Employer provided healthcare is a lot cheaper than Obamacare.
Obamacare imposes too many limits and nobody actually wants to provide for the program - they only do it out of obligation.
There's virtually no competition and not enough people buying in, so it costs a fuck ton.
Healthy people have no incentive to buy it (it's too expensive and they aren't sick, so they pay the fines), and people in poorer health finally qualify for insurance, but can't really afford the program. You need to be really fucking ill to make the program "worth" it, and if you can afford it, you probably have a job that gives you healthcare anyway.
Not to mention that even if they could afford it, the very poor and ill can just keep racking up medical debt and not give a shit because their credit is trashed anyway.

I honestly think 4chan dying won't actually grow this place that much if anything I think it will finally just destroy what little usability is left on twitter.

Most of my experience comes from dealing with a particular clique and their agenda.

These guys are more Holla Forums style - shitposting and chaos for the sake of shitposting and chaos, IMO. They're not necessarily allied with outside interests, but rather feel that anything that harms us, or benefits someone opposed to us, is good on those merits alone.

tl;dr they want to watch the world burn. When we had to deal with Holla Forums on GGHQ and the early Holla Forums threads, the common complaint factor was usually that "we take ourselves too seriously lulz." Ya know, because we actually want to accomplish things like a bunch of dirty normalfags would. They pry us apart for the fun of it because they want to see us fail and cry about it.

I'll say this: Unity efforts and outreach are important. This kind of disruption, if left unchecked, will tear a community apart into factions raring to go for each other's throats over the dumbest bullshit. When it gets bad enough to wreck the board and drive people away, the mods will have to act against it directly and that opens a huge can of worms. And they know that, because they post among us and feel the temperature of the water, so to speak.

To be honest I'm not sure it's a winnable fight once the infighting begins in earnest. I think the only solution might be proactive efforts. Unity-building activities like joint #OPs, and a strong moralefag presence and very open communication keeping heads cool. Anons tend to be hotheaded in general, so this is easier said than done.

I want to preface that I don't like what I'm about to say. But it may be true.

If a board's staff has a particular agenda its easy to spot and weed out "non conforming" posters. This is shit from a free speech standpoint, but it establishes a clear direction for the board and the kind of people it wants posting there. It creates an ideological momentum that's hard to fracture. It's like two rows of soldiers facing off, or two teams playing tug of war. Red Team Holla Forums vs Blue Team shills.

Conversely, if you want a board to be truly open without the staff taking up any agenda at all, it's like balancing on the head of a pin. The board gets pulled wildly in all directions by lots of small forces while the mods try to keep things sustainable, and there is no common ideological glue in the community to stop any of the wedges from being driven in. Its a sea of easily-shilled individuals instead of a unified front, and keeping it together take a ton more energy. Its like being a political centrist or a true neutral - the Left calls you Hitler because you're to their right, and the Right calls you a commie because you're to their left. Shilling division in that environment is much, much easier. GGHQ lived its life this way, and I don't have to tell anyone here how that worked out a lot of the time.

They can't do this all the way because some things the mods themselves are in the minority on. What they do instead is shit up the threads and refuse to moderate threads that are popular that go against what they want. Plus Moonman will go full shitposting sperg in them. If they'd actually fully crackdown on all the stuff they're against instead of the things that there is was a legitimate split on then it would be good because it would actually force people off and to a different alternative.

They'll never actually ban threads on meme magic and relations to the occult outright because it would chase off too many people, instead they just shit them up. But they will ban anyone that favors being tolerant of gays, one instance it being the majority of an entire thread. Another example being banning civic nationalists.
