Not really that confusing. It's just that the stories they tell are pretty fluff. I hope they do a lot more with the disney characters instead of them being stuck in their own worlds, usually retelling their movie stories in game form. That was my major complaint with Kingdom Hearts 2.

Kingdom Hearts is the biggest wasted potential in all of gaming.
I remember being a kid in the early 2000s when Disney was a lot better than they are today. I remember watching Toon Disney and seeing all kinds of shit about Kingdom Hearts and going to Disneyland and seeing all kinds of Kingdom Hearts merchandise and all the hype Disney was trying to generate for this series was incredible.
