Too bad she's nearly useless in game.

Man fuck solo que, after playing with a actual team I never want to go through that again.

I don't want Widowmaker.

I have experienced losing streaks in grouped and soloQ, so I can't tell which one is worse.

quick Wallpapers

I want solo queue to actually be solo.

Sick of getting matched with bad stacks.

Zarya's so fucking good, best tank in the game.

That's what you get for winning too much games in the past user, you hurt someone's feelings.
–Yours Blizzard

Choose your difficulty.

Zarya good as solo tank? I typically don't use her unless another tank is on the team. Ideally if theres a D.va or Hog.

…What?

I fucking hate ranked. There should be a basic IQ test before you can play ranked to weed out all those retards who cannot comprehend that you have to

GET

ON

THE

POINT.

hue

OW enforces a 50/50 win ratio on the game by stacking the odds against you once you have won too many games, it works in reverse as well, once you have lost enough you will get paired against babies that can't even play the game.

...

Placement matches were supposed to do that, but turns out there is smurfing and their system favors damage dealers when ranking up and down.

But why does it have to be shitstacks? I wouldnt care if I was losing with random people, but stacks? That's just infuriating.

You guise should play Paladins™

I'm just sick of people leaving in the middle of a match.

Has this actually been proven? Or is it still just speculation?

I remember a post a while ago on the blizzforums with one developer saying they "they knew better" that people like winning only, no matter how close or exciting the match is, and making a longer wait just for a defeat will reduce the enjoyment of the game.

So they just "kinda" match people around together, and just care about not making you wait too much otherwise if you wait too much and get stomped you will stop playing.

The entire matchmaking is made to be as "enjoyable" as possible, they don't give a shit about fairness.

...

Because depending on the time of the day there might not be enough players to give you a proper balance in matches, or the enemy team for that matter, let's say the enemy team is competent but has been losing, you would get stacked with idiots to compensate for them.

To an extent is confirmed to allegedly giving you a more competent opponent "gradually" which is more like a sudden spike, what hasn't been proven but seems to be a thing is enemy teams getting stealth buffs, as I mentioned in a previous thread, there have been instances of enemy players getting their ults charged within a minute of the match starting, a glaring example is a Torb using molten core in less than a minute when his turret was badly positioned and him not dealing enough damage in that span.

...

...

Blizzard being a bunch of faggots and appealing to the lowest common denominator, namely children with no patience, is believable.

Stealth buffs, not so much. But i wouldn't put it past the kikes over at Blizzard.

I have gotten one shot by Rein at least twice in certain matches, as Mercy, not even Tracer, Rein's hammer does 75 damage, I wasn't even discorded.

...

The source is right there in the fucking image.
It's anal vore, by the way.

Overwatch have the best asses.

I was trying to get some evidence but Shadow Play refuses to work even when I set it to capture the desktop, it only hampers my performance because it needs Aero to be enabled.

Genji has best ass.

what is this a thread for DOGS?

maybe she wouldnt be so useless if she were still sexy

...

Do it faggot.

Long read ahead, putting some highlights.

Matchmaking cares mostly about trying to get a game fast, because waiting for a perfect game in which you have 50% to lose will reduce enjoyment.
Then is ping, so everyone has the relative same ping (hit detection is bad for everyone in the same level)
Lastly, checks for groups, which makes the minority of the players.
Winrate on the map for each side, hero winrate and skill level (not explained how they measure you are good with the hero).
So, playing shit heroes will make your elo loss less points and gain more since it's a shit hero.
The skill rating of your account, is based on your hero trend, so playing new heroes fucks with matchmaking horribly.

A long rant about how in a sngle match you can get a stomp for each side and a 99%/99% 5 min overtime, so matchmaking can look worse than it really is. Because Overwatch is a weird game.

And "Avoid this player" was removed because the top percent of players were getting avoided and had huge queue times.

This sounds less like anything real and more excuses to shed the blame for a bad play.

