It's a reskin of FarCry 4 set in the stone age. No joke; the maps are even the same. Oh, and it's got Press X To Tame creature and Owl UAV's.

It's fucking garbage. It doesn't even have an ending. You defeat the final boss and then the game returns to normal, with you back at your base-camp with nothing having changed. Also all the characters are unlikable and treat you like garbage giving you little reason to care about helping anyone. And all the animals are bullet sponges, expect the Mammoth that you can kill with a few spears to the head - it takes longer to kill a bear or a honey badger than it does a wooly mammoth.

I had hoped that it was a passion project and would be good like Blood Dragon was, but it was just so fucking shit. So fucking shit. I have never felt so much fucking contempt for a fucking game. It took all the shitty parts of FarCry and decided to focus just on that rather than revel in its non-mainstream-farcry setting and fuck it sucked. Still so fucking mad at it.

Maybe. The big things that killed it for me were the netcode and shitty, inconsistent input detection on basically everything. Guardbreak counters rarely worked properly, switching stances mid combo was very unresponsive, dash attack inputs would regularly get dropped probably due to having a stupidly short window to input them even though they don't come out until the very end of the dash animation, zone attack inputs usually just gave light or heavy attacks instead, basically everything short of very basic things like light attack and heavy attack chains, blocking, and dodging was a crapshoot as to whether or not the game would execute your inputs properly.

Of all of these I think maybe the netcode might get fixed and the rest will probably stay just as clunky as it was. If all of them do miraculously end up fixed it will probably still get dragged down by a focus on microtransactions for cosmetics and shit.

Nigger For Honor is the only good thing ubishit has done in ages. It even has actual good gameplay included, which is far more than most ubi trash ever gets.

What the game really has going for it is the weapon variety and open objectives. It's definitely a game for short bursts though, if you play it for more than a few hours at a time you'll realize it's essentially an meaningless feedback loop.

FarCry 3 is a mix between 2 and an Asscreed game.
Its fucking ass and it wouldnt be that way if it actually paced itself better and gave you shit like the wing suit sooner.
It had a nice atmosphere, to be honest I probably enjoyed it more than FarCry 2 because it doesnt waste so much of your fucking time on chokepoint travelling, had wildlife (And Im autistic for sharks and giant carnivore sea life in general), weapon customization that was actually balanced, having fast travelling wherever wherever was a shit mechanic though, it needs to be better regulated not 8, not 80, the inventory and cash system was fucking horrid, the shooting was worse than FarCry 2 (but the animations were better, chambering a round mid magazine/clip triggers me everytime and I have this problem with S.T.A.L.K.E.R as well which I fix with mods) and lacked the gritiness, sandboxy feel of 2, the story feeling like a fucking Heart of Darkness rewritten by a 13 year old.

I really think 3 gets the cake though because it doesnt waste so much of your fucking time and the missions are actually varied.
They're both still pretty awful in my opinion, especially in comparison to the first one.

I dont know, sometimes I get stuck wihout a vehicle or in the middle of Bus stops with one after finishing a mission and I quit right there out of frustration.

The core strength of the game is that you have so many ways to approach scenarios, the long distances and lack of concrete info means that you have to plan ahead to what you think you'll find, and if you turn out to be wrong you have to improvise. Every game these days has instant travel and free do-overs and you're never creatively challenged. If you just directly slog through everything with brute force, it's no fun at all, just like in Crysis.
