We're not that far from another shitty Blizzcon

Welp, Blizzcon is around the corner. Besides some possible Diablo stuff and maybe some post-Metzen Legion there's…nothing to be really excited about (unless you like SocialJusticeWatch and Hearthstone).

It is interesting knowing they didn't announce this year's host and closing band after knowing about the backlash they got for using Wil Wheaton and Linkin Park last year (some people actually refused to check out Blizzcon because of Wheaton). Maybe MMO Champion might have info on the host and band, but I refuse to go to that site.

I'm not looking forward to the Diablo panel especially knowing how Blizzard did little or nothing with Diablo this year at other events like Gamescon. Post-Metzen should be interesting…to see how much of a bigger fuck up it will be without Metzen and his shit writing.

I wonder what they'll do with Heroes of the Shitstorm, since they don't even ackowledge it in their business reports?

I wonder what they can do to fix D3 endgame. I dont mind the story and core gameplay is fine but when you get to the point where you do endless greater rifts it gets really boring. Also WC4 when?

I'm only interested in classic WoW servers but I'm not holding my breath. It'll probably be nothing but Hearthstone and Overwatch.

what else can there be

Any news on wow subscription numbers or do they eat those printouts to prevent anyone from finding out?

?

I don't think they'll ever do it, simply because it'd be an official easy to see contrast between the wow of today compared to the wow of vanilla. I've played on Nos and can outright say it was better than current iteration wow, or at least anything around cata time or after.

I don't know what Blizzard would do if the majority of their customers end up using vanilla and ignoring the new expansions. Unless they make a full alternate timeline from classic again. I doubt they would though.

I refuse to believe it was a significant number, unfortunately wil wheaton is the nerdy z-list celeb that all the normalfags love and everyone knows that only normalfags still care about Blizzard

Rumor has it that they're giving wc2 the aoe II treatment. Them going back to polish old games is nice.

The movie, the first one didn't do great in the US but apparently made up for it in China.
I'm expecting a new character or two for Overwatch and some maps, probably the same for HotS, the next set for Hearthstone and I'm wondering if we'll see any announcements about HD remasters of older games since that seems to be all the rage these days and there was a rumor a while back about an HD Brood War. Diablo announcements wouldn't surprise me but I kinda doubt it would be anything interesting even for people who liked D3. I don't expect anything for WoW and SC2 will at most maybe get another mini campaign like the Nova one they're putting out now.

It's like you fags don't want to check the trainwrecks.

Fitting thread to post the Tracer

Why the fuck are there so many fucking cons nowadays? Fucking normalfags turned our hobby into a fucking social club.

Must be nature, its like the only time of the year blizzdrone autists can come out and socialize.

I miss Jay Mohr.

I think it's better this way, or it would be if they didn't all happen in the same places at around the same times. The one year I made it to Comic Con it was so fucking packed that it made the whole experience a huge pain in the ass and the last two years I haven't even been able to get tickets since they sell out within like an hour of becoming available. Theoretically more and more frequent conventions would lead to each being less crowded and thereby actually enjoyable.

This is why you never roll horde.

It's because of normalfags. Too many now. I blame you socializing fucks.

cult of e-celebs/streamers?
also funny how that new twitch prime thing made some streamers beg for streamer token (one step closer to chaturbate) since it seems they get share of the sub revenue that way too

Just like there is some new invented meme holiday for every day of the year. Unless you're planning to kidnap a cosplayer, there is really no reason to go to a con. Even if its some big event and something is going to be revealed, that shit hits the internet on the same day. Best to say your money for something else.

most Blizzcucks today are low-functioning autistics that are either white bread CWC looking fuckers or full on walletchain wearing prog rock faggots.

Not as long as WoW reamins profitable,
And even then I'm not sure I would even want one, looking at the mess that WoW made out of the lore.

I went to blizzcon when they had Metallica playing. Everyone had to sit in chairs hands folded, the audio quality was shit, and nobody really seemed to want to be there. Like honestly, why do they even hire those bands?

