bushido), or only work exclusively with the mechanics of the set (Splice Onto Arcane, Soulshift). His general philosophy is that if people want something to return then he's for it. The only thing I see about wanting it destroyed is a post on his blog asking if people would want to return to a destroyed version of the plane.

Here's my shot at encoding it. The resolution is lower, but I think it's better than the getting a bunch of low bitrate artifacts. It still has a decent amount of artifacting during action though. Not much you can do at 17 minutes long.

I honestly think the response to Kamigawa was an overreaction. The only reason Bushido and Ninjutsu are parasitic is because they prescribe to a very specific style of doing a thing, but Bushido could easily come back as 'Chivalry' (like Channel became Bloodrush). That being said, the only mechanics I really think that should come back are Ninjutsu, Sweep and Offering (which sort of came back with Champion). Sweep was an honestly underrated and underutilized mechanic that could see a lot of love in a set with land-mechanics.
