Corpse Party Blood Drive, Valkyrie Drive and Ar Nosurge. MGS1 occasionally as well.

Dungeon Travelers 2. Nights of Azure. Physical Ar Nosurge.

PS TV, still waiting for it to be delivered.

>And most importantly, are you still having fun?
A ton.

Is Vita piracy in full swing now or when?

Checked
Not sure if you're the same guy I was talking with in the last thread, but there's a preowned US one on Amazon for $99.99 right now.

Valkyrie Drive is really gonna help fuck over feminazis when they screech about making lesbians that aren't manhating spiteful dykes.

May have to look that up then. Would be pleasant.

Is it just me, or is the framerate fucked in the game?

Power Stone which is fun as fuck, Manhunt 2 which is eh, and Neptunia RB2 which feels much better on a handheld.
More survival horror games or sales on handhelds.
Nothing now.

Not sure, I haven't given it a go myself yet (wanting to give AT1 and 2 a go first, but I'm stuck on waiting for a means to play AT2 with the patch since my computer's a toaster). Just something I've kept tabs on from time to time given how pricy it is for other anons looking for it that don't want to pay $180+ just because TK refused to do a regular retail physical release for whatever reason.

Anyone working on putting the PS4 translation into the Vita version for Nights of Azure?

Is the physical English version Ar nosurge+ rare? I somehow ended with 2 copies when it came out.

You don't exactly need a beast of a machine to run AT2 on PCSX2.

There's comments here and there, but until it's decrypted for PS4, isn't happening. Be great when it does though.

Hopefully I can import it.

Well, in the west (maybe just NA even? I don't know if PAL even saw the physical release), the physical print was rather small in size, and distributed solely online. Also would surprise me if the fact that, while TK and Actill handled publishing and localization respectively, NISA handled the physical distribution had left a fair amount of people (the ones that prefer physical anyhow) that might have got it when it came out now stuck dealing with the resell market due to not wanting NISA to see a cent. Similar case with Atelier Escha & Logy Plus out here.

These days Ar Nosurge Plus seems to average maybe $180-200 online, at least from what I've seen.

I would assume that a physical copy will work with any Vita, and as far as I know, what DLC it did have is no longer officially available to download (namely pre-order/first print costumes), so I don't think there would be any issues on that end either. You might want to double check though.

Not sure if the seller is willing to export it out of the area though. The item description doesn't mention anything, so I assume he's anticipating a US or at least North American buyer.

I Ordered a second copy off VG+ in a panic because i thought the first one got lost but it showed up 2 months later. I guess i was lucky in the end if their doubled in price in the meantime. I'll probably sell it some day.

Its so retarded they wont even fucking SELL the DLC costumes anymore. Seriously wtf is up with that. Some of them are quite good as well.
I should really dump the AnS+ DLC if i noone else hasn't already.

What are my PCSX2 prospects with an i7-930 @ 4ghz?

I'd certainly appreciate a DLC dump of it if possible.

Still, there's some companies I will give credit to for making sure pre-order/first print DLC is exactly that, keeping them special rather than it just being a freebie voucher for otherwise paid costumes. The big issue is whether or not they make it all that clear that they're even doing a pre-order bonus to begin with, since if they don't even mention it, there's going to be people that are disappointed down the line. I didn't even hear anything about Ar Nosurge Plus having had them until months after they'd already taken them down.

The funny thing though is that they're still on the PSN, they're just inaccessible if you didn't grab them while you could (checking some games on the storefront on my PS3, sometimes you'll briefly see a game have additional content while it's still loading, though it quickly becomes hidden again).

PCSX2 doesn't even utilise half of my modest i7 4700HQ and it still pulls 60FPS with 4x the internal rendering resolution and a bunch of graphical improvements.

Denying people access to DLC *entirely* because they didn't buy the game on launch or didn't want to spend a fortune on a LE is fucking bullshit and its something that should just fucking die already because everyone who missed out of the DLC has effectively an incomplete game they wont able to complete outside of piracy.

I'll see if i can dump it. Gotta back up everything first because if i lose my AnS+ 100% save i'm gonna scream.

Yeah, admittedly I wish that games would come complete as is (or at least go back to full on expansion packs for stuff) and have any bonus be something physical (I still have an old Rayquaza tin from Pokemon Emerald that I keep stuff like memory cards in).

Oh, and again, in the case of Ar Nosurge Plus, Atelier Escha & Logy Plus, and probably some other games too, any pre-order/first print bonus DLC was technically available to anyone to download while they could (even without the game, you can just store that sort of thing on a PS3's hard drive to transfer later when you have the game, though from my experiences the Vita will try to force you to update past 1.60 or whatever to transfer anything), so it wasn't so much that people that didn't buy the game at launch couldn't get it (the way a game with an actual pre-order code voucher fucks over anyone that didn't do so later). Big issue there was that TK didn't exactly make people all that aware of Ar Nosurge Plus having timed costumes to download. I at least did my part to keep tabs on when the E&L bonuses went up on the US PSN (which was like a week or so after the game came out here for some reason) and at least let people in Vita threads at the time know when it was downloadable.

You want to talk about bullshit though, I think Tales of Xillia 2's (formerly) pre-order DLC had it the worst. Japan effectively got three cameo costumes free with purchase at launch, while here in the west it was Collector's Edition only, locked behind a $130 (plus tax) price tag. Fucking Bamco.

I know that. You know that but most people wont know. I have lots of DLC in my download list for games i don't even have yet.

And yeah Bamco is the worst fucking offender with this shit.
The Xillia 2 thing pissed me off to no end since Millia's Asbel costume was probably the best looking one in the game.

The pulled the same thing with Xillia 1 btw.

They also silently pulled some SAO: Hollow Fragment DLC which fucked me over when i had to re-install the game and i could not load my save because of missing DLC and i had to reinstall all the DLC 1 by fucking 1 from that piece of shit download list.

They also pulled some serious bullshit with Cybersleuth as well by making all pre-order DLC and themes part of a timed bundle on Vita trying to force people to buy the game on launch or miss out on the DLC and themes forever.
At least some kind soul uploaded the Cybersleuth Vita themes shortly after Henkaku came out. Bamco's loss since i would have bought the theme had they just fucking sold it separately.

Not exactly. I mean, they tried to fuck everyone that didn't opt for the CE out of the the Cress and Stahn outfits, but when they upgraded all the regular purchases to a LE first print they relented and included it freely. I kept hoping they'd do that with Xillia 2 (you're certainly right about Milla's Asbel outfit; she rocks the disco-knight look better than Asbel himself in my opinion), but no.

Reminds me a bit of something I heard it regards to NISA botching the DLC for Disgaea 2 PSP (I think), in that different DLC sets wound up conflicting with each other and ruining the possibility for 100% completion, or something.

Ok i dumped the DLC. No idea if it works since i cant be arsed to dump the whole game just to test it.

Rar password is Ar Tonelico 0

Thanks, but trying to extract gives me an error about "No files matching the mask" with the program I'm using. Doesn't even ask for a password to try to extract it either.

What extraction software do you use? I can extract it just fine with Bandizip

I'll see about giving that bandizip a try. Tried a few programs thus far, last one (Stuffit Expander) I tried gives a more direct message that the structure of the file is damaged and cannot extract. Not the first time this has happened to me recently either. I suppose maybe I might need more up to date extraction tools as well; think what I have set up right now was stuff my previous computer had on it years ago.

Also, it's probably just coincidence, but when the mega link changes upon going to the actual page, part of the new URL outright reads as "bug" followed by a bunch of numbers and the .nz domain. Just strikes me as odd, given the file won't extract.

It's most likely a problem on your end, since I just downloaded it and extracted it fine.

People still use Stuffit expander? I haven't used that since Mac OS 9.2. I thought they tanked since OS X uses .zip like the rest of the planet rendering their software obsolete.

I'm assuming your on Mac since no sane windows user would use Stuffit Expander so i cant help you with software.

And the url thing is definitely on your end.

Do me a favour and tell me if it works if you have a dumped copy of Ar nosurge installed.

Sorry, I don't have a version of it at all.

Tried another program and got it to extract (this time it actually asked for a password and everything). And again, the programs I have on my current machine were from years and years back. I mostly just packed stuff onto an external when my old computer started shitting itself and transferred wholesale what I had. I think I might need to do some belated spring cleaning if I'm having issues just extracting with certain things. Not much point in keeping around what's not working anymore.

Just to double check though, does DLC download like this only work with dumped games, or would it ideally also work with a physical copy and be indistinguishable to the game/system from the intended method of downloading from the PSN? I know you'd need Henkaku either way, but I'm just wondering how it actually functions for it, whether there would be issues for someone with a physical copy or not.

Dumped DLC only works with dumped games. The reason is that legit games will look for encrypted DLC and dumped games are patched during dumping to look for decrypted DLC.
So if you want to use it you'll need to dump your legit copy first or grab one off the net.

You will need Maidump tool to install the DLC btw. Just drop the PCSE00707_addc folder inside ux0\mai on your vita and launch Maidump tool. the rest should be obvious.

All the KT Vita ports have a fucked framerate. At least, all the "Plus" games have a fucked framerate. I don't have a copy of Atelier Sophie yet, so I can't confirm there.

Ah, I guess that makes sense. Was hoping that perhaps it could be used with actual physical copies, but I suppose in cases like Ar Nosurge, less people have access to those than normal anyhow.

Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
Root Letter
Snagged a physical copy of One Way Heroics when it went up on LRG, hasn't shipped yet.
But Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni comes out soon so I can hold out.

I'm also thinking about buying one of the Burnout PSP games, but I don't know.

7 months and no Vita report. Call me when/if they make it PSN only DLC.

1. You are posting in the wrong thread
2.
then don't post at all. I can cat /dev/random all day, doesn't mean it works.

What should vita noob start with? Got rayman. Takes 12% of memory card

Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain

I assume you're asking

Dying Light, waiting for Valkyrie Drive
My copy of Valkyrie Drive, for XSEED/PQube to announce Uppers in english, for IFI to get off their asses and give us Moe Crystal and 7 Pirates.
Picked up The Silver Case from LRG last night.

Gravity Rush would be my first pick. It's a fun, 6~8 hour game that's easy to get for less than $20. Ys Memories of Celceta is similar, i've never played it myself; however, it's apparently one of the best in the series.

If you've got an FPS itch, the only good FPS on Vita is Killzone Mercenary. And it is pretty decent, all things considered.

Project Diva F2nd wouldn't be bat to pick up, since you can get it cheap. I don't think it has a very large update patch, if it even has one. But if you can't into Vocaloid you'll probably not like it.

Finally, any of the Vanillaware games. Dragon's Crown, Muramasa Rebith, and Odin Sphere. They're all fucking glorious. Muramasa is long as fuck, Dragon's Crown is pretty short, not sure how long OS is. As far as I know, none of them have large update patches even if they do, you could always just, y'know, not download the patch.

Thanks.

I'm going to be getting the Rice Exclusion Edition of Root Letter.

Am I going to regret this?

I'm just getting the VGP version since it's much cheaper and still has the art book, I can just download the soundtrack only and the rest of the stuff I don't really care about

archive.is/fFfLp

News I guess. I'll probably get the Japanese vita version, myself.

Oh good, for a second I thought you meant the game got delayed.

xseed really needs to start taking what their projected release date is for a game and add 2 to 8 months on it.

Do you really think Sony is dumb enough to not make another handheld after the Vita dies off? Nintendo is slacking with their handheld and no one else is even competing with them for the handheld market. So why wouldn't they want another handheld?

Given Sony a shit and no one ever learns, what will they do for PS PostVita?
>forced internet connection and PS+ to run games

THEY HAD ONE JOB.

ONE. FUCKING. JOB.
**i'll still pick it up anyway, more than likely. Still though, sheesh.*

New Mary Skelter trailer is out.

So along with the game, they're also launching a light novel that functions as a connection with the story? Huh. Sounds interesting.

And also the "prologue" apparently covers the birth of FeMC? I'm assuming that's who 「血式少女」 refers to. Iunno looks like a chuuni phrase or I'm still not learned enough.

Hope this is gets a physical release in japan or atleast a non-nisa localization

Hope it doesn't cost 40 dollars like the other. That game would have done better on Steam/Gog and sold for 15.

Anyone else had issues like this trying to play it on their Vita?

Is Exist Archive going to be worth a pirate? Anyone know its file size?

My buddy told me that PSV games have touch screen and motion controls. How does that work on PSTV?

It doesn't.

So what happens then?

That's what the whitelist was there for. If it doesn't have support for the PSTV then it won't run.

Is there anything important I'll be missing without games that have touch or movement?

Bought a Vita yesterday and liking it so far, a shame Sony likes to be retarded, it could be so much better. I'm really glad I preordered Ar Nosurge+ even if I couldn't play it for over a year, I expected the price to jump but not that much. Fucking scalpers, man.

Regarding Deception IV, how much better is Nightmare Princess compared to Blood Ties? I'm going for physical releases whenever possible and the price difference is quite steep, so I was thinking of buying the latter if it's not too inferior. If that's not the case I'll just wait for a PSN sale or something.

Hmm, more games support it than don't, I think. Don't know if there's an official list but reviews2go.com/playstation-tv-compatible-games-north-america/ is pretty up-to-date on this stuff.

It honestly surprises me a bit that it's gotten so pricy. I mean, sure, it was a limited release, but it's not like it or the Ar Tonelico games before it have been real popular out here (I'm pretty sure Atelier is the more popular of Gust's franchises). Makes me wonder how often one of the scalpers actually sells a copy at the prices they ask, or if they just price them like that because everyone else is and they don't feel like losing that much profit in pricing it lower.

PSTV has a clumsy substitute for the touch interface, and that's for the games that are actually on the PSTV whitelist. There's a large swath of titles, both Vita and PSX, that aren't on said whitelist.

The interface, as stated, is pretty clumsy. R3/L3 to activate either 'poke' or 'rub', with R2/L2 focusing as the poke/rub buttonts (press or hold), move the cursors on the screen with the sticks. As stated, it's clumsy as shit and you will quickly fuck up or botch any touch-related scenario you're playing out on a game.

I've thought about picking up a TVita for a while now, not just for exclusives, but also smaller games that I think would be more at home on there like Shantae, Shovel Knight, and Root Letter rather than my PS3 or Bloodbornestation. (yeah yeah I know)

Any recommendations for first games? I have an interest in Valkyrie Drive, P4 Golden, Superdimension Neptunia, and Muramasa for reference of the types of games I'm interested in.

Just got access to the advanced classes in DT2, do I need to have super well planned party comps to get by? I like this game a lot so far, but now that I have more than 5 members it's a bit of a pain trying to give everyone the same amount of xp

no obstacles, trees or landscape: tried/10

user, that's not going to happen. It's depressing.

Reminder that PQube lied about the 100% uncensored release and censored Valkyrie Drive. Idea factory international also censored MegaTagmension.

Oh vey, any proof?
If true, now they will know my full wrath.

The cuck at censored gaming channel: xddd small changes are acceptable. Censorship is acceptable as long as I agree with it. Xseed's tom aid they didn't need to change the ages so they were forced to do it is a big lie.

Is there a list of games requiring or forcing FW updates.
Havent updated the vita in a while and want to get DQB and some other games down the line.

twitter.com/PortableNiche/status/783920288442351616
mmm, this it?
If so, that's ommision of detail, not censorship.

If this is your account, lay off the doritos. I need hard evidence of real censorship.

refresh just-in-time. here's how to embed

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I am sure executive decisions are acceptable if you agree to them. m8, really layoff doritos.
Bwuhahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Need more than just omission. If you don't like censorship, try making your own game, English to Nipponese with a localizer, tell me how that works out with CERO.

Just finished reading forum.ideafintl.com/post?id=8266895
I will not even call it shoddy, I'll call it what is: agenda localization. Shitcalization for short.

I'll end your little rant:
If you don't like something, fix it

You don't like p-cube "lying"? Fix it.
You don't like bad and agenda-filled localizers? Fix it.
You don't like censored media? Fix it.

How you go about them is your choice. I won't stop you. But do note others have made their own. Respect their decisions as much I respect your post.

lol, let me reflect a retweet
twitter.com/EliasToufexis/status/762412806591438849
The same is true for localization. If you don't like it, fix it.

Could this bring them into legal trouble in some countries? If they had to do it because of retarded anti-CP laws it's fine by me.
also I had hopped TOR-fag had moved on after he was absent from the last two threads
>mfw he's back

Do I buy another Vita for translations, or buy Dungeon Travellers 2, maybe a few extra games as well.

Fucking PS TV came and was on 3.61. Guess have an active online one.

Just got an email that my VD is on the way. Pretty excited.

Depends, not legal trouble per se, but removal and declassification yes. The omission of detail is perplexing at best, but not censorship.

I've done localization myself in the past, and I have omitted things out of mistakes. If p-cube makes a statement, we'll know for sure what occurred. But I see no censorship yet.

refund, buy another.

Tell us if you find any other censorship issues ;^)

That's most definitely it. I assume that if they were to straight up say that a character is under the age of consent while being more than suggestive about the sexual themes they'd probably get legal trouble outside of a high age rating.

Just read over bits of this thread and the user who posted the link to the Neptunia Zombies game. If all PQube removed was the ages, I can tolerate that. If any cosmetics or gameplay or story/dialog were altered to veer away from the original intent that's another story, but I do wish PQube had been upfront about the censorship of the ages.

That Nep Zombies stuff though? No, that won't fly. Very glad I didn't get suckered into getting it.

That's generally separated from porn and sexual content in European nations. They generally have their age of consent lower than 18 while still having underaged sexual content criminalized.
In Germany for example sex with 16-year-olds is legal but if you pay for it or record the act in any way you are in deep shit.

[Citation needed]

Legal things are legal. Classifications are other.

Object: omission of ages

Reason: ???

Plaintiff: Pleads 5th

????

That's wraps up this "legal" case, and were we stand.
Nothing else can happen, or should.

This is a simple fix as patching the game, both from fans or p-cube.

feel the same, as your jackpot.

Age of consent has nothing to do with fictional works in electronic media. I have no idea where these "legality" pundits are coming from.

Ok so I've not been in a Vita thread for about 3 months, not since Odin Sphere, but what the fuck is this TOR fag shit? Is this normal? How the fuck did you let this happen to the vitag?

That's why I underlined the difference in the very post you are replying to, genius.
There certainly are/were countries that criminalized fictional sexual content depicting minors. So I asked if that could be the case for some European countries. I remember the UK occasionally being very pushy and finalizing/debating ridiculous laws about sexual content.

because there wasn't vita threads past 3 months in 8ch, unless you are confusing sites.

