Iron Man 1 is by far the best Marvel movie. You could see that they had the passion and love for the character.
Does Marvel hire the same DP for all the MCU movies or are they forced to make a bland picture?
The MCU way of producing those movies is really disturbing. The picture, the soundtrack, the writing, everything is the same from one hero to another. It's really a shame. I do think that the MCU could've been way better if each hero had its own theme, cinematography, writing and each Avengers movie would be a celebration of their differences that would make them invincible as a team.

This is my biggest complaint about all these comic book movies. It's all the same shit. One of the best thing about comics in general is all the different styles and art used. I just think of all the missed opportunities. Every movie has the same colors, the same tone. It all runs together.
When they were talking about making the show with everyone from Heroes for Hire I was thinking how cool it'd be if they made a 70s style spoof giving all the characters their old costumes and a rose tinted stylized look. But you know what we got. The same thing as all the other shows. It's so boring.

He and the director had a rough outline to go from and the day before shooting they would talk over the scene and what needed to happen and what could happen, and then Robert would Tony it up on the day and the characters, who appear flustered dealing with Stark's bullshit, are actually trying to deal with Robert/Tony. It was perfect casting, the kind of pure luck that just works. Imagine what would have happened if Marvel had gotten their first choice in Tom Cruise? Jesus, what a mess.
