The demo leaks show 3 moves that are assumed to be the signature moves of each starter's final evolution, with "Throat Chop" being the move that is assumed to be associated with El Tigre. Physical Dark type moves are typically associated with underhanded or dirty tactics, like Feint Attack, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Foul Play, etc. and "Throat Chop" fits this move archetype. Secondly you have the coloration of El Tigre. There are only a few Fighting types with an overall black coloration, and one of them is a Fighting/Dark type (Pangoro). Thirdly, as seen in there is an obvious wrestling motif, but you also see it slamming a table against a Pikachu announcer outside of the ring. In mandrama you have faces and heels (this is where the term heel-face turn comes from) and heels are the ones who are usually antagonizing towards their opponents, refs, officials, crowds, and announcers while also using dirty tactics like using tables or chopping at throats. That's my point, either GF/TCPi/Nintendo wants to continue the two pairs of games each generation with new features/additions with the second pair that started with Gen V or they'll decide to do DLC/expansion (free or paid) for the first pair of games. It's just that Pokemon is also kinda a hard game to do actual DLC/expansion for as well.

The worst part is that they didn't even try to do that with Gen 6. Granted I can sort of tell they wouldn't try to fix any of the problems now that I've tried the demo and the way they solved in battle slowdown was not letting you turn on 3D.

I'm thinking the UB ball is a story based thing, like the Red Chain from Gen 4. In addition, it seems to share properties with the Cherish Ball in that it can't be bought and doesn't sell well? I think that's what he said. Basically someone else will use it in the plot probably. So no, we can't count the UB's. That brings it down to about the same as Gen 6, but at least Alola forms feel more permanent than megas even though there aren't even 30 of them.

That doesn't mean anything, user. Giving something a shiny coloration flag is just to prevent the game from completely crashing if someone decided to hack the game and put a flag on a UB for shits and giggles. It's the same reason that Arceus, Reshiram, Zekrom, etc. all have shiny forms coded in the games but are otherwise unobtainable in their shiny forms by official means. Same goes for the IDs, those are there because they exist in the games' index, much like how Pokestar Studios props and actors did in BW2.
That isn't a dead giveaway for anything like that.

The demo was scrubbed to an extent, so it's likely that they had these pokemon left in because they intended to use the timed events as a way of revealing them in time. There were several blank pokemon entries that were replaced by pikachu so it's almost guaranteed that there will be more that we won't see until the actual games come out.

It should have been obvious once Z-moves were revealed as the gimmick for this gen because they conflict with each other.

They made a big deal about how UBs aren't actually pokemon, so making them able to be caught and used like regular pokemon seems wrong to me. If I had to guess, it wouldn't be catching them so much as it would be sealing them.

The starters first forms are pretty solid, but I'm not fond of wrestler cat, and it may just be the pose but rowlets final evo looks too "busy". I'll probably take the furbait seal if its water/fairy though, if its water/ice I'll probably abandon my starter unless wrestler cat is a dark type.
