Video game thread

It's that time of the year again! Let's try having a thread where we talk about video games on Holla Forums, it will be a lot of fun.

What video games do you like?

I'm playing a mix of monster hunter, grim dawn and EDF. It's all aight.

Is reddit down?

I just killed the Seregios to get into G2 rank.

Didn't we already have a 3x3 thread?

It feels like forever since we've had one of these. I've been playing SMT IV Apocalypse

How's that? You playing the english or undub?

would you play vidya with Tomoko?

I'm playing Monster Hunter 3 U and Moemon Sigma Emerald. I'm trying out a comepletely different team this time than my usual in moemon and so far it's going nicely.

I've been playing M&M6, it's pretty comfy

Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo is really fucking good
It's easy to clear, but the way the game is designed means you can control the difficulty on your own pace depending on how much you want to score/survive
It creates this neat rollercoaster of doing really well before dying and having to take it easy for a little bit, as the rollercoaster in difficulty takes off again
The music is ace too

Playing Blood 2 right now. Don't even know why honestly, just got bored and felt like playing nothing else

I'm playing Touhou Seirensen. It's a danmaku shmup. The goal is to shoot enemies and survive bullet patterns. I'm currently practicing and trying to get a hiscore.

VIDEOGAMES?!

Playing grim dawn and EDF also rise of the tomb raider when im drinking

...

Yes I would like to fuck Tomoko thank you for asking.
I'm having a rough time starting Dead Rising as I'm level 5, finished the first case, and let two survivors I've saved die while trying to escort them doing the case
I haven't made it to 6 A.M. second day yet.

Playing Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice. I don't like the animations, but I hear it was like this in Dual Destinies too. Otherwise it's pretty decent. On the third case. Rayfa a qt.

I wanted to play Total Annihilation, but a recent Wine update broke it. Linux gaming is a bad joke.

Can somebody recommend a comfy DS game?

It is the english version, but I just mute the voices during cutscenes and such. I love the home music that play when you enter your home, reminds me of the SNES games.

DT2, getting my shit pushed in by the postgame gods. Too unfocused to grind all my charas to pique condition & farm some items to keep from dying to shitty all-target attacks.

That's Dungeon Travelers 2

I like Kings Field. Been playing it and it's really cozi.

Kirby Super Star Ultra, Umihara Kawase DS, SMT:Strange Journey, Pokemon Platinum, Legend of the Stafy, Retro Game Challenge (GameCenter CX), New Super Mario Bros,

I'm playing flash Isaac's hard mode because it's fun and I like the challenge.

If you're having a hard time because of low level don't bother trying to keep up with the case file outside of case 1 to open places up

The Holla Forums doesn't like games meme never was a thing until we got more cross poster, just for those who aren't in the know.
Pl
Playing hellmoo with fags, was playing godeater and stalker CoC. Maybe I'll play something else tonight.

I was playing MGSV yesterday for S ranks. When I replayed Hellbound (the one where have to take Emmerich to your base), I noticed that you can just leave him on horseback, then whistle to call D-Horse so it respawns/walks up next to you, so carrying someone doesn't have to be an hindrance.

It's shit like this that I love about video games. Whether it's intentional or not, sometimes you find ways to circumvent a system by exploiting its mechanics. If you're knowledgeable and experienced enough, you can embarrass and manipulate the game and set your own pace.

Thanks mate.

No we don't.

I love when it's all sticky like that..

Is it your first time playing the Dead Rising series in general or just the first game? Because even when it launched the original could get pretty unforgiving, I personally wouldn't recommend you attempt trying to do the story on your first playthrough.

Been playing Grand Kingdom on the vita, which is a pretty neat trpg. Honestly considering buying a legit copy of the game to use the online stuff if it's still active enough.

I just bought a PS4 Slim the other week, so of course I'm playing mostly Toukiden for the Vita, GTAV for the PC, still grinding hearts for the goddess slut walk on Kid Icarus Uprising, and started dicking around with Lolipop Chainsaw for the 360.

