planetside 2 because WWEW

I think the last AAA game I really loved was Mirror's Edge, and it still was flawed in many ways. I was kind of thinking of getting Catalyst, but never got to it.

Is Dark Souls 3 AAA?

I loved MGSV before I got to the end and realised that was it

It's even more pozzed than the first one

BLOODBORNE

I'll never forget it, but at least I've learned to not get hyped again.

Same here. If I make an effort and look past the butchered story and overall game all in all, it was genuinely good, very solid gameplay (a bit repetitive if you're an efficient player, but with room to be creative if you "forced" yourself to it), not the best map design, but definitely not the worst.
A good game that was murder.
I kind of look forward to fooling around on the zombie shit Konami is shitting out. It will be a shit MGS game, but the gameplay is solid and it deserves to be used more

Wow haven't bought one in two years.

I did get that Tomb Raider for free on PSN. Was okay.

Mass Effect 1

FarCry Blood Dragon
Its like Saints Row 4 but actually good

loved Dark Souls 3, Blood Born, Dragon Quest Builders and Metal Gear Solid V. Is Senran Kagura estival versus and Gravity Rush also considered AAA games?
Although I have to go all the way back to 2011 just to pick out more then one or two of good titles per year

No way, they're on the niche side and with rather incomparable budget.

>Blood Born

Gravity Rush is certainly a AAA handheld game, but I dont know if I'd call Senran Kagura AAA, its very low budget.

...

I am so fucking sick of zombies. Devs wore that trend out in 2013 and it's so blase now. I thought japanese people were supposed to be trendy so why does he want to do some worn out zombie game.

Because it sells to westerns and its trying to pretend its a Survival Game ala DayZ.
Watch the MGS fans eat it up.
We already have plenty of goys (and likely shills) here ready to invest on it.
They cant even argue, they just spout "fun", when the game looks like a barren soulless lazy boring shitty cash in full of reused content.
They still want to give Konami money after they cucked them of a MGS3 Remake on the Fox Engine.

...

you really ought to go back

>>>/NeoGaf/

I see I triggered you. If you need me to point it out, you mispelled Bloodborne and DQB is shit.

The proper, non-shit release of Dragon's Dogma, probably.

user it's nothing like Saints Row 4.

implying implications

Both companies did the same thing though
Reused assets, added more movement options and some reskins with some new level design
Difference with Blood Dragon is that its a standalone DLC, level design actually fits the new movement options and its a compacted package thats doesnt overstay its welcome with actual good humour for the most part and top tier music and sound design.

Both games you're a goddamned superhero but Blood Dragon actually makes you feel like one.

Overall Dark Souls 2 was shit but I enjoyed it for the first 4-5 hours.

Fuck, I mean Shadow Warrior 2, don't know how I messed that up.

It was an old game I played recently, but I liked Mafia 2, quite a lot. The only problem I had with it was that the world didn't have much to do besides finding playboy spreads and doing story missions. I guess MGSV in terms of recent releases?

Shadow Warrior 2 is AA not AAA

i enjoy overwatch but the folks involved in map design need a huge spanking

Bloodborne.

Dark Souls is shit outside the first one.

3 was okay. Could've been much better.

The first one is shit as well. Cuckborne is too. Instead of improving King's Fields combat, they created these linear designed pvp trash.

Go back to your hugbox

(You)

stay triggered

Stay in your hugbox

Titanfall 2 is hella good.
Also found Overwatch to be pretty enjoyable, then again I don't lose my mind about rankings and shit.

Too bad the campaign didn't last long, at all. The MP is admittedly more balanced though.

DDDA. Shit is great. So much good and so many flaws. The core of the game is unique, unrivaled experience, while everything else is boring and generic. What a mixed bag.

Plebeian tastes like these just remind me how far this board has fallen

I really enjoyed the new Doom, much more than I thought I would honestly.

And now the thread becomes an unpopular opinions thread.

