Minecraft Server Sneaking

I'm hopping on empty Minecraft servers and seeing what I find.

Supposedly this server is hosted in France, but there's a bunch of German messages for some reason. There's also no bed in this building, which means I'm going to be running around in the dark again.

Be very careful about screeching russian kids

Well this was certainly worth a new thread.

I should probably take one of these swords. It's not like they're gonna miss it.

What's up with putting someone's head next to a lava pit? Is this the only person who's ever used the server?

I'm more worried about screeching German kids right now, but thanks for the tip.

...

Since somewhat interesting Minecraft thread, allow me to translate that strange gibberish language that is called German: The sings says "Hi you are not allowed to enter my home" (note the missing comma).

He can't even fucking spell.

Probably implies his name is Max. Still a spelling error

I thought at first that this would be the entrance to the underwater thing I saw earlier. To the left is a mine where I met a skeleton that took away half of my health, and to the right is a pit that would finish the job if I wasn't paying attention.

Thanks. I was half-expecting this server to have door protection or something given the welcome message and a starter kit of stone tools.

The OP is planning something, it better be worth it

I'm planning on posting screenshots of Minecraft servers, but I gave up on this one and I've been trying to find a halfway decent one since.

Did you fuck up your screenshots or is firetires using the servers for his new wheelchair AI?

The screenshots are just really, really dark because they didn't put any lights in the tunnel and I didn't bring any torches.

I hate joining a server in the middle of the night.

At least this place has a bed. I hope yuuki doesn't mind me using hers.

Collin's chest had a bunch of named items inside it along some random junk.

I left the storage room to see what else there was. A creeper chased me away from someone's house.

This house kind of sucks.

I wonder what's over the bridge?

Pretty much nothing, apparently.

This server has a pretty snazzy spawn. I wish the castle wasn't blocking the word Skyblock, but it's pretty cool anyway.

What am I supposed to be voting for?

I'm going to the survival world. I like this little mock house they have going.

Before I go…

It looks like the arcade and factions are works in progress.

What's this building shell going to be in the future? I hope it's as good as everything else here.

I don't really want to go to the Skyblock world.

Apparently these water-things aren't portals like I thought they'd be. Nevermind, then.

I find these threads to be quite charming and comfy. We need music.

This server is Swedish, apparently. What's with the dirt towers, though?

I'm glad you enjoy this, user.

Whoever runs this server likes lava and dirt poles. Cave systems are a plus, too.

...

What the fuck?

This server gave me a screen like my game crashed for about twenty seconds before kicking me here. I don't know what the hell is going on. I only know that there's a bunch of very colorfully dressed people around me, and one of them is named Rainbow Dash. This is enough for me to conclude that I don't want to be here anymore.

Go back. I triple dare you.

I hate servers that do this shit.

Maybe. I'll make no promises on the matter.

Wow, a night connect where I'm not immediately surrounded by zombies?

I took some eggs and entered a cobblestone building.

One door leads to the nether portal, the other two are exits. One of them seems to be a tunnel which fell victim to a creeper attack on the surface.

This treehouse is pretty neat. I especially like the lookout on the roof.

Comfy thread

Reminds me of my own adventures in Minecraft and it's modpacks, quite a long time ago

Don't you hate it when someone leaves half a tree floating in mid-air?

I wish this guy would use more materials. The trapdoor thing is nice, but the rest of the house is just so plain.

Probably under construction

New server. I showed up just in time to watch the sunrise.

What's this Overwatch thing? How do I use it? This doesn't look like just one command, either.

I hope so.

Can you activate the command blocks?

I right-clicked on the signs. The bottom one gave me the green message, the top one put me in creative, deleted that whole line of command blocks and stuff, and thanked me for playing.

I hope whoever runs this server has been diligent about backups, because I think
I deleted something he spent days working on.

Also, where'd this eye come from?

I've done this with shodan before, it's amazing how many people leave their servers open

You can usually left or rightclick the signs, or it is a passive command block structure

command blocks were the downfall of minecraft

They're basically a "single command" game mode module where all you have to do is install them. All the data to setup all the command blocks that make the game run is installed in one command, and that command spawns all the other command blocks. Hard to explain, but no you definitely didn't destroy anyones work.

Leave a sign with: youtu.be/rYRVukJraCY

There's so much more wrong with Minecraft than this. Optimization for example, which I think is fixed in the Windows 10 version.

