Another reason why jap devs are jumping on Steam and PC in general is that games will keep on selling gradually with spikes during seasonal sales after release unlike consoles where sales will pretty much dry up completely after 2 weeks.

If you're seriously planning to get into translation, you need to learn sooner or later that "direct" translations tend to lose more of the original work's intent/delivery than a good localization that doesn't translate based off the exact Japanese words, but rather the intent behind the words.

No, I don't want your opinion on what you think the dev meant to say. Because of that we get shit translations due to adding in their "spice ups". It used to be fine to just allow flexible translation work since people used to know how to either make a Japanese joke sensible in English or don't change it and just explain it in a separate way.
Also using DEATH in some way instead of HELL would've made her much better since the HELL part was kinda annoying in a bad way- but that part wasn't that bad since that part is a real 8 ball so I didn't mind their compromise.

But fuck, a rail shooter for the PC is basically just a point-and-click adventure game where the only "puzzle" is "click thing you want to die." There's not even any aiming like with an FPS, the screen's static so it's literally just moving the mouse pointer around.

I'm not going to defend DT2 anymore, since I found out that they didn't submit the uncensored version of the game first, instead just running with the assumption that it would be AO based off of conversations that they had with ESRB reps. I won't condone their actions outright, since what they do is technically going to have the same effect on what gets changed either way (and based off the text translation, they tried to keep the translation accurate) but I'm not going to say that they couldn't have done more.

As for NISA, I've talked with them more in depth and, at least on the censorship side of things, I'm inclined to believe that's actually a push from NIS - as in, the Japanese branch. That could be a scapegoat, and a lot of their translations still have issues, but I stand by the idea that people make them into a larger "bogeyman" than they actually are.

Censorship is far from NISA's greatest sin.

Name me a game localized by NISA that does not have a game-breaking (or otherwise significant) bug that was not present in the original version.

Apparently it has the panic mode, which is only in the PS4 version. The biggest difference between the two is going to be the textures, so look for some screenshots and see if the textures look like shit or not.

The game isn't worth 38 dollars I'll tell you that. But it is a pretty fun game. It grades you on timing, accuracy, amount of times you're hit, and score. Every girl takes about 5+ shots to take down with an un-upgraded gun. However, every girl has an "Ecstasy Spot" where it's an OHKO if you hit them there. Gliding the cursor over the right area will name off the area if it's the Ecstasy Spot. Head, chest, waist, hips. Any of them can be weak spots.

There's also an incentive to get girl's measurements by zooming in on them. Zooming in also allows you to see and shoot through walls that would normally hide weakspots or hidden objects to shoot. You have an AOE charged shot to stun girls to make this easier. The difficulty comes from taking measurements and knocking out every girl in 1 hit. Though it's still on the easy side, it kept me engaged.

The game plays like a dating sim too. Where your stats; intelligence, athleticism, style, and lewdness, determine what choices you can make to girls. Lewdness always has the funniest choices so keep that high if you want to fuck around and get the worst but funniest endings. Stats are gained through the store items or Doki-Doki Mode. It's your bomb/nuke in-game. You lock on to 3 girls and rapid fire on their ecstasy spot but this one is much more precise. Whatever part you shoot fuels a stat. Like chest for fitness and head for intelligence.

I thought it was just that certain girls give/remove certain stats. I always save it for the teachers, since they seem to give the best stat boosts.

Biggest gripes about this game was the lack of enemy variety. Playing House of the Dead, there are enemies jumping off the wall and flying all over the place. Or enemies with tons of armor. This just has school girls and with demons and the silly setting it supplied, it could have added more. Occult girls that throw voodoo dolls, girls in football gear that have armor hiding their Ecstasy Spots, athletic girls that sprint and grab your legs. Just giving examples. It does, however, have possessed girls that can push you to the ground and stomp on your dick. Or girls who grab you and keep kissing you.

Another problem for me was girls not matching their measurements. If her bust is 95, her tits should be massive. Same with the other measurements. Overall though I enjoyed the game and had tons of fun playing it with a friend where we took turns playing and making decisions. I would say it's worth 25 at most. I hope you faggots enjoy it but don't expect it to replace other good rail shooters/light guns.

Senran Kagura isn't all just fanservice. There is actually a decent game behind it. As for Estival Versus, I really enjoyed that game and not just because of fanservice. It's definitely a button masher and it's no DMC. But it's fast enough to not be boring and almost has enough depth to be engaging when you put it on hard. The music is great and many of the characters are fun to use. While the story isn't anything special it kept my attention while providing entertaining characters. It's a game I can keep coming back to because it's mindless fun with the right balance of pacing and combat depth.

There are many games with ecchi fanservice but there's a reason SK still gets some discussion. If you want a ecchi game with great gameplay. There's always Dungeon Travelers 2, Arcana Heart 3 Love Max (2 is good too from what I've heard), YU-NO (for those that like adventure games), and Kamidori Alchemy Meister if you want something more than just ecchi.

i stopped following watamote aeons ago, it jumped the shark when she actually goes out and succesfully socializes, nullifying the whole gimmick.

i decided to look at this and it doesn't seem very bad. house of the dead except instead of zombies its women throwing themselves at you with some vn elements in between shooting galleries and branching paths that make you able to hook up with any of them.

I got the game from mega. It locks up my pc for 30 seconds, before starting up.

Nice game, way purer than anticipated. The shooting sections are nothing like I had imagined, it's actually really humorous. The lewder parts are the cutscenes when you have to interact with the characters (and it's more ecchi than sexual).

Do you have any actual criticism on why it's shit? Also it's nothing like NuDoom. No one is claiming it's GoTY or anything amazing and I even explained that to another user when he compared it to Gone Home. NuDoom is a AAA game that is dumbed down from the older game in some ways while being praised as the best FPS in ages. GalGun is its own thing and no one is claiming it's anything great but enjoy it because it's decent and fills a niche they like. It's not the same and a bad comparison.

Then under “[TextureStreaming]" category, find “PoolSize=150″ and set it to “PoolSize=320″
You can increase this PoolSize even more, but your game may start to crash if you set this to very high value.
Save and exit the editor.
