Yeah I don't know what you're talking about. I get plenty of "me-time" in the maps in classic carma mode. And the ped AI springs into action when you get in like 5 metres of them. They're easy enough to run over.

What, are you talking about Max Damage or Carma 1? In Max Damage (and Reincarnation) the moment you start you can tell what asshole is going to harass you. The only time you're not under attack is if you're in a spot that requires some clever platforming to get to (like a roof) but on the ground they do not leave you be. And they're not even good, as soon as they're near you they just rub against you like they're trying to get off rather then turn you into scrap.

And the ped AI may activate 5 meters away but that's more then enough for them to get out the way

I'm talking about Max Damage. They really aren't on your ass all the time. Sure, you get AI coming at you at 5 to 10 minute intervals, but they usually just fuck off if you just dodge them.
I guess they're just switching between roaming and seeking. They're hardly a pain, even on the hardest setting.

I'm looking at the Logitech G920 on Amazon for $309. My budget is roughly $350. I don't NEED a clutch or shifter, but they certainly wouldn't hurt. Should I go with that, or would you guys recommend anything else?

You could get a Thrustmaster t300 for about 350. It's belt driven, which is arguably better than the gears in the Logitech wheels. Less noisy, less wear over time.

But the default pedal board only has two pedals. Shifter is also separated.

It was the go-to mid range wheel, until they put the exact same hardware in a coat, upped the price by 100 bucks and called it the G29.

Because the G29 is basically the same wheel with some minor differences, but overpriced and with shifter sold separately, if you want to make an unnecessary purchase be my guest, but if I were you I'd be patient, the Driving Force Pro is still a great wheel

Yes, ever since the G27 stopped being produced the price jumped to over that of the G29. It used to go for ~200 in sales. Outright jewery is what it is.

70's music was fantastic and so were the cars but the gas crisis and the recession fucked everything up and killed off some notable names like leyland motors which was the 3rd biggest auto manufacturing group at the time.

80's had okay music in comparison. No real Pink floyds but that electric disco shit from the 70's came into its own with shit like kraftwerk and other shit. The new-wave scene is pretty much what the ironic meme scene is now except while the ironic meme scene listens to chill vaporwave New Wave had upbeat and fast melodies and was generally seen as a more commercialised punk without the attitude and all of the apathy.
Cars in the 80's sucked though, manufacturers had to conform to new regulations around fuel saving measurements which meant the death of the carburetor as a whole and the death of the back yard mechanic, I mean there were cars like the XR2 and all that that still used carbureted intakes but they were terribly under-powered for what their engines could actually produce. 80's supercars were hot though with bold striking lines. The 70's was very conservative with design language and that was all down to the beginning of design regulations in major nations what with the 60's seeing the production of some horrendously insane and radical cars which was encouraged by the post war economic miracle in the US, Germany and Japan. Speaking of japan.

Japan ruled the 80's. The 70's recession killed the american and european auto industry with things like strikes and poor sales. It was the 70's recession that made detroit and the british automotive industry what it is today and that goes into the fact that
A. Americans couldn't compete with the japanese in making cheaper more fuel efficient cars.
B. The british couldn't make cars that could run reliably or get their workers to produce cars to sell.

and

C. The japanese had the post-economic miracle on their side and a diligent workforce

I could go on but the short version is the 70's started good and ended horribly. And the 80's Started horribly and matured nicely.

Data miners found about 30 or 40 cars already in game and Forza 6 like the Terradyne and Turn 10 has said the FH3 Car DLC will be entirely new cars to the series. I'm guessing those cars still in the data will be Forzathon prize cars and new barn finds.

They would be better off ending the brand and leveraging Skoda to take over as their economy class cars while Audi is their luxury class at this point. There's a rumor GT Sport won't have any VW cars and the Polo WRC was removed even after being demoed going around as well.

