It's REALLY fucking hard to make an interesting game outside of block games without any violence at all. Even Mario has you jumping on dudes to squish them. Most games go out of their way to make violence less disturbing with the exception of Midway/Netherrealm and sometimes Epic Games, and even those two usually go over the top with it and don't make it serious.
