The game forced me to kill him

All she wanted to do was watch over mutilated fetuses, after finding out the truth about Umbasa and the afterlife.

but why were you playing that game in the first place?

Some faggots here told me it was fun.

It's a good game, just a little hard to go back to after Doom.

so killing fascists is fun for you?

Cucks just can't help themselves. If he wanted to atone he'd shoot up a synagogue and kill himself but he'll probably just fap to interracial porn

...

...

...

Not so much the core itself (that thing HAD to be fucking killed), but rather what was necessary to give it physical form in order to even BE killable. Said requirement still being sentient enough to hold the core back somewhat, and state that there is no hard feelings between it and the protagonists, and that this is simply how it must be if their world is to survive. With both their deaths leaving the protagonists questioning whether they even did anything heroic.

nobody
In the end I just see it as another game. I'd love for the writing to move me deeply enough to feel long-lasting remourse for killing an NPC. Maybe it's an AI problem. Maybe I'm a heartless prick.

This guy.

I never had the guts to do a genocide run.

That filename fucking up the spoiler. Wew, I'm a retard.

Best fucking character in the entire game.

Keith was an obnoxious bully and deserved to have his shitpussy gaped. I wanted to leave him to be Buck's fucktoy, but no, you have to kill him.

Fucking ubishit.

What a bunch of gays ITT. I bet you're all just one step removed from being SJWs, Faggots and Burchlikes.

...

...

you don't have to kill Sif, just don't go into his arena.

and how you beat the 4 kings then?

Hit them until they die.

He's the most fully fleshed out character in the game (an RPG by Obsidian) and one of few who you don't have any choice but to kill.

and how do you step into the abyss?

...

Ignis. Fucker just wanted to burn stuff.

Why respect knights, when my potions can do anything?

maybe you should try killing yourself instead

VAFFANCULO

This didn't need to happen.

You are not his murderer

Those spineless cowards deserved the monsters.

...

To be fair, he ordered you to kill him.

Yeah, I can't really agree with a lot of his philosophy, but I'll be damned if he didn't die like a champ.

He just wanted to unite his people before he died.
Also I REALLY like the Duraxyl.

Speaking of which, this one made me regret it after, instead.

...

Buck was a faggot and therefore deserved to die. Case closed.

...

...

...

But Rick doesn't have to die. Sticky is the only one you are forced to kill.

This dialogue after the fight always makes me feel awful.

Says a lot about a game when it makes me give a damn about an irrelevant boss character.

you forgot the horse

I didn't kill him, pic is what actually happened.

;_;

...

Wew, fucking casuals.

But Peco didn't die, just changed form from something that was mutated due to the crystals into an evil form and was cleansed to become a retarded but good budling.

Also did anyone ever actually use Peco in their party outside having to use his tech for story progression?

This boss battle left quite an impression on me

I didn't but supposedly since he starts at level 1, he can become a god of death with the right trainers.

Give Peco to Fahl, set him at the front of the triangle formation and never worry about physical attacks ever again while also shitting out constant counter attacks.

...

Just people fighting for the present and the future they hold dear.
And the final boss battle gave that message well.

Irving did nothing wrong. Despite the "no more heroes" theme, I still think that both him and his sister where the real heroes there.

arent they more like seahorses than elves?

...

nothing wrong with it.

it's not fun?

goddammit, why'd you have to remind me

They are a ripoff of WH40k Eldar, so no.

At least he didn't have any regrets.

hes totally a seahorse, they even have him in a fish tank

>She really was pregnant at that battle
>You actually killed a mother and her unborn child and you didn't give a damn

Denam is fucking stone cold

They don't look like elves though, and the Dragoon is taken from Space Marines.

Fuck you for reminding me.

...

I thought Peco was that thing's offspring or something like that. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention.

They look like what you would make if you were told to copy Eldar and thought that the mask they wore was their actual face.

Also Eldar have Wraithguards.

Exactly, but it's still the sort of victory that would leave a bad taste in ones mouth if you were directly involved in putting it down.

Irving had the right idea and I suppose was getting desperate by the end due to lack of available time, but he got a lot of people killed playing multiple factions against each other. I wouldn't say he did nothing wrong, but that he was certainly still doing something right.

This is what actually happened, isn't it?

...

Probably not. Starcraft was actually originally going to be WH40k-based, but Blizzard couldn't get the license and they made their own IP out of it. So it was probably an intentional decision so they could continue to use the same art assets and a way to make the Protoss look more alien than literal elves in space. I doubt an artist actually trying to make a WH40k game could make that mistake.

Funny enough Warcraft was also intended to be licensed as a Warhammer game before Games Workshop said no and they repurpose it into their own IP. GW is not known for making smart decisions.

Just imagine what could've been had GW just issued those licenses.

GW is fundamentally incapable of not shitting the bed.

>implying we would not just have Warhammer 1-3, the frozen throne codex, and eventually World of Warhammer

One might say "the end justifies the means".
At first, I thought he just wanted to be the edgy Valeria hero because muh ancestry, but in the end he really cared for Filgaia and ARMs. He was really adamant to do the sacrifice just to save what he cared for. It's part of his personality and Media.Vision did a great job at characterization.

That IS what actually happened
nier2.com/blog/2014/09/14/novella-the-fire-of-prometheus/

well its not like they would be more jewish, they would have have more games

HNNNNNNG THE FEELS

Yeah, I still remember that flashback scene about how he wound up crippled. It did indeed initially seem like he was really desperate to just be a hero (the Valeria name had suffered, but didn't seem to be as in the toilet as the Bernadette branch was), but then you learn the magnanimity of what was at stake. Combine the threat of encroaching universal annihilation, and fear of no one taking action quick enough, his desperation then was very understandable, and ultimately I think the backlash cooled his heels and let him think things through more. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong, been a while since I played it.