Proudmoore Alliance is notorious for being the go to place for the lgbt crowd. It cuts both ways really.

Warcraft 1-3, Diablo 1-2 and Starcraft HD remasters along with the classics being optimized for modern systems, so there's still some milking to be done.

Imagine, WoW lore and SC2 gameplay and writing.

A WC3 remaster would be nice but what can they do to the game other than making the graphics better? (and the graphics are not that bad even today) I guess making ranked better and making some better antihack is all you can do

All of them with Always Online integrated, of course. :^)

make the editor better

The hard part is making it better without making it more complex. The sc2 editor is better than the wc3 one but it is also more confusing for newbies

I would want this if they weren't guaranteed to fuck them up.

Should I bother watching blizzcon if I only played a few blizzard games, like a small amount of diablo 2, warcraft 3 and the abandoned point and click adventure

The only reason to care about Blizzcon is if you want the promotional "goodies" for the Blizzard game you play.

Or wanna scalp em down the line.

So no.

Why would we want to keep up on the trash fire news? It's a trash fire. Gaming is about social link ups and microtransactions these days. Couldn't even stop Konami from turning Metal Gear into it.

Update the graphics options to modern standards, it doesn't even have a built in windowed mode and the cutscenes always fuck your resolution.

They can't fix D3 endgame because the core systems of the games are broken. It makes no sense from a design perspective and from a business perspective to redesign the whole game from the ground up instead of just making a fresh game that will draw in more players and more money.

Blizzard would be stupid not to release vanilla servers and/or vanilla servers with progression. Minimal expenditures to get it working and it can be kept running by a skeleton crew. Players who pay subs for the live game have full access to vanilla stuff, players who don't have a live sub can play vanilla for like 5$ a month. Makes customers happy, makes Blizzard more popular, makes Blizzard money.

D2 sucks post 1.10 anyways. Part of what made D2 great was the immense build variety. 1.10 killed pretty much every non cookie-cutter build. Having automatic gold pickup would be a godsend though.

Pretty sure starcraft HD is further in development compared to warcraft 2.

I wonder if classic warcraft servers are more or less likely to happen as more senior staff quit.

Get the feeling they'd announce them next year rather than this year, IF they were going to do them.

Wheaton made an ass out of himself on Twitter last year, and got involved with Social Justice/Gamer Gate shite that pissed some people off. On top of that, he admitted he never gave a full fuck about video games let alone Blizzard content, saying he'd learn about their stuff half-assed, thinking his "internet cred" will get him by. There were a couple of people who changed their minds about getting virtual tickets after knowing Wil Wheaton was the host.

Out of Big Bang Theory, no one likes nor cares about Wheaton. The Twitter stuff was hilarous because everyone spammed, "Shut up, Wheaton/Wesley" when he finally bitched about that phrase triggering him. He just spazzed over some relationship therapist like a sjw cunt, making people hate him even more.

It'll be shit. Nothing cool enough to warrant any real attention or anything that will be worth-while. Just don't pay attention to Blizz anymore. They are as good as dead at this point.

I can't wait for some censored, sjw-edition of these remasters (you know they're going to censor the fuck out of the Diablos for sjws despite they never touched the games). The Diablo franchise is pretty fucked now.

SocialJusticeWatch and Hearthstone are still shitting money for them, and if they announce Diablo 4, they'll probably bring back some disgruntled fanboys who hate Diablow 3….for the moment (until they find out there's some sjw-shit in the new Diablo, or Wyatt Cheng with a revived Jay Wilson or worse will be making Diablo 4).

And early-access characters for sleazy games like Heroes of the Shitstorm and SocialJusticeWatch (which would be pretty bad if they did this to SocialJusticeWatch).

Robin Williams and a few pornstars and celebs liked Blizzard's stuff, and actually attended Blizzcons in the past. Might be different now with Blizzard being shite.

...

Diablo 3's end game is in bad shape, and the development team just got smaller. They were looking for people to work on a possible sequel or side game.

