Have you ever actually been to a farm? I grew up in the country, many of my friends owned family farms. For one thing, most farm owners aren't the big nasty evil corporations you saw in your propaganda films. There are lots of farms that are owned by small families and those people wouldn't even have the funds to acquire the hellish death-machines you believe exist in every livestock farm.

But even if we assume that all farm animals are treated poorly, that ISN'T an argument to not eat animals. That's an argument to treat the animals we do eat with better respect.
