There is utterly no evidence any Russian plane were damaged let alone "7 destroyed planes" (which would account for A THIRD of the Russian airforce in Syria), the Russian MoD said 2 soldiers got killed on an attack on the base 31st of December but that no plane got damaged.
No photos or video have been provided by the MSM to back up their claim, worst NO REBEL GROUP CLAIMED PATERNITY for such a (supposedly) massive blow to Russian airpower in Syria.
Some people on twitter and whatnot dig up some photos of a Su-24 that is in Syria (29 white) with a bit a wing torn off both of which are far more consistent with flak damage than a mortar attack and are likely from another time because since then some recent footage of the base (01/05) show 29 white taking off…

FYI one thing you have to watch out for is fake airplanes on runways. Enemies will often build paper mache-esque planes and tanks to trick satellites. For pictures like these, keep an eye out for things like incorrect shadows, missing details/ridges on the wings, etc.