TOR is an onion routing protocol, one of many. It is used by many people around the world to do things on the web, and sometimes mandatory in regimes where the normal internet is censored.

ah, you are from 4chan, thus unwelcomed here.
this should be your link: boards.4chan.org/vg/thread/156744289
off you go, and stay go, thank you much ♥

cite them, because that doesn't seem to be the case here with VD:B and p-cube.

Pleading silence seems to be working in their favor regardless of reason.

Holy shit I already miss when the Vita threads had people like that autistic furry druggie alcoholic that had his mom buy him video games. This TOR autist is way less fun.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_status_of_cartoon_pornography_depicting_minors
Here, knock yourself out. It should be easy to fact check the claims using the wiki page as a guideline.

huh, that shit is sponsored by 4chan? fuck off then.

thanks, perusing, esp. for a EU game that's already been published before the Americas.

The head marketing of PQube is funder of rice digital which went full sjw when play asia called out sjws. I wouldn't expect much from PQube. Looks like the only option to play game uncensored is to learn the original language. Don't think it's worth it though.

All of this "cartoon pornography" bullshit is besides the point.

The second Drive scene has a girl put her hands on another girl's breasts. The third has the girl's clothes rip, and then she gets hugged from behind. The final drive scene is a fucking kiss, nothing more. The girl's clothes are removed entirely, but just like in SK breasts and groin are covered by lightbeams. And Tom already said that the choice to remove ages from the SK games was just that: a choice. They didn't have to remove ages to release it, they simply chose to.

This isn't goddamned pornography, no one is having sex, and there would be no legal issue in most places.

real next

Ages are past puberty, thus not CP, and no sexuality, next

based.

No sex, not underaged, next.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, something about this country
So only NZ could fine p-cube. Great they are being silent about it.

So Norway could, but the characters are past juvenile, thus annulled suggestion, next

Based Poland, actually criminalizing pornography of minors! VD is a work of fiction, thus non-contender, next

I should skip this one, 'cause we all know how fickle Swedes are. But let's be through out:
Thus P-cube be fined!

I don't even wanna, but hafta:
Key wording "representing children". these are teens, so p-cube bordeline safe. However:
Thus not fine.

so let's count!
6:3, and that's just that list!
Recall fiction is non-contender to actual CP, which is why these laws were made. You would need to account hebecon or past that, since the characters are 15+, just above Teen.

You know, just because I have an Asian friend, doesn't mean I am Asian.
It's one detail, one patch. It's exactly like hunging up on the fact that a fruit in at the grocery had a pimple, thus you cannot buy the game, or support the importer.

Guess what,

wait, I'll let you conclude that on your own.

this person gets it.

I already mentioned that tom said there is no legal problem and was because of butthurt producer. They just keep ignoring the posts to defend these companies and how they were forced to do it. Wasn't rance published just recently in US and had no problem.

Learned a new English label:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephebophilia

this is what VD:B would be label under, so better remove ages and not deal with persecution, right?

Ambiguity is the mother of all lawsuits.

I see the same, Jesus. There's no legal precedence of omission if there was any. There is omission, but not censorship.

Can anything be done about it? I'll let you decide

You know, I was going to cite german laws regarding this but I can't seem to find them. All I have is this:

This is taken right from the USK rating board on the subject of Criminal Girls 2 and it's subsequent indexing. Just a few years back a politician was caught owning child pornography (actually just nudes of minors) on his PC (it was dubbed the Edathy affair, don't know if this reached international news or not). That sparked a public outrage and a sudden want to sharpen laws. It went as far as parents fearing that photographs of their nude children would be deemed criminal.

The new laws basically tried to diminish the sharing of child pornography and nude images of minors online. The quote above was basically made law as to prevent photoshops and the like (specific wording 'virtual depictions') simply ignoring the new laws. You could argue about 'realistic' and the art style that Criminal Girls or Valkyrie Drive have, but according to the USK (and the fickle nature of law) it's deemed inapropriate and is of potential harm to children (in the form of customers mind you, our retarded system basically just forces you to import, all to save the poor children of becoming corrupted).

It'll be interesting to see how the BpJM will rule on the USKs decision in the following months. Considering that stuff like Senran and GalGun haven't been a problem and are both rather recent releases this decision might just be reversed.

This doesn't even make sense. I can look at and have sex with real 16 years old, but I can't look at drawn pictures of 16 years olds? Please nuke this defective country.

Call me when CP means fiction. I can understand Germans believe

What the fug. Is this the same TORfaggot who always posted pirate-related post. Go back to the piracy thread.
also

The only thing left is to hope that Hilary wins, so that she'll take NATO to war with Russia and we'll be purged in nuclear hellfire.

this was awful: gamefaqs.com/boards/144567-valkyrie-drive-bhikkhuni/74382269

I wish I could delete half of my post here, but codemonkey won't let me.

Let it be known than some people bitched that in VD:B the ages were omitted in the character profiles. P-cube liked one post:
twitter.com/renji4404/status/784258501874810880

This was all the rave about "censorship" and being "lied to".

Is this the same complainer that likes to play identity politics at every opportunity while not contributing to a thread? If so, fuck off.

hehe, read about that. According to intel, the electors are being pressure by George Soros to auto-vote Hillary regardless of the popular vote. If history is correct, she will win the electoral vote, thus the presidency.

However, how the public reacts is exactly up to Americans to decide.

Nope, I'm the guy who told you everytime take your links to the piracy thread. I read your previous post and I still don't know why you are so butthurt over Nep and VD changes.
Yes, if this is censorship (and no, I'm not aproving it), at the end of the day you are going to pirate it anyway. If you really are against this kind of cersorship, you can see not everyone share the same opinion.
See how DT2 with those 4cgs pics altered/censored is still considered the best drpg game recoomended on vita.
Now I'm thinking that if you already downloaded pirated the 2(3) Senran Kagura games on vita, and not applied a patch to add back the removed ages, then you're a hypocrite.

I wish he would as well honestly. I get tired of his semi-broken english and autistic ramblings that shit up the thread. I just want to lurk, wish I didn't have to filter.

Filtering works wonders.

What links to piracy? We are discussing VD:B, you are derailing a thread, if you are missing the point: Rule 8.
I am not. If you trailed my posts, which I know you've dismissed as noise, I dismissed this notion:
Others have waived in their ill-opinions with no facts like yours about me.
I did that past 3 threads ago, when it was posted in /hbg/, if you missed it.
Because it isn't censorship, and I can tell I am a minority my opinion, because P-Cube, renji4404, and plenty others on both that gamefaqs and ideafintl forums agree with it. As to why that matters to the conversation at hand, I see none.
But we are not discussing that, unless you want to.
Which is a known fact. The even better fact is that I helped patch the full Nude mod, unlike whining about it all day to publishers and developers.
I love your projection there. Make sure to turn it on High, so that you will get a like.

You can do that without posting, like plenty others…

It's like magic

Both of those are non issues, really. The only thing offensive about Megatagmension is the fact that it's a shittier version of Nep U with less content.
PQube has kinda crumby localization. It's serviceable and not NISA/NoA-tier, but it is like if Doki fansubs localized vidya. I wouldn't be surprised if the ages got left out in error. I also couldn't really care less about the ages anyway.
Fuck off, you're clearly just looking to get a rise out of people. Retards like you make the rest of us look like assholes when we complain about legitimate censorship.

It is. I don't even play games in anything but their original language anymore.

Pray tell, oh God of Everything Whose Knowledge Eclipses the Sun and on Whom All Peons Depend, where, EXACTLY, do you draw the line between "legitimate" censorship and other presumably "illegitimate" censorship?

And do bear in mind, you ignorant fuck, that most people are angry about the LIE and the mockery, not the removal of ages. Being promised one thing and given another tends to set people off.

Didn't know this. Comparing the two, I am noticing it.
Believably this happens more often than not, but in the regard with P-Cube it looks intentional:

Where hyperboles are not part of the conversation. Omission of detail is not a sign of censorship. Censorhip is 1.The suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.2.(in ancient Rome) the office or position of censor.
en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/us/censorship
None of which signs of are present in the game.

When you do have something to show, do tell.

There is no lie, there is no mockery, only silence and a like. Thou are exaggerating.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
THEY ARE LAUGHING AT THE SITUATION TOO LOL!

Torfag, why do you still come here? You don't like us. We don't like you. You don't even like our language, and can barely speak it. Why do you insist on shitting up these threads? Aren't there other communities in your native third world shithole language you can pozz with your goddamned autism? Or are you so fucking annoying you aren't wanted there either?

Omitting the ages isn't really censorship. The game is about lesbians with huge tits. Removing the lesbians with huge tits would be censorship. Omitting the ages doesn't alter the graphics or story, at all. What does it really take away from the game that wasn't there to begin with? No one is going to say "lol I don't know how old these fictional girls are, I guess the game is ruined."
You and maybe 3-4 other spergs on gamefaqs and twitter. Everyone else has stated they don't give a fuck or they are openly mocking you.

I just want to play videogames. My copy of VD hasn't shipped yet. I've finished Dying Light; now I am in the juxtaposition of having everything and nothing to play.