Well in the USA they have to buy back all TDI cars at fair market value on Sept 27,2016. Also, you might want to try a skill boost car as you'll be getting a lot of skill chains along the way and you can bank a lot from them. Especially if you feel confident and want to drift a lot.

what the fuck is up with Polyphony? ever since Gran Tourismo PSP and Gran Tourismo 5 they've been tripping over their dicks. Like you ask them to do a port of GT4 and they lose their shit. You ask them to model interiors and they lose their shit. You ask them to clean up old models for HD and they fucking shit themselves. It's bloody infuriating because their car-selection is unparalleled for people who really like obscure japanese cars and their original tracks are immense.

I feel like they're not being efficient with production of their car models. I mean it's all well and good working on minuet details for months on end but what they should be doing is establishing a production line where 1 division does the outer shells, another does the interiors, another does the mods, another does the physics another does the textures. It's all well and good getting artisans to concentrate on 1 car when you're making sculptures but this is a fucking racing game, you need to maximise production. fucking Forza could do this shit in a year and that's a studio that has only been around since 2001. Polyphony have been making this shit since '95, they have a 6 year lead and have plenty of older models, assets and reference material to pick from. They even have the favour of Nissan and other Japanese manufacturers, it's shameful how they handle themselves.

IIRC T10 outsources some of the model making while PD insists on making everything themselves. Which was fine back when cars were made of a handful of polys, black interiors and rough textures but isn't so effective nowadays unless you have a huge team working on the game.

Took them forever to get that demo out. Wonder if it's as broken as the main game.

How long will the races take?

Not very. Longest races are only 5 laps as shown in the image. No more than 10 minutes assuming we constantly crash. The 2 lap race and point to point are much shorter than that. Even if you can only make it for a race or two, it would be worth joining us and having some fun.

Actually the image goes into better detail on that; The races are on average only 5 miles each. Very short.

The reliant races are gonna start in 6 hours or so. 4 people including me. At least that's one more than last time. Gonna send out one more club notification 2 hours before it starts out of desperation. Also we're up to 50 members now. Probably 80% are not from 8ch, let alone /ogc/. I find that odd.

I played the PS2 version ages ago and liked it. Thing is that the rubber banding was too strong. Same with all other NFS games really.

I remember liking it better than underground 2 and Carbon back in the day, but that was only because you could race during the day.

I think next time you just need to announce it, invite who you can and people who don't get invites just need to navigate to the message board and then into your gamercard to join as a sure-fire way to get in because notifications just don't seem to play nice

I was meant to be hitler but the game won't let you give plastic surgery to your character or something so i'm left with a frenchman, otherwise i would've given him facial features more similar to hitler. I think it's still close enough though because lots of people figure it out

You can create a second char and import your level, bank money and shit like that. And I think even some of the properties carry over.

It's still quite stupid they don't allow plastic surgery, TDU2 handled that pretty well leaving you looking like a mummy for a couple of days.

Until they patched that out (which btw took 3 years) you could download cheats to modify your character so it's not even a matter of rockstar not thinking about it and now being too lazy to implement, it's just not there "because we say so"

This is how GTA:O feels as a whole and part of the reason why I haven't touched it since the next gen releases. A lot of shit is blocked off because they say so and what you can do is extremely limited but yet ten year olds can keep blowing you up in freeroam mode without punishment and you're punished for being DM'd while if you do the same to them you're penalized. I got tired of playing the game for hours on end only to either break even or lose five figures a session.

Also, the game is called "Grand Theft Auto" and not "Buy an apartment and pay taxes on it, then buy cars and pay insurance and taxes and make sure you have enough for a deductible in case it gets blown up while paying your mechanic and repair fees"

Personally what pushed me out of the game is how needlessly expensive everything has become since the PC release. Like, if you want to play around with newly added content you need to save millions just to start.

And frankly while I'm open to the idea of buying IGC with actual money, in this game it always feels like you're being ripped off. Like, how the fuck can Rockstar imagine someone would pay 80 bucks for a virtual yacht?
