Been playing Action Horror games because it's October.

Such a shame that the final boss in Resident Evil Revelations was pretty much a nobody character. The music was great, the atmosphere was oppressive, and the boss design was simple but imposing. If they had given him more of a character, he would've been a 10/10 boss fight.

The King of Fighters XIV since the new balance patch dropped. Shits fun; low tier characters got buffed and are a lot more viable now. High tier characters got their bullshit points tweaked but are still good. All the changes made me shake up my team and use characters I thought I would never use.

Outside of that I've been debating whether to start The Silver Case (finally got localized after 17 years), Exist Archive (copy came in last Wednesday but got caught up with KoF) or Lunatic Dawn: Passage of the Book (Just found out there was a fantranslation for it.)

Yeah, it's in the base game. It's a neat area, but you only spend a minute there. I really wished they went full crazy more often during the game. The moments where the world just goes full on insane on you, are the best parts. Like pic related.

I've been playing sanctum. It's ok with friends if you can get over the ugly, edgy, sjw character design. The chat system makes up for the bad stuff because it's the memebase alpha moonman voice.

Only played about 2 and a half hours so far, but you can really tell it's a Suda51 game, very stylish Visual Novel/Point & Click adventure. There are a few people running around bitching about the localization because one of the characters swears a lot, but in the jap version he's just as gritty and vulgar they added a bit more sentence enhancers to the dialogue. Overall it fits the character.

I've been playing Halo CE. Trying to beat it again on legendary. Both easier and harder than I remember. Only Elites, Jackals, and vehicles are ever a threat, outside the Grunt grenade chuckers. Honestly, Jackals end up being the toughest, thanks to elites being easy enough if you use a plasma pistol. Jackals almost work the same way.
Only places it gets hard are areas with no cover, or places full of vehicles. Maybe when I get to the flood it'll change.

OpenTTD. I finished a game (as in got to the end of 2050) and learned a lot about path signals and the potential of looped one-way tracks. The more complicated and varied production chains from the FIRS Industry NewGRF was a welcome addition to the base game.
This game is maximum comfy. Those cities look so nice, as do the increasingly complicated railroad systems.

Imo Lucky Chloe in Tekken 7 is a far better example of bad character design for pop idols in fighting games. But that might change once the game releases and her backstory/character can be more fully explored.

Multiplats were superior on PCs during 5th and 6th gen, because they weren't hampered by Windows (NT) yet.

Since 8th gen the optimized builds for "console" PCs are superior to those for generic Windows PCs.

Just finished Unholy Sanctuary.

With all the souls series games I've bought them at launch and then dropped them after getting a quarter of the way through, but this is because I playthrough the previous game entirely before hand, so I burn myself out on the gameplay. When I revisit them at a later date I appreciate them a great deal more and with the benefit of patches to hopefully improve things.

It's alright, but there are a couple issues. The camera fucks you over pretty frequently, and certain spots between land and sea are sloped in a way that make it far too difficult to just jump out of the water onto the land.

I've messed around with the level importer and I've found that there's a couple of different kinds of structures that are almost impossible for the camera to navigate through. You can't build a house unless the inside is its own area, otherwise the camera gets stuck on the outside walls. You can't build low ceilings or compact multi-floor structures because the camera gets stuck on the floor above you. You need to be careful with narrow, twisting corridors so that the camera doesn't fail to go around a sharp turn. There's probably some way to make the camera stay at fixed points around certain parts of the map but I don't think it can be done without extensive ASM hacking.

I've been playing some Rocket League recently. It's way more fun when you roll around blowing dudes up and blaring eurobeat. I've also been playing Blood. Episode 5 is way better than the past 4, just because of how many flares they give me and those new cultist enemies/less corridory design. Having dudes chuckin dynamite at you ensures that you're definitely going to be jumping all over the place and moving behind cover, as opposed to sitting behind it because of all the hitscanning shot/tommy gunners.