Go stick your head in a dishwasher and cry about it.

Sleeping Dogs was pretty good.

What kind of shitty insult is that?
Are you even from around here?

ICE COLD

Hows the gunplay?
I hearf it was pretty shit, especially in comparison with the melee fights.

What are you

A redditor most likely
Election day brought a shitton of them from KIA.
Just check the GamerGate thread

What an intuitive button layout for turkey punching. 8 buttons plus a stick and something that looks like a crotch mutilator. It even has two tiny side mounted crotch tazers, so that your friends get their share.
Crotch tazer/10, would not punch that turkey.

I do with the single player was longer, the quality made up for it though.

It was ok. Really should have just went off in it's own direction instead of trying to be Doom.

The concept is a perfect use of the gameplay even if zombies are the most worn out shit ever, but Konami is so creatively bankrupt it won't turn out at all good
It's going to be copypasted bullshit, horribly designed scenarios, poorly thought out mechanics, and as much reuse of MGSV assets as they can physically get away with

Probably Ass Creed 2… No, Mass Effect 2, back before I developed proper good taste.

i borrowed a console copy of it from a friend, it was dumb but fun, i won't pretend i didn't enjoy aspects of it, but i'm still glad i didn't pay for it

where can I find the gamer gate thread>

I aint falling for that nigger

88 hours in MS Paint. Don't ask why, I don't know.

did you ask the gamergate thread?

Loved Xenoblade X.
Still wish it wasn't "localised" though

Still better than Call of Doom that Carmack made.

Wow that looks like hot trash

Yeah, man. There's a lot of good shit in that game. I got burned out though, since the game is Grindtown USA.

And this is the perfect example of being overly paranoid.
Granted I probably shouldn't have used "hella" but I was hyped for that game and it turned out amazing.

Yeah Doom 3 was pretty weird. It was less action and more jump scares and spawns behind you 24/7.

They did similar things in the asset department (but so have hundreds of other games), but at the gameplay level (which is what matters) they're nothing alike, and honestly Blood Dragon is overrated as fuck and the entire game is a cringefest and it's worse than FC3 in every way.

It's awful, like really, really awful. If you like the idea of an chinese themed beat-em-up GTA with 99% less shooting, I'm sure you'd enjoy it. If that sounds awful, well, that's the entire game.

It's not Doom 3, it's the canned Doom reboot.

But is the running good? If it is I'll skip cutscenes and not bother with story and just parkour around the place.

same. I was halfway through MGSV and when I realized there was not going to be an ending, I quit. I enjoyed what I played, though.

I think all I needed to do was to look at gameplay to lose all interest.
When your melee weapons in a zombie game look like they play like shit you're done.

Metal Gear Solid 5.

I'm more sad that it looks to be the same wave defense bullshit that every single game has been doing for the last decade
For a few minutes during the gameplay reveal I was almost excited to have a comfy looking co-op stealth game that isn't just about following waypoints through corridors

Dragon's Dogma for certain.

liking AAA games seems to be the unpopular opinion around here

was 'Alice Madness Returns' a AAA game ?
played it first time several years after the release in 2014/15

(You)

I wonder why the fuck that is, it's almost like AAA games cater to normalfags and put more money in ads than game development.

its almost like some aaa games that come out are good but some people are just contrarian/hipster

Theres that word again
How about going back to Reddit or Cuckchan?
No "contrarians" there

Same. MGSV is fun, but it feels like the last third got hacked off at the knees and nothing but FOBs were put in their place.

If this had a third map, a proper Venom fighting Vic Boss final battle and end game shit like Battle Gear, guard dogs and gun cams, it couls have been 10/10 GOAT level shit. Instead it's a really satisgying Beta of an open world gsme that desperately needed polishing.

Meele combat was great, gunplay was shit. You only use guns in certain stretches though, and if you can deal with the (intentionally shit, I know) shooting in Yakuza games I can't call this any worse.