I still can't recall if there was an actual lore related reason for why he fucked his sister (beyond her being a bit too devoted to him), if it was somehow necessary to bind the parallel universe into them. And if so, how in the FUCK do you discover that sort of thing?.

"Peco is, as Momo believes, birthed from the charred remains of the mutant fought in the Dump as a "gift" to Ryu and friends. The team names him, and he joins the party."

Don't you have some warp stone dust to snort, you furry little bastard?

There was a dialogue in particular (at the end of Glaive le Gable) that made him look like he had changed his mind about the whole sacrifice thing, so I thought he was going to be the major villain and shit, but instead he pursued his mission to the end vanishing any doubt. Might be wrong as well, but that's what that moment gave me back then. Or maybe it was me failing at reading since english is not my first language.

**That's the question! The only thing that came up to my mind was related to the name he gave to his sister: Madonna of Destruction. Somehow I think that he made some correlation between his sister and the real Madonna, with the difference that the former had to "give life" to destruction (Encroaching Universe as a tangible body to be finally defeated) instead of giving life to a savior. And so they ended up fucking to save the world.
There might be hints about it in his diary, but honestly I never had the chance to read it. Implying it could be opened.**

I should really go to sleep, now.

th-th-thats all folks

Also the game still considers him dead. I guess more than a dozen tranquilizers would do it.

Rundas killed himself bro. he impales himself on ice spikes. he was the only one of the hunters with some semblance of his former self left.

And that is why I when posting heavy spoilers I put the markup in first and then write them.

I bet the Fargaia Chronicle would clear things up, but it was never brought west, never fan translated (admittedly that doesn't seem to happen a lot; Xenogears: Perfect Works being the poster child for when it does happen), and I have yet to find full scans.

Imagine if Corruption hadn't existed, and all we'd been left with for Samus interacting with other characters in real-time was the slop that Other M vomited towards us. Would we have ever considered it possible for Metroid to pull off a bro character? Would we have given Corruption so much shit for trying it if it came after Other M?
RIP Rundas.

...

Ramza, Milleuda and Wiegraf would have been allies since they were longing for the same thing, but they were all at the wrong place and at the wrong time (and Ramza was still a naive little shit at the time).

It still saddens me that Ramza killing Milleuda eventually pushed Wiegraf to selling his soul to a demon to get enough power to avenge his sister, and he still fails.

I left him to zombify so that Clem wouldn't alert a herd with a gunshot. He was a good man.

I feel you, Sticky is my favourite character in any video game.

Her entire life was miserable.

A certain boss in Prey.

...

...

Do you get to the Cloud District very often?

Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't.

If I can find a download source I might let a friend of mine translate it.
Guess it would be hard, but one can at least hope.

He was legit a cool character. Sure he was pretty empty but that's Metroid characters for you, broad strokes.

"Hey relax! We're the good guys! Justice will prevail and all that stuff. Right, Samus?"

Crocomire did nothing wrong.
check Metaquarius's channel

It made for some of greatest and saddest moments in any RTS.

The game forced me to kill her

Dwayne johnson he wa gud boy gettin his life on track after he did his time but it was either him or playcom x who I owed loyalty to

...

I GAVE YOU A FUCKING CHANCE STICKY! I DON'T KNOW WHY I DID, BUT DEEP INTO YOUR PEDO MIND I SAW THE PERSON I GREW UP WITH! WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST TAKE A FUCKING HINT?!

Again, sadly the issue is that I have never seen full scans of it. Photographs and partial sections of pages scanned, sure (pics related), but not the whole thing.

Still, if you're friend is able to make out kanji properly from somewhat low res text, see if he might be willing to look into Chronicle F. This one does have full scans courtesy of Desert Moon. Might be some good information about WA1/ACF hidden away in there, especially since the last few pages have some big interview.
desertmoon.org/scans.php?book=WAcF&page=0&limit=20

On a related note I never noticed until now that Irving's left arm was wrapped in bandages (that's high res art for you, compared to most WA2 art you can find that isn't formatted for late 90's/early 2000's wallpapers). I guess it wasn't just his leg he fucked up real bad.

...

Why didn't they stop?

who?

They brought it on themselves really.

Speaking of Fire Emblem characters

Cool line. What game is this?

Suikoden 1

Cool, I'll send him the scans and hope he can do it. At least the interview part which may contains something interesting.

First time I'm noticing too. There's no mention to it in the game.

I was about to say that you can't really kill him as he was already died once, but then I realized what I'm about to post.

I didn't want to end her But I had to leave the island.

You don't have to kill him, just force him to leave L.A. When Velvet asks about him, just say the problem has been taken care of.

Geese only dies in the end if you play as Terry or Andy. You can prevent his death by playing as anyone else.

If he can find anything of interest in there that could be translated, consider dropping some of it in a JRPG thread in the future.

Something in particular with ACF that I'm curious about is how the Japanese version handles the enemy organization. The western version of WA1 and ACF seem to treat "Metal Demon" as a proper name, but with Wild Arms 3 they're more or less just called demons, with the fact the have mercury for blood as a fact stated less frequently in passing. Makes me wonder if the western translation latched onto a description as a proper title or name, or if out in Japan it's treated the same way. Wonder if maybe the way Chronicle F's pages on the Quarter Knights handles things might shed some light on it.