Very shitty I have to say.

When I first read about that I thought it was a lot of salt, but apparently it just makes sense.

As I said, is just speculation and experience in my own matches as well as some of other random people, so yeah, maybe we were getting stomped so hard that our perception got somehow twisted.

I like the DVA goblin shitter meme because in real life she would be short and ugly as fuck

Those costumes are comically awful

GO HOME OVERCUCKS

...

Sure, as only healer. Sure, as Zen fighting off Genji and Reaper.
Guess where Genji is
At the end they were begging for me to swich, then threatened with reports it's funny when someone stops while I'm boosting them only to write "reported for afk.
First time I actually wanted to see my team loose. Also one of the few times I just got out of voice chat.

Utterly stomped in my next match and get more points back than I lost.

...

I wish the soundtrack to this game was like this. They could have struck gold.

This game got repetitive and boring.

if anything is boring its the maps

...

The right people died in that match

On the one hand, there is an implicit understanding that if you hold off your pick for last, you're willing to fill whatever position is needed.

But that doesn't apply if someone joins the game later on. Fuck 'em.

Is anyone else getting golds in everything but always losing because their team is retarded? I just want to know that I'm not the only one with this crushing feeling.

Consider how poorly the team can be doing if you are the one getting all the golds.

It got boring about half a year after Team Fortress 2 was released. How people can still play this genre is beyond me.

Because now there are more games than just TF2, sadly the supports always get the short end of the stick.

GET ON THE FUCKING POINT, TEAM.

Holy nuts, seriously why is everyone afraid to touch the point/payload?

JUST.
TOUCH.
IT.

That's literally all you have to do to contest it and buy time for the team.

It's like everyone is so piss-scared of dying they just pussyfoot in the general vicinity instead of mixing it up with the opposing team.

THIS HELPS NOBODY.

I tend to have the opposite problem and contest the objective when I should be taking a safer position as a squishy.
I haven't noticed people not contesting the objective all that much unless it's a Widowmaker or Hanzo who's apparently allergic to payloads or control points.

20 wins 12 losses in ranked so far
man compared to the placement of 7 losses 3 wins this is going super fucking well

cool thread fam

counter sage

probably only thing battleborn did better then the rest was have such a custom loadout and passive choices.

paladins is trying to do that but paladins is complete shit

reported

i usually just see the people who load in fastest instalock retard magnet heroes like mccree

Hiding it wont make it go away

(checked)
Said by a fucking McCree who always went alone looking to get his ebin deadeye POTG.

I seriously wanted to stop playing support but the rest of the team didn't have the fault of that guy being such an asshole.

Blimey, why do you even bother to answer him? He has filtered the thread, he isn't gonna read any of your replies anyway!

Oh come on, it's not THAT bad. At least it ain't Battleborn.

I know one guy who filters everthing he does not like. Like he wordfilters pretty much everything he does not like so their posts won't show up like "overwatch" "JoJo" "Neptunia" "undertale" "halo online" "dwarf fortress" or whatever other thing is popular at the time. And because these wordfilters do not apply to the catalog every single day he complains whenever he sees a thread related to these things in the catalog.
Every fucking day. I agree that most of these threads are shit, but he just hates everything because it is popular. You ask him why he hates Overwatch and he says it's because it's a tf2 rip off except worse. You ask why he hates JoJo and it's because it does not have a story and is just LOL SO RANDUM. You ask why he hates Dwarf Fortress it's because it's a boring over complicated Civilization rip off for people who want to pretend to be smart.
He has never played/watched/read any of these things. I mean hell, he originally hated Hotline Miami because "all it is, is mindless shooting" until he had someone gift it to him.
I don't understand why people are like this and want such an oddly specific hugbox. I mean hell, when I play Payday 2 with him, he kicks anyone who uses a dodge build rather than an armor build simply because he thinks dodge is unrealistic.
At this point I just assume people who hate this game and come into these threads every day are really autistic.