I liked Sleeing Dogs a lot more than I expected to, evenif it's mostly just the spicy asian style GTA clone.

What a shame
Ill give it a pirate though

Such as?

such as hitman 2016 and toto wawa. mgs5 was good, a lot of us had fun with skyrim for a while as much as it's criticized. but im sure you'd love to just split hairs on each on these and have a drawn out autistic argument

The Talos Principle.
Or, if that doesn't count, then Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Yeah faggotry is showing, ribbitor.

says the man who claims everyone not part of the groupthink is reddit/boogieman

No
Yes
Whats your point?
Both have dDenuvo and had jewish business tactics behind it, you actually think some people here cant complain about it?
And now your post is trash

New Order was generic garbage, what the hell was good about it besides not being CoD or Battleduty?

>>>/reddit/
>>>/cuckchan/

what constitutes a AAA game? is EDF a AAA game? bloodborne? dragons dogma? whos considered a major developer?

It's fun fighting Nazis and robots with dual-wielding shotguns and, and good gunplay combined with cheesiness is fun.

Marketing.

Anything that has a shitton of money put into its marketing and is relevant, even for normalfags.
Easily known stuff like Watch Dogs, Battlefield and Elder Scrolls.
AA, mid sized games-devs

It takes itself serious for the most part
Tell me one joke they made besides the whole interaction with Jimi Hendrix which were unfunny and unsatisfying as fuck?
With cover mechanics and awful level design?
I dont think so
Too bad the weapons were limited as shit and the standart fare.

The game is hardly better than a Spark unlimited FPS.

The gameplay is good

Enjoyed Bitcher 3

Its the same as FarCry3

which was good

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? numale sky had a shitton of marketing yet its still considered "Indie" same goes for meatboy and fez.

dragons quest builders? senran kagura? dynasty warriors? neptunia V2? DOA?

no. NO

Seconding this

Exactly, its the same fucking game

Its and indie because it was a small team working with a small budget, Sony shilled them to kingdom come though.

is Dwarf Fortress AAA?

yes

Are memes AAA?

Passable at best and only then because it matched the style of the game in general. Luckily you don't do too much shooting until the end anyway.

I mostly enjoyed Infinite Warfare, I guess. I just wish they did more interesting things with the zero g combat and the flight missions instead of a billion corridor shooting segments… also that the villain was less moronically edgy.

Are batteries AAA?

two hours ago, I started playing Resident Evil 4 for the first time, it's fun, controls feel a bit tanky, and Leon looks like trap, but I'm enjoying it so far

GREAT LANDING, ACE

Dirt rally or Witcher 3.

Anti-aircraft artillery is usually organized in batteries.

Magnets are AAA.

The NuDoom. It was actually a good shooter. Sort of easy but fun.

Nah

No

I honestly like Overwatch. It's no UT but it still corrupts fewer of the mechanics then every single other populated shooter on the market, and frankly my reflexes have deteriorated to the point I can't really play something like UT anyway.

Other than that though, I guess MGSV was enjoyable. I didn't like it enough to buy it but I did play it a reasonable amount. The only other big games I've bought in the last few years are Dragon's Dogma and Grey Goo. I think those are AA at best though.

...

Maybe Mad Max, if it counts and MGS5GZ.

Same

...

GTA San Andreas

Playing GTA V right now. Honestly, it might be my favorite GTA. I just love Los Santos and the first person mode is immersive as fuck. I was honestly surprised by how much I'm enjoying the game.

no

Is Undertale AAA?

Am I AAA?

Pokemon Moon. Its already better than the horrible pieces of shit that were ORAS and X/Y but I haven't finished it yet so wither or not it has a post-game remains to be seen

It always was.

Does Unreal Tournament 4 count? Epic is certainly a AAA company but they only have like 2 employees working on it because they're retarded faggots that actually think their shitty minecraft clone and dotaclone will actually take off.

