Modern video games are repulsive to everyone and the industry is known for its inconsistent, project-based employment with long hours and comparatively low pay before the inevitable layoff. I don't know why men would want to get into it either. That doesn't really have any bearing on broader STEM employment though unless you erroneously believe that video games are the exclusive gateway to interest in the field.

The statistics themselves are misleading a year or so ago the usual suspects all pushed forward a study that most people who own video game consoles are middle-aged women. People were extremely confused till they found out most of these women were mothers who "owned" a console because their kids play video games. So since the mother is most likely the person to answer a survey about the home you got those results.

You can do it in a number of ways, including if you put a little bit (like a table spoonful) of water into a glass bowl, pierce the yolk with a fork so that it doesn't explode, and then put a plate on top so that it's covered and traps the steam. Boil 1 inch of water, crack an egg into a small cup or rameken, when the water is boiling add a small teaspoon of vinegar (this is optional), turn off the heat and now with a stir stick or a spoon or whatever stir the water in the pot to swirl in either direction and gently pour your egg in just above the surface of the water (you don't want it breaking, after all), the swirling water will keep your egg intact. Cover with a pot/pan lid (depending on which you used), and let sit for 4 to 5 minutes, then remove from pot and serve.

I do only eat for utility purposes.