These signs were nearby.

It is, isn't it? The Germans are more whitelist-happy than Americans, but still.

I thought that was the hunger system.

I see, thanks for letting me know.

I guess God died at some point. Does this make me God now?

Cute video, but no thanks.

New server.

Nice spawn, but it looks like he just built this on a flat world.

Windows 10 edition was built from the rewrite that was Pocket Edition by someone who isn't Mojang, of course it would be optimized. Also, I hear they're apparently working on a proper modding API with C#, not that shitty "plugin API" that Dinnerbone's been trying to push.

Doesn't look like I'm getting much further.

I spawned in to be immediately attacked by a zombie. Thank God a bed was in easy reach.

Fuck.

There are things that are broken, but that can be fixed. The command blocks added coding in Minecraft. These days you have to be an expert coder in order to make a decent custom map. Back in the day, you relied on redstone and the mechanics to create your map. That was freaking amazing. Now, command blocks are the main power in map making. Popular builders like FVDisco and Hypixel died to command blocks. Being a professional with redstone meant something back in the day, but nowadays it means jack shit since you can code a 4x4 sliding seamless door.

Some people claim that, but that wasn't even the worst. The hunger system was a giant mistake though, don't get me wrong.

is this a house made of watermelon?

Damn you codemonkey

Wait, what?

Note that I haven't followed Minecraft in several years, so I absolutely know nothing about the direction this game is heading in except that I heard that the Windows 10 version was written in C++.

I think they both share the same codebase.

I think this server was griefed. Odd that the perpetrators didn't kill the pack mule.

I'm not allowed to use the beds in this building for whatever reason, so I had to do a little bit of night running.

Very clever.

Do people really still run around asking for op on every Minecraft server they visit?

...

This guy has a problem with that.

wew

I was going to visit the website that one of the signs mentioned, but I guess it died.

Reminds me of that one server I found that was technically canceled and all the forum members were mourning its death.

...

...

I wonder what this means?

There was nothing else here, but at least this mountain is kind of cool.

Gonna be in trouble OP

...

ha-Ha! Too late!

Doesn't German means gibberish in english?

Damn!

New server.

It looks like Endermen have had their way with this forest.

Thanks for the translation. I hope I don't get hunted down or something.

(checked)
I doubt the admin has enough energy to do that.

This is a lot of underground farms.

This other house is neat. What lies beyond the portal?

Before we go crossing dimensions, I like to see everything the overworld has. Even if this might not seem like the "over"world.

Do I shmell watahmeluns?

I expected more from the bottom of this ladder.

You dumb nigger, watermelons have black points on red.

Dammit, Shank, you're not supposed to kill the trees. Or was that some sort of false-flag thing?

Why not just put a door on a portal if you're afraid of stuff spawning from it, or putting it in an enclosed space if you fear Ghasts?

awww shieet mistah but it looged doo delishious fo' dat.

I broke my way in and found not much. Is it just me, or does the Nether reek of wasted potential?

Pretty decent spawn location, but I've seen better

This server is hosted in the Czech Republic. I can't understand anything. There's 11 people on. I keep getting rubber-banded back to the start. This is uncomfortable.

New server. I felt my chest sinking on that last one.

This one speaks English, I think.

What's ToKS?

Oh.

There's just forests surrounding me. I doubt I can break the glass. On to the creative world, then.

Mon Dieu c'est la Guerre all over again.

I've never seen a creative server managed this way. Did they use a custom worldgen to achieve lots like this?

This server has a maximum player count of 256. This is all they've done with it.

Also, quit taking my skin away, goddammit.

Thanks, I guess.

Looks like the shop's closed.

Rise up, bright sun
Bring back the days again
Rise up, bright sun
Show us your face again
Seriously, stop with this night shit.

Oh dear, I've been spotted.

He appreciated me complimenting the server. Maybe I should have checked out the slot machines even though I was broke.

you bring a light?

Intermission. I've got some stuff to take care of for a little while.

Aw shit, Love these threads.

nice thread

I wasn't here long. I always get anxious whenever people start talking to me in these servers.

Thank you.

I can't cross this forcefield. Going into the basement kills my framerate. What's with this server? What are these weird rectangle things?

What a spawn! I think I'm going to visit the survival world.