...

Honestly, the new online mode is pretty fun basically they just ripped off tron. The rest of the game is shit though.

MGSV

GOTY for me even with all its cuts and faults.

it'll be AAA as soon as they start making superbowl ads for it

>>>/oven/

Heavily modded fallout 4. It is like heavily modded skyrim. Vanilla as fuck until you mod it znd start having fun.

I must say, the weapons are pretty satisfying and mods change some story options.

What mods are there even? I've seen basically nothing come out that can cover the game breaking flaws.

As in, still horrible.

FROST removes the shitty writing, quests, story, etc and just turns it into a survival autism simulator. It's made by the same guy that did DUST for New Vegas.

Other than that there's a ton of mods for settlements, survival mode, and weapons that eventually make them interesting enough.

I also don't honestly know of any good mods that actually make Skyrim fun. Their isn't really anything that fundamentally fixes garbage. Porn mods don't count.

The bara is good but the game is shit.

Titanfall 2 was pretty fun.

BT best husbandu

Total War

flag was unintentional.

Stop that

/mech/ and /clang/ are close brothers

Most likely only weeb degenerates from /mech/

Problably spent more time looking at mods and trying to get them to work than playing but Im having some fun

The game would probably be better if they focused on one player character though

This was the last game that I truly enjoyed, there was nothing that was needed to be changed, except the ending that was so fucking forced and felt almost empty, but still I enjoyed reading everything that I could find about the lore and history of those worlds, each little item and conversation, but more importantly the music was perfect.

But the females were hot

Are you niggers for real?

Portal 2 and Deadspace 1 and 2.

Maybe the PS3 Ratchet & Clank this summer but they're from 2007-2009

Nothing in AAA games suited me after 2010 I guess.

Final Fantasy XV
Hopefully

hi newfriend

Who is this qt? Google images didn't find shit.

I bet you don't even know what the first board was

it's okay to be new but you don't have to be a faggot about it user

...

2012

Does Persona 5 count as AAA? Otherwise The Witcher 3.

Truly? Final Fantasy XII, 10 years ago. There are a lot of AAA games I haven't played because of my shit toaster computer, but I did play Overwatch and it was *boring if you don't play with friends.* I really wanna play Titanfall 2 and JC3 though.

south park, stick of truth

did you hear about the remake o ff12?

saints row 3+4 were alright

probably last time i played dota2, and that was months ago. shit i haven't played much other than warband and dwarf fortress for the longest time.

Pong. Videogames have been and will always be shit.

I want to play nuDoom but the one thing stopping me is its hard to justify downloading it because

Suddently NuDoom doesn't look so bad.

I'd play it but what's stopping me personally is that it's shit
Have some disgusting R34.

faggot

...

You fags always help out my self esteem.

I got it for $20 at WalMart, and it's just about right for the price. Single player was just fun enough to keep me playing to the end, but not fun enough to really get me engaged in any of the side mission shit or just going around randomly massacring people. I used to spend hours in GTA:VC just doing drive-by shootings to Cutting Crew's "I just died in your arms tonight" and stomping fags at that one club - or boxing myself into the pharmacy and shooting rocket launchers out the door into tanks and military vehicles while picking up the med-kits that kept spawning. GTAV was just… play to the end, and that's it. Fuck online mode. GTAV would considerably less fun if I had to play it with the kinds of people who enjoy GTAV.

I don't know man, I really feel like the game benefitted from the first person view. It doesn't just change your prespective, it changes your walking speed, the animations and adds other nifty little touches, like when you put sunglasses on you actually see through them or when you put a bike helmet on your view is limited. I can just drive around for hours like this and like I said Los Santos is pretty fucking under-rated as a city. Walking around the beach full of people or hanging out in the rich areas of the game.

Also, there were side missions that reminded me of older GTA titles, like the Rampage missions which were missing ever since GTA 2 IIRC.

