There is no password. You enter your name (no spaces allowed) and the correct ip + port # and you should be good to go.

Well I think this is gg for me. I spent 2 hours toying around with functions and graphics trying to negate the ground texture bug with varying yet unsuccessful attempts. This game just refuses to run on certain Laptops.

I've tried mixing and matching every function in the compatibility tab. Nothing works. Apparently as I've read the problem has something to do with the FSO and pbuffer functions working at the same time. Or at least that may be one of the causes. Having disabled everything in Compatibility tab I can say I have disabled FSO, however pbuffer is nowhere to be seen or altered. I checked everywhere for it in the settings to no luck. I even went in the config files and no luck.

If anybody feels like they know anything about this enough to answer or give advice feel free but otherwise I give up. The only thing I can do is maybe PM somebody from WRC who's in charge who may be able to help me. But that's more effort than I'm willing to give to this shit. Broken game, maybe it will be fixed in the year 2060 when the community is already dead.

Yea nothing. I essentially disabled or set the the lowest possible setting everything in settings/adv settings and compatibility. I don't know how I would "disable" winter unless I were on a singleplayer server or something. I guess I can try screwing around with my graphics card. Another theory I have is maybe all the settings aren't being toggled in game despite me toggling them. I'll go in to the config and do it there I guess.

meat, pelts and charcoal are things that get used up as quickly as we can get them for the most part and there will always be a need for those, yes
as for trees we have them all relatively close by, and it's only chestnut (or walnut I cen never remember which) is used for making charcoal to get 10 or 20% extra from each pile
we have several spots for peat, and you need high digging skill for quality peat, if that even makes a difference I don't know as I've not gone into smithing

but I agree to some extent, a caravan can be useful to fill in some of the gaps we have right now
some could be filled, like hide and meat and to some extent charcoal, by staying inside or near to the town

You can get started by fucking over trees with your hatchet, making them into logs and then turning those logs into planks with your saw. making arrows is easy, but improving them is painfull
to be a somewhat good Archer you need at least 3-5 quivers of 41 arrows in each at QL50

You don't need one. You can join our town and never build a house. It will act as a spawn point and you can explore the map if you want. If someone would build you a Wagon you can live out of it like a filthy gypsies.

If you want a house that won't get nigged, yeah. Otherwise, you could just get anons to help you with a wagon and a boat and become a wandering nomad.

Never play fullscreen. Always have it at windowed fullscreen so that way you can alt+tab without the game crashing on you.

You could build a boat to operate out of.

It isn't explicitly needed, but it gives you benefits like a secure area, a chat channel, a respawn location when you die, bank access at the token and more shit
On the banking system: You can store a small amount of items in your bank and also any quantity of money, but you can build a storehouse on the deed area to hold your shit securely or just keep it in a cart/boat

Actually, you can harvest grapewood saplings from wild grapes that are sprouting. I think that's a mod. Also, grapes only come into season only one time a year, as does maple syrup, which are needed to make wine.

How is Wurm Unlimited compared to the free version? What extra benefits do I get? Thinking of buying it for me and a couple of friends so we can play on here.

The pirate version comes with mods and the serb we're on is x4 xp, x4 action speed. No ultra autistc grind necessary. It's still pretty autistic and grindy though. But its days/weeks vs months/years

there's a pirate client of Wurm Unlimited that is identical to Wurm Unlimited

There's the MMO version, which you can play f2p if you're ok with being literally unable to do anything, then there's unlimited which lets people make their own servers. The advantages and disadvantages depend on the server. For example this server has 4x action speed and skill gain, but the downside is its run by a russian and a spaniard.

And the spaniard is a chronic asspain whenever he shows up but you feel bad bitching about the russian because despite being russian he's a kind guy.

You can build wells underground but it might be more of a pain since they only fill with water if they're on special tiles that you find with a pendulum. Alternatively you can dig down to water level, you can drink it and I'm pretty sure you can fish too.

We need a Vynnigger to benefit from the huge swaths of Vyn aura around town, and to cast various weapon enchants.

Also we need a dedicated cloth maker because a lot of recipes need ropes and cloth sheets. Vyn priest and clothing making is a good synergy since their sacrificial items are cordages. Get on it.

Dude, food is getting a huge overhaul when the next update drops, by then if you have a good enough cooking skill you are gonna become a really busy man, specialy because shit like nutrition and bonuses

Now its just mass producing meals, but after that update its gonna be real fucking cooking with people asking for meals so they can get buffs for diferent skills, maybe some of the least autistic members of our empire wont be able to feed themselves properly, and when crusades drop, they are gonna need good chef to cook the corpses of the victims, just be creative fam, try to come up with stuff that benefit the town and its people.

Another momentous raid has taken place! Scouted by Zummi, undertaken by the Argosy, raiders Buttsauce, Goldberg, Rothfrei, Mauer, Yore, Henkhill, Sederion, Reynard, onichan and I sailed forth and pillaged some generically-named settlement of fags from a spic imageboard.

The town was overrun with chinkbears, scorpions, crocodiles, crabes, hotdogs and trolls. Zummi and Henk fell and were brought home to be buried with honors, but not in vain. Large quantities of high QL metals, bundles of produce and six million bricks for the wall were foremost among the loot taken from the now-despoiled square. Also gained was jolly Spurdo, held cruelly within a one-tile pen by the beaners. A cheeky sign was left directing them to his new home.

If a settlement can't pay its monthly in game fee its disbanded and any box or item storage not in a house is free for the taking. Since most towns around us I one or two people they don't add locks and if they've been gone long enough for their house to decay then we can take the things in there too.