Looks like a Captive Minecraft map.

I'm a little overwhelmed, honestly.

this place is gorgeous

The shop has a lot of stuff.

Uh oh, a forest fire started at spawn.

I used the /wild command and landed here. Lots of enemies around. Skeleton arrows hurt much more than I remember.

Abandoned game spelunking is fun and kinda… saudade?

I once couple of years a back loaded Action Half-Life (or the specialists) there were still a handful of servers. All empty.

Went around and looked for shit and giggles. Then on one server a another player joined in. He was doing the same thing.

We talked about how awesome that game was and how it is a deep pity that it will never come back.

I had to wait for day to come before I could continue.

Whoever owns this plot of land is clearly thriving. Is the rest of the world like this?

It seems I wasn't the first person to be teleported here.

Or the first person to be disappointed. Really?

This arena is okay, I guess.

There's a bunch of water underneath the whole thing. This is weird. Do you have to buy plots here or something?

Someone built a bridge, I'm leaving.

Finally, another person's home!

Do boats still lag servers really badly?

Boats handle a lot different from what I remember.

I tried to complete the GettingWood challenge. I guess I can't.

why do those boards have oars? when did they add oars?

Odd house.

I have more important shit to worry about right now, PickAxis.

I think since 1.8, maybe 1.9.

I jumped into the water below and surfaced to find an open door. The pit goes down to bedrock.

I hit /wild again and ended up here.

Apparently they have a mining world. According to previous announcements, it gets cleared every month.

that house design is pretty legit.

The best minecraft houses are the ones that you can make almost immediately after getting into the game and still manage to look good. Practicality with style.

Something important is through that hole. I can feel it.

I thought you were going to sneak with some hacks to be invisible onto some autists server and break his shit, lame.

...

You're new aren't you? Server Sneaking is for comfy.

What'd this guy grow? Why'd he stop?

Another time, maybe. This time, I simply observe.

This reminds me of the server I played on 5 years ago. Everyone left the spawn area and built in a new spot. So I would stay at spawn and rob everyone homes. the place was getting greifed hard. Even my home was subject to it. No honor among thieves. Lucky me I kept all my good shit hidden. I build my new home in the new town and would go to the old spawn town to see what was left. Lava was all over the place. I found my hold home mostly still up. the windows and doors were gone and some of my floor was missing. I gave up on finding anything so I became a thief in the new town and would find random homes to steal from in the wild. I left the server when thy got gay about their rules. I grabbed all my stolen gold, iron, diamonds and anything good and jumped into a pit of lava. No way was I letting anyone get my things.

I was wrong, there was nothing.

Please, not the monster hunt. I barely have a bow. Still, all these announcements make me wonder what the server was like when it was active.

I missed this lever the first time around. It just activates some pistons for a crappy little door. Lame.

Sounds like a good time.

Oh, now the bed's locked. It wasn't locked ten minutes ago when I used it to skip night, but now it is? Whatever, let's look at their website.

Last news post was from July, last new forum thread was on October 2, last forum post in general was on October 6 and that was in a shitposting thread.

No thank you.

Do it faggot, there's some laughs to be had there.

its probably a heart piece

Daytime resumed, so I hit /wild. After this place, I'm moving on to a new server.

Welcome to Yayness, I guess.

Aside from a tall tower farm, there's a small tent circle here.

Three floor house for free? How generous! The owner probably died in whatever event killed all the other users, though.

That's the second-biggest Nether portal I've ever seen.

Replanted my ass.
Really though, what's with all the empty farms?

Holy shit can you fuck off back to 4chan!

what are you a faggot?

This guy's got a portal placed just so that he can access a nether fortress. How lucky, until November 3 or whenever this server dies.

You appear to be trying to hard.

This server has a lot to say to me, but doesn't make quite as much of a fuss about it.

This trader sucks.

They represent the black cocks that Swedes submit to.

I like this little house.

Anyone want a link to the Minecraft adventure maps I made when I was 16?

maybe theyre extremely ghetto obelisks to help people find their way. i used to do that before i knew about coordinates

This is Crenshaw's place. You can tell because he wrote his name on almost everything. It's okay, Crenshaw, nobody is going to come steal your stable.

I thought this nether portal was a forest fire at first. Overall comfy-looking other than that stupid portal.

I don't really see what's so dismal about this mineshaft.