Answered that in past threads. I don't have to like you or be liked to look for PSV threads and content. I will reply if I want, as can you.
I wonder where you got this idea.
3-4, sorry. You aren't the majority here.
So you are English? While I laugh at suggestion, a language is a tool for conversation. I don't get to decide how majority decide to converse, only partake on it or not. Have you learned Nipponese yet?
Speaking is not writing. Making mistakes shows humanity.
That would be you sir, thus enjoy your report.
I can only wish. But since it isn't the case, get comfortable, I am here to stay.
10k.
Any more tangential identity political thinly-veiled post you want to say?

There people were concerned that they were being lied to about no censorship claim. Instead of explaining and admitting what happened they decided to shit on their fans instead. At least when XSeed did it to SK Tom admitted it before release and explained how his coworkers are faggots.

Is there a pure list? I already own half those games on other consoles and Digital games aren't really an option for me because I don't make enough money to spend gorrilions dollars on a memory card.

Crumby?

Why don't we put it to the test?

Why would I want to boycott PQube when I am the one in this thread saying they have not lied or censored anything.

If anything, I motioned they originally made a mistake, but I was proven wrong by their like:
and this post:

Mistaken identity much? Don't you have Holla Forums to raid or Hillary to vote for?

WOW, do you have a citation to back such a claim?

How do either of those prove anything? There are numerous articles where PQube states nothing would be removed. Things were removed.

I don't think anyone here is saying the things removed were important in any way, but that's not important. It was an outright lie at worst and being intentionally deceitful at best.

I'm from _Perú_ so nope

I dont mind so much that they did it, just that they never fucking mentioned it at all. When they first said it was coming westward the words they used were:

So fuck them. Complete lack of transparency.

Rice havent shipped my shit yet so Ill be cancelling it and pirate it later if I care to play it at all.

One thing was removed. One minor thing was removed. I know it's not right that they lied about the game not being 100% uncensored but I feel we're blowing this shit WAY out of proportion especially when they haven't responded to this recent discovery yet.

Recent Developments: Autists gets so triggered by a nonissue they plan to pirate a game that'll do poorly in sale anyway

>Things were removed.
[Citation needed]
Omission of a detail is singular and not removal.
Which things? Only see 1 thing.
Forget mistakes! Localizing was a mistake!
This, above all, you need to cite, because this is exactly what you are doing.

Pues quien te enseño a opinar de un extraño con capa, tu madre tan puta?

When you localize, you can never leave anything intact.
As a matter of fact, nothing was changed, even in the source. Devil is in the details, so is God.

Yep, entitlement.

It's called overreacting. Part of the new standard: sensationalize everything, exaggerate all things, then profit.

Fucking this. Any more like , and you have in your hands a rationalized vindicate.

SPIC FIGHT!
Marica.
Ademas aprende usar tildes.

PQube fucked up by not at least mentioning they were removing ages, but it was almost certainly just to say "Fuck you" to retarded moralfag countries who now have no choice, but to see sexually mature adolescents.

Okay, I've given you the benefit of the doubt until now…

But you have to either be trolling, not understand English, or be literally mentally retarded.

omission
ə(ʊ)ˈmɪʃ(ə)n
noun
the action of excluding or leaving out someone or something.
synonyms: leaving out, exclusion, exception, non-inclusion, deletion, erasure, cut, excision, elimination, absence

censor
ˈsɛnsə
verb
examine (a book, film, etc.) officially and suppress unacceptable parts of it.
synonyms: cut, delete, delete parts of, redact, make cuts in, blue-pencil;

See the overlap there?

As a consumer I definitely am. They tell me what theyre selling and I decide based upon that. If they tell me their game will be "completely intact" and without "cutting or changing content" which influences my decision and later, without informing anybody, changing this then I have every right to change my decision.
Already did. Waiting for a response, but damage is done now.
Entitled to basic fucking information; yeah. God forbid I utilise my power as a consumer and vote with my wallet.

IIRC, PCube's parent company also owns another publishing house that butchers Japanese games.

When it comes to ages, I get why they had to do it.

But is the "mockery" as bad as you say it is?

It isn't really. Just spergs and autists overreacting to this shit. Like I get the reactions towards NISA considering the way they censor things but this? It's like shitting on someone who claimed to be a perfect driver then they accidentally run a red light later on.

That…is a horrible analogy.

It's more like someone selling you a car they say has never been touched, but when you get it there's a scratch on the door.

In the grand scheme of things, is a scratch on the door that bad? No. It doesn't impact how the car drives, it has only a minor aesthetic change, etc. But what you bought was not "a car that has been touched only once and has miniscule body damage." You bought "a car that has not been touched."

That's a horrible analogy too. You ordered a car from a weird country and in order to be able to drive it in your country you need to make some serious adjustments. One company says they will adjust your car perfectly but they put a tiny scratch in your door while doing so.
I would be more forgiving with my analogy then with yours.

Your analogy had no concept of a person buying a service or an item based on a claim which was untrue. Which is pretty important, as that's the entire problem.

I don't find the "they promised no censorship" argument persuasive because fundamentally it's better if companies use "no censorship" as a selling point and it's so minor.

They probably removed the ages for legal/ratings bullshit in various countries. They didn't even change them, you can look them up and have the same information as if it was in the game. I'd rather they do the absolute bare minimum to avoid issues like that while still holding to general anti-censorship principles.

But a scratch is a mistake, censorship is a policy decision. Other companies could refrain from censoring, they just decide not to because they'd rather chase some imagined normalfag audience or have the decision made by SJWs who aren't prioritizing sales at all. As customers we want to persuade companies to make the anti-censorship decision.

Let's say a car company sells an electric car, and additionally advertises "100% of the electricity to make it was made from renewable sources". And then it comes out it was actually only 99% because one part was made in a different plant for some regulatory reason. Is it more productive to complain because "they promised" or to focus on the other cars that are far worse?

I understand why it would annoy people that it's a "broken promise", but it just reminds me of how SJWs tend to be never satisfied until they piss everyone off. The important thing is they continue avoiding censorship or doing the absolute bare minimum like this, unlike how so many other localization companies have outright embraced censorship. I think them advertising their games as censorship-free is a good thing because it means they'll continue doing that.

Might be halfchan refugees, or even shills trying to start shit.

How better to continue the lie of japanese lewd games not selling then to try and spark up drama.

Hold on, are people really flipping their shit over two numbers no one gives a fuck about?

It was only "two numbers" in Bravely Default- and then the sequel changed a LOT more.

But I'm on your side. I agree with the principle, but right now the law means some shit can't be done.

I guess that's true…buying a foreign car, then. And a company promises to change the car so that the steering wheel is on the correct side for your region while not tampering with anything else. And then when you get the car, you find that they've removed the cassette deck.

Were you going to use the cassette deck? No, probably not. And you can just plug your MP3 player into the aux slot to listen to your songs anyway. But they tampered with something they promised not to.

That seem better?

So raíl on them for butchering the sequel, not over useless shit like character's ages on a Game about tits. Who the fuck plays these games and looks at ages? That's just fucking autism and being an asshole for the fuck of it. I don't give a shit if Mirai is 10 or 21, all I care is that she makes my dick hard.

Car analogies are fucking stupid is the fucking point.
You wouldn't download a car

The only reason I wouldn't download a car is because of the fucks at Comcast and their goddamned data caps.

But what would be better, that they are honest about being 99% clean and disclose that they make that one part due to regulations or that they claim 100% until they care caught lying. At that point trust is damaged and that is the actual problem. Yes, it is a minor issue to remove ages but they did not disclose that they did so or why they did so until after they were caught. Claiming slippery slope doesn't work because it has been shown time and again letting "small things" slide just leads to pushing more and more. People would be less offended if they didn't behave as if their audience was stupid and just said "Hey guys, we removed x from the release here's what it changes in the game we had to do because " and allow people to decide if they still wanted to buy the release.

Having a cassette deck would be a slightly more significant feature. It would more be the seats being slightly scuffed in a used car. Not a problem, unless there was a claim made that the car would be the same as new implying the seats wouldn't be scuffed.

You can get away with various levels of planning versatility, but some party compositions will be harder to maintain than others.

One way to save on grinding time is grinding solo or in pairs in certain areas. The Tree of Tvr is a favorite grind spot, as the first floor comes with several tile-triggered fights, it's not a huge map, and you can get to the exit fast to reset TP/HP.

I won't say what classes make the early game a cakewalk and which are difficult to maintain unless you want me to. I will advise you not to get too fixated on a skill build if it's not working out for you. But hey, take chances, get messy, make mistakes.

…is it really?

As I said before: it is not so much what they did as much as it is the fact they never told anyone about it.

This does nothing but set a precedent that they can and will change things without informing the consumer. I mean, how much effort would it have taken to put out even a single tweet to say something like "Oh yeah remember how SK had to remove the girls' ages? We have to do that too. Sorry."

But instead they left it in the dark and hole up when asked about it. How can I trust them that this is the only thing they've changed? Or when they put out another game saying that its uncensored and unaltered that it actually is?

Especially when you've got people, even on here, saying that what they did isn't technically censorship and muddying the waters to give them a way out.

Major feature implying it has a use. While most people may not use the cassette deck the people who bought the car and were told it had a cassette deck would actually be missing something while scuffed but still working seats would be a minor issue but still something that should be disclosed to a consumer.

No it wasn't, there were way more changes to that game than just ages.

He wandered in a month and a half or so back and won't go the fuck away. He WAS gone for a little while with the advent of Henkaku but apparently the pirate vita threads have slowed to a crawl, so he's back again.