What, you expected a PS4 game on that list?

It did come with Uncharted 4, and I've been playing around with that. It's ok. The environmental puzzles are pretty hand-holdy, and don't quite scratch that itch for classic Tomb Raider style environmental exploring. It's like they were designed more to show off the "pretty" skyboxes and environments - than actually being challenging or fun. He's got this weird magnetic grip where I've missed jumps - both due to my own fault and due to poor environmental construction - but the character just warps a few inches forward anyhow to make the landing. It's frustrating as shit to make blind leaps and miss landings because the game didn't register them, but this just feels cheap - like the game is patronizing the player.

Otherwise, it's pretty decent. One of the better ((current year)) games I've played, but only a 7.5 compared to classic games of this type.

I haven't gotten into Bloodborne yet, but I did get Journey since it was free on PSN, and I still feel like I overpaid for it. Boring fucking walking sim that's shallow as a puddle but puts on airs of "too-deep-4-u" with it's art design and it just comes off as being needlessly pretentious.

I've been itching to play Bloodborne but I cant justify buing a console and paying for online for just one fucking game. Maybe 3, if the the vita versions of DOAX3 and Estival Versus don't stack up to the console versions.

Actually not playing anything right now.

DOAX3 Vita doesn't have the soft engine so no tan and no physics, only pre rendered bounce and it runs at 30Fps, SKEV runs at 30 on Vita, 60 on PS4.

I'm playing PSO on the Ephinea server lately, because my toaster can't handle PSO2, and I like having a translated story.

The online for BB is pretty dead except for a few places, I would just play it with the intention of singleplayer.

Fuck. Even so I feel like I'll end up regretting buying a PS4 right now. Maybe if the VR waifus get some kind of english release I'll get one.

Battlefield 2142 is back (and free), so I've been playing it. I also dabbled in MechWarrior 4 multiplayer but I haven't really got the drive to continue.

Running through a modded New Vegas since I did a ton of shit on the base game; I keep adding more shit every time I play since I have an actual computer now instead of a craptop. Also SMTIV:Apocalypse is pretty good, and I need to find some spooky games soon since halloween is coming up. I can't wait for december since that's when I do my yearly Yoshi's Island run; the snow levels are comfy as hell.

Can someone suggest me an RPG? I'm not really into RPGs but i want to, something that isn't boring generic fantasy because those always bore me to death.

Playing Grim Dawn, Secrets of Grindea, Armello, and Necrovision. Pretty comfy

Underrail is pretty much Metro 2033: the RPG, which has a really solid combat system and character building on top of a great atmosphere.
You are encouraged to explore, and no playstyle is inefficient

Those bugs tho

Man that looks good, gonna piratefag.

Use playonlinux to manage wine versions. It makes shit a lot less painful when you do a system update and suddenly a bunch of applications installed with wine are broke.

I only really play shooters when I'm drunk, so the bugs just make me laugh. I clipped through the trench wall near the opening chapter after kicking one of the zombies and immediately died, I've been trying to recreate that bug but no luck so far

I like video games

Just started Dragon Quest V, pretty good so dar, even better than IV. Let's see if it can surpas III

maya still best

liar

I wish I liked Blast Works but I don't.

She'd probably cheat so nothing competitive.

I've been playing world of tanks and world of warships, just a little bit though.

uhh
age of wonders?

Would you play Sengoku Rance with her

Lewd vidya yes.

shit sucks

Sure is a shitload of people playing EDF and Grim Dawn.
I am too.

That's every thread on Holla Forums

Interesting. How does it handle mods?

Why would I talk about video games on a video game board?

Where do you think you are lad?

shoo shoo

Smash 4 currently, trying to get gud.
Also Bayonetta 1, but just occasionally.
Sometimes Company of Heroes 2 and League to keep up with friends back in my hometown.
