Who gives a shit what Miyamoto says, he seems to think paper mario is fine the way it is now that all the quality has been stripped out and replaced with paper asthetics. That and the very next game he made right after was GRAFX'D up as fuck with suped up version of the FX chip made for that game.
Well in this instance I happen to agree with the beaner. Donkey Kong Country wasn't some kind of exceptional platformer. It was mediocre. It had good music and graphics, but the gameplay was weak.