The kicker in Bravely Default is that they censored a costume you couldn't even realistically get in the US version.

Because they wouldn't make a tweet like that at all in the first place because ages are a nonissue. Continue making a mountain out of a molehill.

When PQube explicitly stated that the game would be brought over "completely intact" and that changing the source material would defeat the entire purpose of localizing the game, then, yes, any change, no matter how minor, becomes fairly important to disclose.

"Completely intact" does not leave any room for wiggle.

This is the only evidence I can find of PQube shitting on people for the Valkyrie thing.

While I think it's all overblown, taking a side is pretty shitty. PQube should've just dropped a calm, measured PR statement.

They've also seem to have deleted a few tweets - I remember @pqubegames getting into a bit of a twitter pissfight a few hours ago that seems to have disappeared. Wish I archived it.

I already mentioned you:

Seriously, you know that image like

You could do a similar one with censorship

You mean this one?

twitter.com/PQubeGames/status/784404561557655552

That's the one linked earlier in the thread. It's still there. It's only one tweet, though, so I'd hardly call it a pissfight.

twitter.com/mroscartk

Also, this is the guy probably behind the official PQube account. He localized GalGun and probably did Valkyrie too. He thinks the kind of shit Treehouse did to Fates and TMS was okay, which makes everything weirder, seeing as GalGun was free of that kind of cancer.

Yep, that's the one. I can't see it on the timeline though. That's fucking weird. I'm not even logged in.

They could have just said nothing (and possibly censor the hell out of it), like lots of other companies do. I'd rather they say it, even if sometimes they don't live up to it perfectly for what I'm guessing are legal/ratings reasons outside of their control.

Or…OR…they COULD have just sent out a single tweet.

"Legal issues in some regions will force us to remove ages in Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkuni. We're sorry for having to go back on our promise."

That one tweet, or anything like it, would have solved almost every problem anyone has with the current situation. The only people it wouldn't satisfy are the absolute hardline anti-censorship group.

I'm one of the most vocal people in this thread and even I don't give half a shit about not being able to see how old the characters are. I completely understand that there are possible legal issues in some western European countries regarding sexual activities of fictional youths (fuck you, Europe). I'm not entirely unsympathetic to the issues in localization. I only care that I was promised X, I was EXPLICITLY promised X, and was not given X.

Don't forget to vote.

polls.cc/NT5aoT/
poal.me/uphll0

That would just be another lie.

You're given a fully functioning game with the tits still intact. Cry to me when they start doing actual fucking censorship and not this.

Actual censorship starts with minor details you retard.

This.

I think that some of the countries in western Europe actually have such vague and wide-reaching child pornography laws that they could apply to games with lightbeamed nudity and no actual sex.

If it's not financially feasible to create a different version for regions where such laws aren't a concern (and I realize that it may well not be), I would at least appreciate free DLC that adds it back in. It shouldn't be that difficult.

FE: Fates is fully functional. Nothing that was cut is essential to playing or beating the game. You going to defend that, too?

NISA and Nintendo didn't start out by removing full minigames from their localizations. They worked up to it while idiots like you defended the minor shit.

Precedence begins with one action. JUST one action. Excuse it now, but you damn-well better not bitch the instant they or others start reaching for more shit to alter/edit/omit.

The number of idiots going "WELL SENRAN KAGURA DID IT" is already disgusting.

if they haven't bragged about no censorship in their game there wouldn't be any controversy in the first place.

besides, I already bought Estival Versus, I don't need another one

You realize you're comparing PQube to Treehouse right?

Holy shit, this is getting extremely fucking obnoxious. They should have just said "cute and sexy girls fully intact".

If they come out and actually say they reluctantly removed ages just to give the finger to age laws, I want you exaggerating faggots to try and keep talking shit, so everyone else can slap it.

why the fuck not? same false advertisement, be it paying the original price for several strings gutted and paying the original price for entire character interaction systems removed and butchered dialogues

fates would need at least 5-10 bucks discounts for each game to make it fair

And I just fucking fucked up a fucking sage, gods fucking damn it.

It was literally undeniably done to bypass retarded consent laws. Shut the fuck up.

You are very blatantly spewing slippery slope fallacious bullshit for a reason that has nothing to do with socjus shit.

if there was something in the game that would require it to do it would already be an AO rated game therefore it wouldn't even matter

You're the faggot, defending censorship.

You mean the laws that only apply to real people having sex or porn?

Calling something fallacious as if that nullifies arguments is retarded. It is entirely likely, by looking at several localization companies historically, that this is EXACTLY how this sort of shit starts and what gets shit like Fates down the road.

Kill yourself.

You first.

UNDERRATED POST

People like you defended Bravely Default's censorship and cried slippery slope then, too. Later, BD2 comes out with even more censorship than ever before. You cried slippery slope then, too. I like to give people who disagree with me the benefit of the doubt usually, but you seem way too quick and enthusiastic to defend bullshit we've all seen a thousand times and know exactly where it leads.

we do for several years straight

Slippery slope fallacy, you fucking retard. Removing ages for legal reasons in other countries has absolutely nothing to do with being triggered by attractive fictional women or jiggle physics.

The developer explicitly markets absolutely everything else intact that socjus would get asshurt over and you're doomsaying just because they made one little mistake by omitting how old they are. As if anything more than that wouldn't get slammed and ridiculed for completely lying.

Both of you, please die.

Yeah okay dude this is the smartest post in the thread thanks

...

This IS an actual slippery slope, you complete fucking stubborn retard. Retard politics are one of the prime factors of censorship nowadays.

If anything more than that was removed or altered other than that from a game explicitly fanservice oriented as opposed to a regular RPG from SE, they'd never hear the end of it.

That's the concern here, you obnoxious fucking dumbass.

It isn't a fallacy, it has literally happened several times before. I'm not claiming being able to legally be a faggot means fucking dogs is coming up. I'm saying "This has literally happened before and it leads to the thing." Fallacy would imply I'm basing my claim on nothing. I am basing it on history.

I definitely did not defend Bravely Default's censorship and he probably didn't either. I'm defending this because I think there's legal or ratings related reasons to omit the ages and they did the absolute bare minimum rather than alter the game in any meaningful way. That's exactly what I think they should do if releasing it with those numbers would potentially cause issues. The main focus of the complaints is "they promised not to censor", but I'd rather a company promise not to censor and then have to remove a couple numbers rather than a company that doesn't promise not to censor at all.

Yes it is, moron. Did you not just read my fucking post? The part where I said anything more that screams feminazi or tumblr involvement would be shitposted and meme'd mercilessly as we speak?

Obviously not.

Stop being civil when the opposition refuses to think rationally.

And as I've said, I am fine if they realize they need to remove something like ages for possible legal reasons.

But if they have previously promised customers that the game would be COMPLETELY INTACT, they need to tell those same customers that they have to go back on that promise by necessity.

Realizing you've made a mistake and can't live up to what you've promised is fine. But you need to let the people you've promised know.

I've been pointing this out the entire time. Until PQube explicitly releases an official statement saying that's only reason they did it, then they're guilty of being dishonest, but all this shit about thinking it's just going to get worse and worse until everything is pozzed to oblivion like #FE when the target audience that wants uncensored tits and ass is the only they have is just retarded and worthy or ridicule.

They're just being obnoxious faggots and if they're going to be? Fight fire with fire before any Holla Forumstards call me a hypocrite.

Cite them. Aside of the ones in Germany where the game is not being sold and also in Austrailia where the game is not being sold. Further, I'd like PQube's own words on this matter aside of them chuckling along with nut swallowers such as yourself flying off the handle when people reveal they're not on-board with being lied to about contents of a game being edited, and done so without any notice whatsoever.

This is probably the best possible outcome, the last thing we want is something like the new Star Ocean or Street Fighter where they precensor it because they want to sell it to foreigners.

Pretty sure the concern is censorship regardless of source.

So now you're projecting just because I lost my patience with faggots believing this spells doom for them when they can't afford to do triggered shit to their only market for these games.

But Treehouse has always been bad with localization and have gotten worse. PQube afaik has been pretty alright with theirs. It seems like this one little thing is the biggest tipping point for you when I'm just waiting for a "my bad" response or something from them. Like I said before too, XSEED did this before with Senran Kagura. Have they doubled down on their censorship since then? No? Then why would PQube? If they for some reason do, then stop supporting them.

The only fucking concern here is the reasons for censorship.

You are a human being with your own free will and common sense to think what other human beings who made the decision to remove ages. Don't think such black and white bullshit like these faggots. Even I'm not that cynical.

...

XSEED hasn't gotten worse, but neither have they gotten better. IFI is the one company to have changed for the better, and even that is debatable with this new Neptunia game.

Every other localization company either started out unacceptable or fairly quickly degraded to that point. And I don't doubt that eventually XSEED will do the same.

Need I add, this is a game about bouncing busty idealized lesbians pleasuring each other to turn each other into weapons to destroy each other's clothes.

Of all things any cancer in PQube could have tampered with, it just got how old the girls were removed. It can't do shit when it would just destroy their sales for any games that would trigger them.

But the faggots in this thread have been stubborn and condescending the entire time. They're just getting that exact same attitude back and even more disrespect.

Reminder that Tom never got them to put the ages back into Senran Kagura, meaning his opinion is in the minority there. He may even be the only one there who is actually anti-censorship.