The game had faults but I honestly don't know why it gets so much hate. Colorful world, a good amount of side content and the gameplay is pretty decent too.

that guy laughs like a chicken

is r2d2 even 3a?

im sure some corsairs will find a way to smal it

...

normalfags raus

2005

Contrarian is the new entitled. Just ignore faggots using it

TW:Warhammer
Witcher 3
And to not say it I enjoy AAA games, I enjoy pre-AoS Warhammer and Witcher. The next game I enjoyed were Skyrim and not as good game but as good time killer. This makes it 4 years gap when I enjoyed AAA title.

It wasn't bad, just meh

I wonder what your reaction will be when you come to the realization that all these cool heist mechanics they're introducing are all for scripted bullshit story missions and it never really becomes the heist game it's been setting up.

Bayonetta.

If Bayonetta doesn't count as AAA then FFX.

...

to be fair it does sound pretty entitled when someone drops a game it doesn't have a 60 fps cap or some throwaway npc makes a throwaway political comment

ITT : bait

Crysis 2.

I agree. I've never thought that I would enjoy a CoD from InfinityWard especially after Ghosts. Cool characters, nice setting. I wish Infinite Warfare was a new IP (the same could be said about Black Flag, it could've been better if it wasn't an AssCreed game).

You people make me sick

Yesterday.

Shit m8 I remember that as my first M rated game as a kid, getting it after falling in love with the demo. I was never able to beat the final boss.

I wanna rape that smug.

I keep checking the mgsv nexus expecting that one day I'll just find something that will finish the game somehow.

This.

Never.
By the time video game budgets reached a point where they could be called AAA by a reasonable person, things on that end were trash.
Good games were always made using limited resources.

my warboy

Same, though I felt there was a lot missing that could've made it a much better game.

A lot of it was also based on Fury Road, and while I'm not complaining, I'd really like to play a Mad Max game based on Road Warrior.

Uncharted 4 had a nice single player, but I haven't played any AAA games since I beat that.

It for sure could have used more. A friend of mine and I discussed hidden collectibles like 8track tapes that could have provided 70's rock & roll. adding a stereo to the car would have been a side quest.

The game could have used more variety for sure, but I still had fun with it. Wouldn't mind another Mad Max game but with a create a character and more shit to do.

What left me yearning was the fact that one of the central themes after the first Mad Max movie was the fact that Max had to survive. His life was fragile, as was everything else that surrounded him, and I felt that missing in the game somewhat.

Tbh it would've been cool to also have to deal with hunger and thirst a la Fallout. Also the cars just going slow after fuel ran out is bullshit, should've just flat out stopped imo, then you'd have to hunt for a car to steal, bait a warboy or something. Having to manage fuel economy would've been cool too. I mean you can travel the whole of the map and have only wasted a quarter tank with the largest engine, which, if common sense would indicate, would've not gotten from Gutgash's territory to Gas Town without having run out of fuel. This would also imply having to use V6 engines to conserve gas. Strongholds not filling your tank every time you arrive would also made things more interesting, they also could've been expanded in scope, and around the wasteland you could find outposts where you could trade and do odd jobs. Also having a regular Thunderdome event with the bungee cords and weapons in different strongholds, more variety in car parts as well, having to customize your car with what you find would've been more interesting, also over time these parts degrading or breaking (car combat not helping). Also enemies on bikes were missing, easy to dispatch but annoying if left around for long.

There's a shit ton more autistic ideas but for the moment I can't remember them. The 8 track tape and car stereo side quest idea would've been pretty cool first tape you find is this one and you have to escape some shithole with this blasting youtube.com/watch?v=u6-0hL3wtv8

When I got my PlayStation 4 Slim.
t. PC master race

I'm on board for all those ideas. I admit that very early on in the game once i leveled up my water/gas thing just a little bit I was never hurting for either of them.

A stronger sense of survival would greatly improve the game.
