ITT: Short, but sweet good games

Kicking it off with:

Another World

Russian roulette.

Cheeky bastard.

I play this like once a year.
The genesis sequel adds full dismemberment and gibs when you die, which is odd considering you're just a child.

Fran Bow, point and click with both fairytale and horror elements
Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams, solid platformer with a killer soundtrack
They Breathe, an eerie avoid'em up with some interesting non-verbal storytelling
Aquaria, an underwater metroidvania of sorts with gorgeous aesthetics and a great abyss level (embed related)
Little Inferno, a comfy burn'em up by the world of goo guys

Are those related to the laura bow adventure games by sierra online for DOS? Seems like fran bow is laura bow's daughter to me.

...

Cactus Arcade 1 & 2

It is short, but if you want to get achievement you are looking at 15-20h of playing.

Gunpoint
Ronin

...

...

...

...

Momodora series
Cavestory

How about short games, that have a lot of re-playability?

Nuclear Throne
VVVVVV
Crimson Shroud
A metroid 2 remake
Axion Verge
Bastard Bonds
Vagrant Story
Spyro 1-3
Majora's Mask

...

...

Most games if you consider speedrunning.

Got a solid heh out of me

Was about to post this, the world record for surviving is at around 900 seconds which is short as hell but it takes a lot of skill and knowledge to be able to live that long.

Teleglitch, Rogue Legacy, Spelunky, FTL.

Honestly I'm having problems thinking of any that aren't indie rogue-lites.

Artificial difficulty out the fucking ass.

I loved the soundtrack, though.

its not really that short but sure felt like it in comparison to the other games