Well in the event any of these companies fall that far, vote with your wallet and don't support them. Something like this is hardly anything, give me a call when they start removing CG or removing gameplay elements in fear of Ao ratings or some shit.

or

Yeah.

Yeah, I see your point. The first one is definitely the better option.

It'll be too late by then, moron.

fuck off

That's why you don't waste time with civility.

This is wrong, though. He'll still buy the game and say "It doesn't affect me, so I'm buying it anyway."

Clearly

You're right. I apologize.

You instead actively defend it.

It's cancer like you that's killing this thread. Kill yourself

This is why I'm not wasting my time being remotely polite. Step up your insults against these insufferable cunts.

Defending PQube.

Defending PQube.

Defending PQube.

Defending PQube. Or maybe you'd like to explain that, somehow, none of those are actually defending PQube?

Also, the two of you really are quite telling. You feel I misrepresent your argument a single time and immediately jump to "fag," "cancer," "kill yourself," etc.

I don't even give a shit about the insults. Anyone who actually gets angry about an internet argument is straight pathetic. But pretending you're the civil ones here is laughable. You're both being petulant children.

I don't defend them in either of those quotes. I just say it's retarded to flip our shits over something like this especially if that's the only thing they did. I also love how you interpret the second one as me defending PQube when I say that it's not right they lied about it. Did you read any of them or is that too hard for you? You are not gonna listen to any of our argument since you immediately default any of arguments to Defending PQube. So once again, go kill yourself faggot.

You mean "any?" There are 4 quotes. Am I to assume you admit to defending them in 2 of them?

How is this not a defense? "It's not as bad as it could be" is defending what they've done. "If they get worse I'll call them out, but they're only THIS bad so let's not do that to them."

Yes. You say it's not right they lied about it. But also that we're blowing it out of proportion. "Cool down, guys, you're being too mean to them. Lay off."

But that's not defending them at all. No. To be fair, that is definitely the more reasonable defense. I'd be more than happy to let them explain why they did it, but they don't seem to be very forthcoming with that information.

I did listen to your arguments. And we agreed on one thing: PQube was wrong to mislead customers. But you seem to think that it's fine for them to do that as long as they don't get worse and continue localizing games with most content intact in the future, while I think that they should let people know when they've made a promise and can no longer keep it. Do correct me if you think I've misrepresented you again.

You're taking an awful lot of umbrage when I point out that you're defending them. You are literally, by definition, defending them. I really don't see why you're so insulted over it.

You're still missing the point that if it's censored at all, there's no point to settling for that when you could just get the real game, which is what people should be doing. Censorship deserves only scorn.

That might explain why it has shit downgraded ports like minecraft and terraria as well as multiplats like Dragon's Crown on it, and general low quality shite like Tales of Hearts R and doesn't even properly label them. while also not including games like Ragerock Odyssey. It's just a fuckhuge mess.

It really is that simple. Some issues are black and white, and censorship vs. free speech is one of them.

Oh shut the fuck up

SK removes ages

They don't want child porn laws Eurocucks got in their asses

I see you troll

It's not that I'm defending them, it's more that I don't care due to how small and insignificant it is. I'm more surprised by how much people are flipping over this like the game is missing CG or some other shit. I get it though, PQube made a promise that they didn't 100% keep it so they need to own up to it. I'm waiting to hear what they say before I full blast on them. At the moment, I'm willing to let this slide since I consider it to be so small of an omission that it's not worth getting upset over. If they say changed the ages then I'd be more angry over that than them simply not including it in the game.

So once again, I'm not defending but more waiting on their response on all this before condemning them. Got a problem with what they did, let them know about it.

Then don't bother with Europe. The only way their citizens will get around to fixing their laws is if it causes them trouble.

Do Im pretty sure they don't even care for the game or even brought SK games which remove ages

No.

Holy shit lol

Now I know you're some kind of troll

yes like Video games being b& will change laws didn't work for ausfailia

No. Hopefully cause some fatal seizures or heart attacks with its very presence.

Yeah. And you think I was unfairly misrepresenting arguments and being uncivil. There's only so much straw you can stuff in that strawman.

Pretty sure that when he said, "there's no point to settling for that when you could just get the real game" he meant get the real game as in have it localized without any censorship. If I'm wrong I guess he can chime in and correct me.

Much more civil. Now you can claim the moral high ground if you want, especially as I personally find mudslinging and fighting dirty much more palatable. Although I do want to reiterate that, again, I'm not angry over the omission, I'm angry about the radio silence both before and since. I honestly can't tell from that which you think I'm salty about.

No, I'm telling you point-blank to back your words. Right now, to what I see, PQube hasn't said one thing about this age omission issue, yet here we have you sperging like an ass about people who have a valid concern about what this omission may mean for current & future projects. You want to make excuses for them? I'll be willing to hear it:

Cite the legal issues. You don't have Germany to rely on, you don't have Australia to rely on. Cite the remaining legal issues that would make age a problem. Do that and I'll read them and judge about PQube's action then.

Or PQube will actually make a statement and we'll get the story out of them. I need one or the other. Your bitching's irrelevant, otherwise.

More of your black and white faggotry again. I said to fucking think for yourselves about why everything else would remain intact, but a tiny number in character profile would get removed when it doesn't change them being adolescents.

You pieces of shit accused all of us of being censorship apologists even when the content left intact strongly suggests this had nothing to do with "muh soggy knees". Go to Hell. I already said I was going to shamelessly being as much of an obnoxious faggot as any of you if I had to.

Kill yourself, you filthy hypocrite.

Canada

But why are you pissed off about them being silent about leaving out character ages of all things? I can understand it if it were the girls being covered up more before you end up ripping them off, but this? Nah nigga. It makes no bloody sane sense in any form. You get the same game regardless whether or not the ages are there. You get the same experience. Is it that much of a problem that you have to declare a state of hostility towards them for such a nonissue? Come back when they actually start doing some actual censorship and then complain all you want. Shitting up this thread with kneejerk reactions to this and saying "well MAYBE they'll go further with their next gaaaaaaame and do way more bullshiiiiit" with the only backing you have being what other shittier companies have done and not this one doesn't give you a leg to stand on. I understand your views, but you and everyone else going full blast on a nonissue makes no sense and is extremely laughable. Take your tinfoil off.

I guess you got nothin' then.

That's exactly what you are.

You wanna shitpost? Fine. I'll do it too.

I'm waiting. Defend your stance or sit and be a faggot.

Currently has Shinovi Versus ready & available to them regardless. I believe that ordinance was less about 'age' and more on 'appearance', in which case Mirai's very existence would be a red flag. So would Etna's and Flonne's. So on and so forth.

Also, Criminal Girls is still on sale there, last I looked.

they removed the ages you moron

amazon.ca/Dance-Vampire-Bund-Complete-V-E/dp/B012C8773U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475887230&sr=8-2&keywords=vampire bund

Because of their exact words. "Completely intact."

I have already said in the thread, several times, that I personally don't have problems with them removing the ages. There are shitholes where the game might be officially sold where explicitly underage characters in these situations can land them in hot water. They want to remove the ages, then fine.

But it goes counter to how they originally pitched the localization to websites. Completely intact. I know ages are very, very, very small things to be angry about (which is why I'm not angry over the age omissions). I've also admitted that in the thread. I honestly wouldn't care if the ages hadn't been included if they hadn't already said that absolutely nothing would be excluded.

It's the broken promise that angers me, when they obviously knew beforehand they'd have to go back on it. Plenty of websites reported on those exact words and people bought into it. And the longer it goes after the discovery of the change before they apologize or explain themselves (or offer a patch to those NOT in shithole countries who can't tell the difference between real children and fictional ones) the less faith I'm going to have in them to do the right thing in the future. Right now, I just have to assume that everything they promise in the future will have an invisible asterisk after it.

Completely uncensored*
*except for minor changes we feel are necessary, but we won't tell you about those

Someone pointed out that DoA might technically violate Swedish law as a way to illustrate how absurd the law was. As a result the distributor dropped it and it wasn't sold in 3 countries.

Note they didn't explicitly say why, probably because saying "child porn" is bad PR. That might be the same reason PQube didn't mention dropping the ages.

canada is very much about age. as long as you go "trust me bro its a 1000 year old dragon" its *okay
unless you have some huge stockpile and find yourself in court because it somehow, then its right up in the fucking air and can go either way

I don't need any source because I have fucking common sense and can think for myself about what would lead someone to censor something rather than getting so tightassed about it and insulting everyone who disagrees with you like the condescending smartass faggot you are as well.

Their entire pitch and marketing is about how sexy and full of lesbians the game is. How do you know they didn't just consider the ages an irrelevant inconvenience to selling it in some places and purposely made it ambiguous so only retarded moralfags can bitch?

I don't give a damn if this is going into "what if"s, so I will irritably say this once more. Think for yourself as a fucking human being "Why would they remove something otherwise so insignificant to anyone else while leaving gameplay, content and overall theme intact?"

Enséñeme donde de mierda cual no diste. Iluminarme.

hey guys, ID:73425e fuck up because he forgot to mention his age.

