TF2 certainly has its loyal fanbase and all, I stopped playing it because it was almost as frustrating as OW's competitive mode, I still can't imagine how CTF would work considering most heroes have some kind of mobility skill that could render them unstoppable in that mode.

I have made some interesting comebacks in attack as Widow, but didn't pick her from the start, we had a hopeless 5v6 in Anubis and we even managed to capture the first point, maybe the other team dropped the ball because I got tons of headshots that time.

I played a round where I went D.Va and got ripped apart, looked at the enemy's team and saw they had no one with long range or barriers. I switched to Widow and then carried the game.

You know what would be funny? If when a player has an exceptionally high objective time on payload maps the play of the game becomes them pushing the cart all the way across the map on fast forward.

I though objective kills were supposed to have more value because of the assumption that the player would have to be pushing, or trying to push the payload while getting them. But it doesn't seem like that.

As usual the system is broken, Blizzard tried too hard to make the game so "flashy" in certain parts yet they fail at the most basic level, PotGs are currently very glitchy and 10 seconds sometimes makes the play seem rather incomplete, the slowmo "nobody moves" finish makes that worse, not to mention it completely takes away something as simple as allowing players to emote at the end (you get completely reset in the middle of any action you perform), there are no dynamic angles which make turret and assist kills completely mediocre.

And this should play in the background.

Bastion can be great, but most people don't really understand that he's supposed to be more mobile picking off 1-2 people then moving to another position, rather than taking up half the team commandeering a Mercy and a Reinhardt to make a minibunker that'll get shattered in about a minute and leave the enemy team free to take the objective.

It's a fine line between playing a shit bastion and a decent bastion because it's too easy to get caught up in the mentality of just sitting in one spot and being a turret over thinking about placement or flanking opportunities.

But i'm thinking more in the realm of payload maps or wide open koth maps like Sanctum in Nepal where Bastion is viable due to easy los opportunities.
Bastion in Lijiang is shit unless it's control centre where I'd rather have a soldier for the group heal and superior manoeuvrability anyway.

CTF would be interesting as it, depending on map layout, could create it's own meta focused on flankers and skirmishes, never full on teamfights.

Payload/KOTH Hybrid… either team A strats with a payload and a medium distance, once it's on the point they need to control said point while the dildo on the payload charges.
Overwall match timer applies and the dildo doesn't charge without team A controlling it.

Or you go the other way and have a locked point, two payloads with a small distance and you need to get your payload in to control the point. Naturally, it drives out again if you don't.

Earlier in comp we had an ATK torb for Illios, fair enough, I gave him the benefit of the doubt… no armor packs, turret kept dying, he kept putting them in the same place, once we lost the first round he proceeded to tell us how we sucked, that we should get out of ranked and all that, then he proceeded to drop the match by going Symm on attack and still not giving shields or anything except a teleport that by pure miracle wasn't a dead gate.

I reported him, but he kept using the public chat telling the other team that he couldn't allow us to win because we should stay away from ranked, then we lost and he kept telling us to not play in competitive again, etc.

I guess, in any case I am like 5 victories away from my golden weapon, my SR is 1630 and going lower, the lower I go the harder it is to have competent teammates even when I use the microphone, people actually think I am annoying for trying to coordinate at this level.

Next season I will just play my placement matches and play with whoever wants me to help them to slightly increase their group average.

Competitive rankings should reflect individual skill rather than how good or shitty of a team you were placed on.

Shitters can get carried by good teams and rank high meanwhile genuinely good players can be put on bad team after bad team and rank poorly.

But competitive reflects individual skill. For example a good dps player will climb up faster or fall slower than a bad dps, althoug they win or lose the exact same amount of matches.

Edgelord can also be sneaky, if the enemy team is below some platfom get to there with shadow step and use your ult as you fall down to give them little to no chance to counter.
Defend your supports if you see them being harassed.