They're not even bringing up Heroes of the Shitstorm in reports because they know their shitty, sleazy Moba bombed hard after the fanboys can't defend it let alone spend their money on pointless, broken shit anymore (No really, they were releasing incomplete models and skins for a live fucking assfaggot game). As of now, they still won't bring up sub numbers when WoD almost killed WoW.

Only the SocialJusticeWatch posters are going to jerk off to Blizzcon. Expect a bitch fest if they bring that piece of fucking shit Wheaton back as the host.

If they don't announce it at this Blizzcon, I'm sure it'll never happen.

I wanna see someone ask about legacy servers again.

And they probably won't release sub numbers for Legion either, people are starting to quit because it's becoming more apparent how bad Legion is. Everything is time-gated, you're heavily discouraged from making alts or even having an off-specs because of the terrible artifact system, gear is incredibly reliant on RNG to get, if you're lucky, you can get a mythic raid level item from world quests, not to mention the stupid legendary RNG, where some people who barely play have three and hardcore players who've been playing hours a day since launch have zero.
The new expansion hype is dead and WoW's subs continue their plummet.

how would you keep vanilla wow alive? what kind of updates

I wonder if they would change their response, or just give the same one

Didn't they talk with the guys from Nostalrius ? I don't think I have ever heard what happened after that.

They didn't do anything or say anything.

I'd hope its the same response so it adds more to the fire.

If you got them to make a classic WoW server, would you want them to carry over graphical upgrades or just release untainted?

graphical upgrade or not, they'd just make it pay 2 play I bet or pay 2 win.

Theres no way they can make a good job of this even if they were smart enough to go for classic servers.

Who is he and why does he matter?
Why did people not like that?

Other than maybe balance changes, to make hybrid classes able to do something other than heal in raids, nothing.
Vanilla WoW has the content to survive on its own for years, maybe even indefinitely.

WoW looked like shit when it was new and it didn't stop looking like shit afterwards.

I'm happy with Legion. I want MORE of Legion.

Seeing Metzen finally off the scene will only be a breath of fresh air to those of us who are interested in seeing Warcraft take a positive turn. Demon Hunter is a good class, DK has been nerfed so they're no longer too underpowered and Broken Isles are fun to explore.

I'm giving it 3 months to truly keep me going. If Blizzard impresses me, I'll stay on board.

Oh hey, another Blizzard employee left. This is what? The 5th or 6th employee who left the company (I'm not counting Metzen because fuck him. He made them leave with his bullshit)?

twitter.com/FubarNick/status/775181536756924416

I developed the nerve to check out the MMO Champion forums. It's hilarious how the fanboys are really trying to defend Legion and Blizzard. Speaking of HoTS:

us.battle.net/heroes/en/forum/topic/20749256381

It's the fucking Alpha testing all over again when everyone cried about the retarded lol-like rune system being added to Hots. Fanboys apologized to Blizzard for that shit.

What's the general opinion or consensus on the dungeons and raids knowing Blizzard is slowly trying to kill add-on support for dat esport shit? I'm not surprised the artifact system ruined alts and specs.

If Legion is doing as bad as people are making it out to be (which it probably is), Blizzard had better choose their words very carefully if someone brings up Nostralius or legacy servers.

Fuck off.

Fuck you.

kek, blizzard is really fucking clueless

Fuck you, and get lost, Wheaton.

Fuck off shilltard.

Whatever Wheaton, you fucking retard.

Only EN has been released so far, but nobody's really singing its praises. From what I've seen, none of the bosses are very interesting, even the last boss Xavius is a fairly basic fight. You could probably easily do all the bosses on mythic without addons because of how easy they are.

The only thing that can save this Blizzcon is the vanilla servers announcement.

In reality will be a fucking ton of OVERWATCH content, some new card/expac for HS and, maybe, some new feature in DIABLO3 and SC2. Since retail WoW just came out it will be largely ignored.

Not being able to be optimistic about the industry future is finally starting to get tiresome

Vanilla servers alone won't save Blizzcon. The Diablo news had better be something good if they want to salvage something. I just can't see a Diablo 3 expansion with the team getting smaller. The game's is on life support.
