the only thing you can do to semi-counter it is securing your pc as much as possible and make it as hard as possible to tie your pc to yourself. if the powerfull people want you arrested or smeared, they will find a way. the only thing you can do is act. act like you are their agent, and when you amassed enough following, steer the ship in another direction. the general population is much more open to our ideas than the politicians, so try to couple your stances to the population, making it harder to just dismiss.