Your name is Anonymous, or is it something else? I think you omitted your age and name because

I think you are overreacting, no?

the closest thing: cut|make cuts in
And that's a negative. Mind including me your source for reference?
Great you feel that way. How is that illegal piracy going? Is that how a consumer should behave?
Great you are cancelling then, saved you money and grace. Piracy?
They didn't say that
They didn't.
It influnces you.
Do they have to? Are you not getting why the game is not made for you yet?
None is taking that from you. NOW, if P-Cube was taken that right from you, THAT'S CENSORSHIP.
Your country given right, none taken. Any more feels?

I'll use your car analogy:
You bought a Japanese car with Japanese controls.
The localizer didn't place in the birthdate of the car. Return it if you want, don't overreact to the entire dealership and everyone around town, capicé?

Based Tyrone

Exactly

There's a delete function, use it.

I don't get people like you that think you are entitled to every communication in-house. Try localizing, making mistakes, and responding to criticism.

Great projection there. I love it.

If you were to represent yourself, you would lose 'cause of the details missed.

Neat, now I have 2 polls, and fanfiction!

Like your promised 64bit game that was only 16bit?

Hey guys this guy is precedent to not buy a game he didn't localize.

You are false advertising censorship instead of omission. Now I am paying 0$ to read your spaghetti.

[citation needed]

now it got to ad hominems.

Counter-question: if they knew they'd have to change the ages or omit them entirely to avoid legal repercussions, why say that they won't change anything?

Think for yourself as a human being.

It's to trick people into paying for a game they otherwise wouldn't have bought. Doesn't really take that much thought, actually.

oh.. regreso torfaggot.. yay!

Because people would fucking overreact. I get that's why they wouldn't say it as my as I hate them being disingenuous like that.

Even so, if something like that was the only thing they cared to even mess with while everything else is fine, I see absolutely no problem other than someone on Shitter being a bit of an ass and retarded age laws that need changed when there's absolutely nothing wrong with being physically attracted to teenagers, let alone cartoons from a fantasy Japan.

Then why the fuck don't you stop with all the shit talking about anyone saying their only mistake was being not entirely truthful or that they couldn't humbly admit it and then I will as well?

Just because we were saying this isn't alarming considering everything else about the kind of game this is that's been marketed as exactly that we get called no better than Nintendrone goons. That's when you faggots deserve insults.

I think maybe you're mixing up the timeline here.

Bhikkuni is not PQube's first game. Not by far. They would certainly have known well ahead of time that some territories are iffy about fictional underage characters in certain situations.

So the only proper way this goes down is:
1) PQube knows that they can't release a game with fictional underage characters in territories X, Y, and Z, so they'll have to either remove or edit ages to release there
2) PQube, knowing 1, tells several online publications that the game will be completely intact and uncensored
3) PQube censors the game

Now, I had thought that PQube would simply not release the game in territories X, Y, and Z. In that case, they could, in fact, release a completely uncensored game, and keep their promise.

However, that was apparently not their plan. If they removed the ages, it was either to appease their own moralities or to release in those territories, and, in either case, they would have known well ahead of time that censorship would be occurring.

The only logical explanation, under these circumstances, is a premeditated, calculated lie, specifically designed to increase interest in their title and therefore their profits.

Which is wrong and made me lose respect, but doesn't mean they can only get worse both in ethics and politics or that people saying removing ages are the same as cucks who use "pay tree ar key" or "objectifying" unironically. I don't see anyone else who thinks the simple little fact of this shit is stupid that didn't insult censorship in general.

*saying that removing ages doesn't matter

I don't know why I keep making typos, by it's pissing me ofbut

you are slipping derailment.

They don't need tell you they omitted the age of the characters while localizing. In fact, the game IS COMPLETELY INTACT. Try playing it without any words, dubs or text. IT IS INTACT, YOU ARE JUST NOT GOOD IN DETAILS.

They are guilty of staying silent. You are making it worse and worse until everything is pozzed to oblivion like this thread.

I have the free will and common sense to think that p-cube omitted ages of a character profile. Reason unknown at the present time, but nothing that denotes signs of censorship. IF YOU DO HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW, SHOW IT.

Then get better and self-localize your games, none are stopping you, either form refunding the game.

More projections, more profit! Yesh, so many delusional posters.

Yep. I wanted to fix a list for 8ch, but I've been too busy, and OP as well. If you know how to use git, here's the repo:
>Gitgud Group: gitgud.io/groups/InfinityVita
Right now, we are making the list in HTML, to save bandwidth and be more portable-accessible than a deteriorating image. Plus, since it's a repo, making commits are changes would be faster and easier, than waiting on one organizer to do it all, and depend on them.

Show where game content was censored. Devil in the details man. Localized material is not game content.

5 people versus everyone else. You are hardly anyone than spergs.

There no illegality here.

Yes, the game, as is, is completely intact. Localization not so much. Care to fix it?

The issue is that these spergs believe they are entitled to feedback, esp. to omission of detail not touching the game.

By now, you should know there's no such thing as common sense, esp. in law.
If you consider what p-cube did as censorship, fix it.
Why would p-cube take their time to address spergs that ages were omitted in character profiles when the game is intact? Do you not have "common sense"?

It shouldn't make you lose respect, it should lead you to lose trust entirely.

If that IS the chain of events, they explicitly lied, with full knowledge of their lie, to publications and, more importantly, their own potential customers. I'm not going to pretend I'm a lawyer, but even if that ISN'T legally false advertising it shows that they're willing to throw customers under the bus to increase their bottom line.

A company who does that and shows absolutely no remorse over it is not, in any way, shape, or form, deserving of your business.

Because they didn't change anything, only omitted a detail during localization. You are assuming their motivation for the omission is legal repercussions, which if you are knowledgeable, you would know it's a non-issue.

Comí y regrese. Y tu, concluiste tu dilema moral de un vídeo juego?

Theories, now I eat popcorn while people play mental gymnastics.

Manga Comics classified as child porn

Yaoi is a genre of manganese which portrays men who have sex which is aimed primarily at women. Lolicon said to have evolved in response to yaoin during the late 80's.

Series Drawings of the young who have sex falls under the law on child pornography, which has just been tightened. Where the line is unclear, and researchers believe that the possession of drawings should be tried in the Supreme Court.

Recently sentenced a man for possession of child pornography in Uppsala District Court. He had 51 cartoon images of the Japanese style manga on its hard drive.
Since 1999 it is illegal to possess child pornography in Sweden. Now the law has been tightened further, and July 1, it was also forbidden to look at child porn. But no need to worry about accidentally surf to a page with pictures of naked children.

- You can not be folded if you accidentally end up there, says Axel Peterson, Deputy Director of the Criminal Legal Unit at justice department. It requires that you have an intent. If for example you have paid to have to look at a picture or been inside several times and looked.
Animated images have been the subject of child porn law since 1980. There, Sweden differs from most other countries in Europe. Eneman, a researcher at the Department of Applied Information Technology at the University of Gothenburg and the research on child porn and IT, says that it is a problematic interpretation of Swedish law.
- It says that the law regards it as depicting children in pornographic pictures. If that applies virtual images, where there is no victim, has not been tested at the highest court yet.
According Eneman is no support in psychological research to those who consume virtual barnpronografiska images would commit pornographic abuse of children.
If the image has an artistic value it is not covered by the child porn law.

Glad you lost trust entirely on game because a localizer omitted something in their work. Everyone else doesn't really mind. Care to respect back the vita general in 8ch?
The explicitly said nothing
Oh cite me where.
We knew this instantly
And do tell, what gives thee such an impression? A like and a response on twitter?
Now companies have feelings. You read it here folks! A company can feel, and should respond to criticism with remorse!

How is it?
- It is not easy to determine, says Axel Peterson. Such can not describe it in penalty provisions.
The judgment against the man in Uppsala, says that artistic freedom only applies to "the person who paints".
- Then it had been covered by the exemption for artisanal images. But the exception does not apply as soon as the picture can be spread, as from a computer.
What is porn?
- The image must to be sexually arousing. Different people instigated naturligtsvis of different things, but the purpose should be to excite sexually.
Autobiographical comics that tell of exploitation in childhood or rape is not a man can be judged to have on their computer.
Sweden has a very tough laws on child pornography.
- I can not say if we have the most extensive in Europe, but we are far ahead. Even collages covered in Sweden.
Should not revise this law now that many artists use the computer and when websites often serve as galleries?
- It is a relevant and reasonable question. But the Internet and the new technology has also made it easier and cheaper to produce and distribute child pornography.
The Japanese manga series and its subgenres have in recent years become immensely popular in Sweden. These include "Lolicon" where children under eighteen are produced suggestive of sexual fantasy.
Have not thought about cartoon images will not be covered by the child porn law?
- No. I can not remember that someone suggested it, says Axel Peterson. There is a huge consensus in Sweden on these issues. When barnporrnografi discussed it is more about to close loopholes and strengthen the law.
The man in Uppsala has now appealed to the Court of Appeal.
- I think it is important to state that this judgment is tested in a higher court, says Eneman. We must think about what it is we are doing. Are we trying to criminalize thoughts?
Tove Leffler

Based on what I posted, the laws are already at risk if Marvelous or any distributor in Europe publish Senran Kagura there, as all it will take is Mirai's presence alone to trigger an arrest and trial.

So the question lies: Is Senran Kagura sold in Sweden? If so, your stance is false.

And you're a faggot that doesn't understand one of the oldest known facts in the world: common sense is not "common".

So all that's left aside of chuckling at your silly ass is waiting for PQube to either fan or douse this small fire.

