A good character is a good character. Look at Kreia or the Boss. They don't look like stereotypical "women can do things too lol" but characters who are well-written and are believable. As a TPS it's decent. All the enemies you fight are robots so it has this really cool limb damage system where you can blow off the limbs off mooks or destroy their heads and having them go berserk and attack their own, and with bosses there's lots of armor to be stripped and weapons off the bosses. However it feels kind of "scripted" at times, as in movement really isn't that satisfying, but the shooting is. The characters are all very interesting(Besides Faye who's only there to look hot and nothing else) and the trust system is done really well, as in you actually get better trust scores by doing better in gameplay. It's a fun game and you probably already have it in your library since they gave it for free a while back. If not go ahead and pirate it and see how it feels. Stick with it until you get Caine, if the game did not hold your interest then drop it.

It's a bit cheesy B movie sci-fi action game that has a thought provoking story behind it all. It also looks beautiful. The shooting is bloody amazing and impact from your bullets actually change what your enemies will do depending on where you shoot them. For a TPS, I give it a recommendation.

As a bonus, it's got voice commands ranging from standard fare to silly banter. It's a bit of a pain to get working, but it's pretty nice. Also the bosses are a great highlight too, such as a huge mechanical death spider and a giant highway death machine. I highly recommend getting the game, especially on PC where the frame rate doesn't hover around headache territory.

It's worth mentioning the port is excellent. My low end 9 year old toaster played it like a dream with not a single dip in frames ever.

What system did you play it on? I was thinking of picking it up for steam, and most of the reviews said the port is pretty bad. I could also play it on PS3.
