Welp, never played the game like this before, should be interesting.

I had never see the counter animation on the fists, it's actually kinda hilarious
Also killing that knight in the church went faster than I expected but it was a pain the ass on the other hand it is pretty funny how my tiny punch actually staggered him when he tried to drink estus

It took me three hours to reach Anor Londo and five tries to get past the snipers. Anyone else feeling a bit rusty?

alright, i've done most of the list, even got a couple PVP kills in the depths and blighttown - i was surprised how easy it was to find invasions at reasonable levels in far flung areas of the game.

I had to actually upgrade my armor to kill Cappra, but it was actually pretty fun, also I haven't missed my shield that much, usually I run the grass crest shield for the regen but this run is making me actually use my rolls wisely also parrying with the cestus is pretty easy

I've been sitting on this game for a couple years now… on my 360. Should I kill myself, or does anyone have a suggestion on a newb build?

I just want to have fun and videogames.

If you don't want to roll for a build, and you've never played the game before, just pump your strength, vitality, endurance, and a magic of your choosing. I'd go faith because I feel it's more useful, but on the other hand it does take some time to acquire all the best faith spells, so maybe you can try your hand at sorcery first.

Get your END to 40
Get your STR to 50
Get either INT or FTH to 50
Get your Attunement to 25ish, you get 10 slots at 50 but you'll get half that before you hit 30

Go here, play around with stats until you're satisfied. I'd suggest you either choose STR or DEX, not both, unless there's a specific weapon you want to use that requires sufficient investment in both (Silver Knight Straight Sword, for example), and then fool around with groups of weapons that rely on your chosen stat.
Pyromancy is free, does not require a stat investment

appreciate it bud, i usually play MUDs on my PC and this was one of the only newer RPGs that seemed breddy fuckin comfy.

No problem. I should clarify that you these stat suggestions are the highest you should invest in those stats. Anything else more than the advised allotment is unnecessary because you'll hit some severe diminishing returns. If you want to PvP, most people try to stay within the SL120 -150 range, so keep that in mind when building your character. If you don't give a shit about PvP, then go nuts. Oh yeah, don't invest anything in Resistance, it's a useless stat.

Don't forget to collect materials to forge your weapons, because they're going to be more important than your stats. Your stats let you meet weapon requirements, and they offer some bonus damage scaling, but generally speaking, your weapon's level is going to determine how much damage it can deal.

Fast rolls are best, but poise lets you tank hits. Try to wear equipment that offers a balance of both. 40 poise will let you pretty much withstand one or two swings from a straight sword before you flinch.

excellent. my first play i didn't make it too far before getting annoyed at how shit my character was, and couldn't find any gear. my current save is a pretty much a naked zombie wielding a stick and i have no fucking idea how i made it passed the first boss heh