This is an impressively half-assed nether spawn.

New server. This is a pretty neat castle – it'd be even better if I could find the entrance.

Found it! Or at least, the way up to the top of the walls.

This guardpost is cozy, but would it kill the king to install a guard rail?

I was worried for a moment.

Ooooh, a minecart track! I love these!

Thank you very much, kind donor.

The one in here was pretty short, but what about the other one.

All the tracks are short.

My English skills are degrading as I get sleepier.

Fuck you too, server.

That's a lot of skeleton horses.

Was this supposed to be a market?

...

The adventure continues in yet another server.

Cobblestone-only houses are so boring.

...

At least the place where he built the house looks comfy enough.

This must be the mineshaft.

It really does.

I missed these signs earlier.

Building a home inside a cave is usually how I go about base construction in this game.

...

Welcome to what?

Welcome to a pretty boring server?

This guy was one block off from people spawning in on a pedestal.

I immediately got attacked by an Enderman. Fortunately, this house was sitting in the middle of the water and had a stone sword I could use.

Sure, let's go with that.

...

Seriously, how hard would it be Mojang?
Pattern table: crafting table with paper, make a pattern with 9 pieces of paper and combine the pattern with a table
Item Piston: sticky/normal piston with a hopper, for pulling items out of adjacent inventories and pushing it to a pattern table
You could have factories for fucking everything, and would give pistons a better fucking use than what they have.
Why can't Mojang do ANYTHING right?

Great post my friend, have an upboat.

New server.
Really? Putting invisible blocks in front of the only visible entrance? And what kind of person builds with coal ore?

They forgot the interesting parts of Minecraft long ago.

Dumbfucks forgot to make the blocks surrounding the invisoblocks indestructible.

I just spent ~10 minutes to reach the end of a pitch-black maze for this.

This is a Japanese server. I'd like to thank them for making their spawn into an iron golem farm.

I like it when a ladder provides a quick-drop method to get down. If only there was as fast a way to get to the top.

Looks like this is a branch mine.

I don't know why, but this makes me think of birthday candles.

Ooooh, a creative server! This one's hosted in the Netherlands.

Only bad thing about these servers is that the interiors are always empty.

All the floors here basically look the same.

Honestly, it feels like this guy built the same house three dozen times.

Moving on to another Japanese server.

Those houses look really spooky.

...

cant you make a rocket ship by driving a boat into a waterfall since boats want to be on top of water?

Yes, you can. I'd forgotten about that, unless they patched it out.

The boat would probably break, just like it does in virtually any situation. I'm starting to wonder if anyone on mojang even plays minecraft for fun ever, given they just make random additions and removals.

Yeah, this is a Japanese server, all right.

The button on the left "dispenses" a Lava block. The one on the right probably operates the trapdoor. If I used this thing, I'd kill a lot of cows.

Why is only one color of wool off-tilted?
What's the point of this railcart thing?
This server is interesting.

This looks like a hasty wheat farmer. The dispensers and the chests connected to them are bursting with bonemeal. What's the villager's role, though? Did he just wander in, or does he harvest the wheat?

What the hell is this building for?

I think I've found their storehouse. Some things defy language barriers.

...

I'm glad the people who play here understand the importance of good lighting. That seems to be sorely lost on other players.

A huge slime nearly killed me in the slime pit.

This is one of the few servers I've seen that appears to have a developed infrastructure.

thanks for the thread user it's super comfy

Whats at the top of that tower?

You're welcome. I should do this more often, last time was in July.

This. What a goddamn climb.

Whatever the case, we're going west.

Sure, let's go to the beach.

Nice beach house. Keeping it simple but well-done is underappreciated in Minecraft.

Not much in the nether, as always.

I can't move past this point. I expect something good from this place in the future.

This treehouse cleverly uses the vines as an entrance, though I suppose that's pretty common for jungle dwellings.

With that, I've got to call it a night. I've been at it for ~6 hours. I hope everyone enjoyed the thread.

Thank you user, the thread has been pretty comfy and nice.

see you next time mate

why is there a spooky skeletal stallion on every server?

Very comfy

every time you do these threads they're always nice and comfy

what's the game on the left side of pic?

villagers harvest and replant crops after some recentish patch. they have an inventory you need to trick them into filling first, so when they do that theyll just drop it on the ground.