I'm not going to lose absolutely all trust in them because of this detail, only become suspicious of who exactly is apart of them because for them to even work on this game and do nothing else but remove ages requires basically everyone to support games like it.

1). There would have to be some kind of rat that needs to be identified and purged before they do damage to future localizations.
2). They made an honest mistake by thinking no one would care about such a tiny detail and whoever was in charge of their Shitter account at the time fucked up by apparently insulting customers.
3). Some people in PQube are completely unaware this even happened.

I want an official human and relatable, but not completely unprofessional statement from them about why they removed ages when they officially said it would be completely unedited. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and believing it was something that could be a headache that they believed was completely irrelevant and the audience only cared how sexy everything else was.

I am if they don't properly respond to it. So far it's not looking good for them, since the only acknowledgement they gave is liking a tweet that basically said "who cares?", and then pretending they din do nuffin.

Hay dios mio! No tienes ningún modelo, atrevido! Usando los recursos de la compañía para postar en un foro de imágenes sin pedirle permiso ha su empleador!
Me acurda ha una persona trabajando en Atlus quien piensa la cuenta de twitter es su plataforma de propagar su agenda política!

So Sweden is still a crazy place that thinks fictional 15+ characters kissing and undressing is child porn, when there's no pornography in game. OK!
Imagine being Swedish, and think a 17 year old star or car is sexually arousing, thus that image is illegal.

THANK YOU.

That shithole needs to be nuked.

It's not looking good on you making a mountain hill over one 10 grains of salt.

None are pretending omission is deliberate. But how you are taking it is.

My understanding is that XSEED removes ages from Senran Kagura exactly like PQube did here. They've even been used as an example in this thread.

Keep in mind there's a big difference in a law being a risk and that law actually being enforced. No company wants to take a risk like that, even if enforcement is inconsistent.

At the end of the day, they are the ones running a business. It's not my reputation that matters, it's theirs.

HECK, ACCORDING TO SWEDISH LAW, IF ANYONE HERE IS SEXUALLY ATTRACTED TO THE SITE AND BOARD, IT'S ILLEGAL: THIS BOARD, SITE, AND COMMUNITY IS NOT EVEN 18!

Honestly, we can play theory games all we want. It won't solve the problem at hand.

The game needs a patch, let's fix it!
The dump is editable, correct? We only need to search ASCII text in binary, correct?
Let's show them what HENKaku fans can do!

You aren't running a boycott here, so shoo. Your reputation is nil.

Based on the…let's call it mediocre…translation of that Swedish article, Mirai's presence, even sans age, would be problematic in Sweden.

Lolicon hentai very rarely outright states ages. The man mentioned only had 51 images; that's either 2 decently-sized comics or a collection of random images. In the former case ages are rarely mentioned (the Japanese themselves actually tend to censor ages in lolicon manga, using "XX Schooler" or "In grade XX" a lot of the times), and in the latter case almost never mentioned, since single images usually don't have any dialogue where age could even be stated.

So, presumably, he was charged for the girls merely looking underage, not necessarily being underage.

Time to Henkaku the shit out of nepzombies and fix things. I can feel there will be more shitty dialog to retranslate.

I'm calling it, this thread is fucked.
post senrans

Very probably, having done minimal comparison. Thank Team Molecule for the kernel exploit, and MADEINCHINA for their dump tool.

Indeed, TORanon.
I gotta agree with your previous statements of 'Fix it'. I'm pretty sure that the resource files will be unpackable with readily available tools so script editing should be a snap. The Rebirth games were already fixed so it's just another one for the list.

As for VD it'll probably be the same thing… unless it comes out with 3.61 as a minimum version.

I like your idea. Reminds me I need to pick back up Estival, it's been ages since I've played it.

You're free to go dig for that post in the XSEED forums. Or ask Tom directly—he'll give you the full story no problems.

...

Projections are that way >>>/4chan/

I'll just post VD girls since this debate has nothing to do with those of us that know moon and thus import any Japanese game.

What games are you guys even looking forward to? All I can think of is Sword Art Online Hollow Realization. Haven't touched the first 2 games but I like the look of this one. Don't mind MMO combat since it actually look bad. Seems to have a lot of customization too. I really hope it turns out well.

There's not nearly as much VD art though

But it's the exact same game regardless of whether you import a Jap version or not.

...

...

SAO Hollow Realization, Valkyrie Drive, Yakuza 0 never played a Yakuza game before, so I'm looking forward to it., Fate/Extella, Root Letter, Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, Owlboy, and Steins;Gate 0.

Reminds me when I first imported the game. It was pure garbage without the patches. Mechanics were missing, horribly buggy, and it was just a mess in so many ways. Like you couldn't even chain chase attacks and could go into your final drive at the very start of the game.

I really wish devs on both sides of the Pacific would cut this shit out. I had to wait half an hour for patches before I could play the game because I had heard about how badly the patch was needed. I miss when consoles didn't even have the capacity to patch games so that devs had to release products that had undergone some quality testing.

Here's are facts that won't be argued:

PQube stated the game would have no censorship. So far nothing seems to be outright censored but time will tell.

PQube did not tell anyone they would remove the character ages from the VD game. They did. It is regrettable. Whether you consider this an act of censorship or not seems to depend entirely on your viewpoint on content integrity:

There are anons in this thread who think playing Vita games in anything but the original Japanese is a travesty as since the original language is lost so too are the original thoughts and themes on the player, essentially a form of censorship since it is no longer in its original state and would be changed to suit a new audience, even if in language alone. There are anons in this thread who have no problems with games such as Criminal Girls 1 and 2 being released as they are in English speaking countries despite the obvious changes done during translation. There are anons between these two points.

As for my own opinion, as I stated, I am sad they didn't mention the age removal, and of course the ages were removed on purpose, but it's a small nearly inconsequential change that won't affect my thoughts about the game itself since I know the characters' ages and I don't need the game to tell me. It's ok for other anons to feel differently. How often do we change the minds of others by yelling profanity at them on an imageboard? Focus on the reality and on what you're willing to accept. Accept that others have different tolerances for things you may have little.

Let's get our cool back Vita gen. Like before piracy was a thing. Those were comfy, heady days.

Atelier.

new thread is ready to go, whenever this one hits past bump limit and gets to page 5 or 6.

That's about where I fall honestly.

I had a hunch that was the reason; especially with how retarded EU laws are about things. Makes sense, and like I said, a simple little omission like this doesn't bug me in the least. Everything else, gamplay and story-wise, is still in-tact. That's what matters the most (that, and leaving the costumes/underwear unaltered as well).

Atelier

I guess when bringing fan service games over to the west you basically have to not include ages now.

And there's the slippery slope. What should be considered unacceptable is now becoming normal.

It's 5am in britbong. They must've been chewing over that response for hours.

It's shitty, but the reality you want to live in is separate from the one we actually do. Document it and move on with your life. If they do start sliding further in the future you have proof and can warn others.

Atelier is only part comfy. That time limit caused anxiety I haven't had since I worked retail.

The western release has all those patches built in, so much so that they ran out of room on the cart and had to heavily compress the audio. There's a free DLC with higher quality audio.

I can definitely agree that PQube should have been more upfront about this earlier, but it doesn't drastically remove anything from the game (1 line of text at most).

When they start removing content or drastically changing character designs/personalities, feel free to be outraged. You guys only vindicate the censorship-apologists when you outrage over things like this.

Atelier as the comfiest. Trails probably being the best thing there overall.

Speaking of which, how are the newer games for the Vita? Are the PS4 versions dramatically better? Lately I've been ignoring vidya and something comfy might get me back into it.

with all the other stuff that was happening at the time, Xseed managing to bring senran kagura burst over with everything intact with the sole exception of ingame ages i feel was a great victory.

For now im content with the status quo until the overton window shifts enough to really push for 100% intact animu fanservice games.

Why couldn't they just fucking say it then?

Guess Rorona it is, thanks all

Because "localization" by definition is a sleazy business where underhanded deeds are rewarded with greater payouts.

Impregnate.

And lose all those pre-orders they got from pretending to be anti-censorship?

Here is this bullshit fear mongering lies again. Tom said there would've been no problem if they left ages intact. Infact they left the ages on Manuel so technically the left the ages of characters. The producer was sjw and threatened to quit if the left the ages. There is clearly no problem but some of you are shills who are for the censorship.

So why didn't they just keep going and let the producer quit?

I think companies are really reluctant to say anything resembling "we sell child pornography (under some retarded laws)". It's seems really easy for that to become a shitstorm literally millions of times worse than a handful of annoyed people on an imageboard. Too many people would ignore the part in parentheses if it ever became a news story.

Notice how even in their statement to Techraptor/Censored Gaming they still don't actually explicitly say what the issue is. They leave it just vague enough that people familiar with the issues can figure out what they mean. Maybe something else like ratings is a big part of it too, but I bet the main thing is cp laws in some countries.

It was enough of a concern that Tecmo/Nintendo/Bergsala pulled DoA: Dimensions from Sweden (and a couple other countries with the same distributor) last-minute. Probably the law isn't entirely clear but a lot of companies don't want to take the risk for understandable reasons.

You're full of shit. All they had to do was say they were removing ages from the start and any retards trying to make everyone think it's not worth bothering with for something that little would have been shitposted into shutting the hell up long before release. Their only wrong was not including this information when they announced they'd be handling it.

new thread here lads

Not how it went. One more time, ask the man before giving what is obviously telephon'd information.
