I told my friend that the aut-right is a fascist movement, and he replied with "it really isn't at all."
What's the most bulletproof argument for this?
I've tried showing him the definition of fascism, or telling him that the alt-right wants to create an authoritarian White ethno-state that discriminates against women and minorities, aside from being extremely superficial, but he won't budge.
Showing the roots it has in neo-Nazism, he claims, "Nazis are white, blond haired and blue eyed. The alt-right is for all White people."
He is right. Half of modern white supremacists would be seen as subhuman by the Nazis.

I should note that he is insisting Aryans are the only people capable of being Nazis.

So Hitler wasn't a Nazi?
Thomas Ward
No he was a brown hair junkie
Tyler Lopez
I brought that point up, he ignored it.
My mind is blown.
Jayden Bennett
Tell him he's wrong about Nazi's. Germans aren't all just "le blonde and blue eyes", there's different Germanic peoples and some Slavs are part Germanic. He's just deflecting, it's the same difference. Fascist like Mussolini are more moderate than the alt-right by comparison, they're just a neonazi movement.
Also tell him that Hitler had rhetoric about "designing Not Socialism to be applicable to all races". Aryan is also a super broad category, there are middle eastern ethnic groups that are "Aryan". If I were I you I would stop being friends with retarded Nazi'sz
Samuel Phillips
By offering him evidence of how the Nazis, given time, would accept various people into their ranks due to their ideological dishonesty and position shifting - something the Aut-Right is filled with. See "Everyone Knows a Good Jew". When all these anti-semites realised they had at least one Jewish friend, family member or a Rabbi in their heritage, they'd swiftly roll out the "Good Jew" argument and make some kind of bizarre exception for their Hebrew friend.
This would later be extended to practically anyone who would fight on their behalf when the Master Race realised it couldn't fill all the gaps in it's ranks. Technically the Nazis should've rejected Southern Italians as not being non-Aryans, but had to switch positions regarding that as well.
Also see 'Honorary Aryans'.

The alt-right is a countermovement to the mental illness wave that is rolling across america. Transgenderism, SJWism, feminism and all the other manifestations of cultural marxism. It seeks to hold on to what is and in that sense it is a conservative movement. Don't mistake Holla Forums for the alt-right. Milo, Molyneux and Watson are not fascists or nazis, they just want to preserve western civilization, which will seize to exist if the whites are displaced by niggers and sandcoons. Self-preservation =/= Fascism.

The alt-right has more jews among its ranks and is more pro-israel than any other popular movement. Breitbart, Filterman, Donald Trump Jr, Molyneux. You can't throw a stone without hitting a jew.

Not all fascists are Nazis.

This is what all fascists say.
Nationalsozialismus is a countermovement to the mental illness wave that is rolling across Germany. Jewry, Marxism and socialism. It seeks to hold on to what is it and in that sense it is a conservative movement. Don't mistake the NSDAP for the far right. Hitler, Bormann, Goring are not fascists they just want to preserve German civilization, which will seize to exist if the germans are displaced by slavs and jews

Decadent consumerist culture (being able to buy the things you want) makes high culture possible in the first place. You can't grow very much as a person while you're struggling to acquire mundane material things. Always remember that materialism is the base for spiritualism.

The Germans were masters of Mental Gymnastics, but then again that's what your movement is founded entirely on opportunism.
Daily reminder; the Germans didn't begin their propaganda campaign against the Poles until 1938 and SS members were playing the Internationale when Molotov visited Berlin in 1940.

You have an impression that the Third Reich is all about "WE ARE SUPERIOR BOW BEFORE US"
In reality, the Third Reich was about making sure that the even the lowest in society could prosper.

Well the term was coined by Richard Spencer, a white nationalist. There is a reddit-y half that does not consider itself fascist and is more anti-PC liberal, but they're usually the useful idiots of the movement. The driving force behind the alt-right has always been the fascist extremist side in terms of actual policy views. That's what separates them from say the tea party movement before them (as well as age difference): its primary concern has always been white identity and harshly criticizing those on the center right who try to ignore white identity.
If he's from the_donald, he'll probably not recognize it. The point is that they're not the ones behind the platform. Milo and the like serve as bright, flashy distractions for the liberal half of the alt-right, but ultimately those sorts are just comedians and entertainers who will continue to latch on to the movement regardless of its platform. The movement has always been driven, at its core, by fashies, though they may be the more obscure part of the movement.
Nolan Hall
It's funny, I always thought "alt-right" applied to those 'civic nationalists' like the Milo crowd, infowars people and r/the_donald - which is why Holla Forums (actual white nationalists) hated the term.
Now I find out that it's apparently the literal opposite, alt-right is basically neo-nazis and all those civic nationalists are distancing themselves from the movement.
Seeing as how they were calling themselves alt-right before, this seems to come to a surprise to them too. I'd call this some 1984 tier move by the media, but then again the guy who invented the term alt-right really is a neo-nazi, so I don't know who's shilling who anymore.
Xavier Jenkins
It's just lolbergs trying to relevant again.
Leo Carter
The popular "alt-right" media figures basically have an ideology of Libertarianism-Contrarianism with attention-seeking characteristics, but the base is actual neo-nazis.
Luis Ramirez
He's right. Nazis and the white nationalists have never been part of the alt-right, they've been the far right for decades, long before alt-right ever existed. The "alt-right" is mostly younger internet savvy conservative reactionaries who aren't part of the traditional conservative religious right, such as Milo, Molyneaux, or other related e-celebs. For the most part, people like Milo are not fascists or white nationalists at all, they're just standard run of the mill libertarians or ancaps with a younger more "hip," less PC coat of paint. For every Richard Spencer calling himself "alt-right" there are 100 people who show up to a Milo rally.
If you want fascists or real life Nazi larpers, take a look at Holla Forums, that's what they look like. They're nothing like the mostly ancap "alt-right," which Rachel Maddow and other media reactionaries are trying to turn into an evil racist boogeyman following their embarrassing election. In fact, the "alt-right" is just another attempt by your friendly media to intentionally ignore the real issue of capitalism.
Kevin Lopez
Aryan comes from a completely wrong interpretation of Germans as having descended from Indian ancestors.
Nicholas Lopez
Certain Indians and certain Germans (as well as French, Russians, Baltics, Greeks, Italians etc) have the same male line ancestry. This is not the same as saying Germans descended from Indians, but rather a group of common ancestors migrated to both Europe and Northern India during the Bronze Age and intermingled with the sedentary farming cultures of Neolithic Europe and the Indus River valley, spreading a common language and certain religious aspects along with them.
Alexander Stewart
If you wanna be super academic about it, Fascism is strictly defined as Fascism when it a) is a political party that has the backing of Capital b) bans all other political parties and c) exists (and is backed by Capital) because it is Capital's last resort; liberal bourgeois democracy is actually better for Capitalists, but when faced with an option of Socialism and the Far Right, Capital will back the Far Right as this is not as bad news for Capitalists, turning a Far Right movement into Fascism.
In that respect, Trump (for example) cannot be considered a Fascist because a) he does not have the backing of the majority of Capital (Clinton did) and b) he doesn't wish to ban all political contest.
Fascism tends to exist in historical periods where the contest for the popular vote seems to be being won by the Socialist Left, and the establishment needs a way out; they back Far Right movements in response.
However, falling back on such an academic definition might not actually be practically useful. But it is something to consider.