Toss your friend to a lava moat and go meet bearded women, you'll be in much better company.
To mix up two wildly different genres of videogames and assume there's no real difference in complexity between the simulation in Dwarf Fortress and Civilization… I mean, fuck, in Civ4 religion and corporations practically shared mechanics! which was hilarious, actually

Oh, I know what that is. I had 2 "friends" like that.

They don't like looking bad in front of other people. They avoid talking about or playing anything that they do not know very well or have mastered, and they'll also have a very specific way that they enjoy those things and if you do it in a different way "you're not doing it right".

In my case, it was a faggot that was pretty good at RTS games, but he only liked to play a specific one, Age of Mythology. I showed him Battle for Middle Earth 2 and he kinda liked it, but always refused to try it. Until one day he shows up and talks a lot about how he has been playing and is pretty good. So he boots a match against the AI in Brutal and it's close loss for him, so he chalenges me to do better. I win and he never mentions the game ever again.
Then there were those stupid Browser strategy games like Travian that he liked. I showed him Civilization and told him it's nearly the same but with more depth and you don't need days to play it. He never picked it up because I played in a group of 4 or 5 people and he didn't want to play multiplayer with us.

It's some sort of inferiority complex where they preemptively despise everything they aren't familiar with in order to avoid rejection. How can people criticize how much you don't know about X if you never were interested, right? How can they mock you for being bad at a game if you never play it, right?
It's a bit sad, but there's nothing you can do except keep a door open for when they stop their bullshit and actually join in.

Heh spot on chaps. It's a mixture of immaturity, self-unawareness and a large dose of autism that goes into the "I don't like this game I've never played" fags.

My brother does that exact same shit for board games, he'll get super into a ton of games and go on and on about what the meta is or how the mechanics work but never actually plays any of them even though I'm always willing to try them out with him. The handful of times I've managed to get him to try playing any of the games he's "into" he always gets super pissy whenever anything, no matter how minor, doesn't go in his favor and even if he ends up winning he'll never play the game with me a second time.

I fucking hate quick play, it's just filled with shitters.
I want to play comp, and I'm decently good at the game so I'd have fun but I can never get myself to actually click the comp search.

I am a lot like that
I wanna get out of gold then ill stop caring about winning so much

I'm the same way but I want to get into diamond. I was only 45 points away and then loss after loss and a few wins have got me at about 2900 or so.

I did my placements and then maybe 1 or 2 games after that, I'm in gold as well but like you said, I want to get up in the ranks but then suddenly just don't really even care about ranking up.

I know a guy kinda like that, here's a short list of his various quirks

watches anime only dubbed, (in fact gets legitimately angry at the thought of watching subbed)

thinks fanfiction is legit form of literature (although in his defense he only reads the top rated ones)

has a tendency of dismissing any discussion that "doesn't interest him" (although i dont think hes been doing this lately so maybe he is opening his mind a bit"

loves RWBY, which in of itself isn't a problem but hes a little too obsessed with it,

buys games knowing he isnt going to play them for a long time, (although if he does buy a better version of a game he already owns, he will usually give me the outdated copy ie he DeSu 2 3ds and gave me the ds version)

Regardless, this is only 50% accurate. A properly aged healer should have eyes that are a proper mix of sad defeat and broiling rage. The type of person that is one bad day away from making the news, but usually can't be arsed to.

My friend hates all forms of anime even though the only anime he has ever watched was elfen lied and some anime that became incest porn.
He constantly complains about how all anime is moeshit even if he has never seen a moe anime before and probably does not know what moe means and just thinks it applies to all anime.
He also got drunk a couple of nights ago and rewatched that incest anime specifically to remind himself why he hates anime.
He also thinks JoJo is moeshit (because he does not know anything about JoJo) and gets really angry whenever me and a friend make small talk by talking about the new episode, and feels the need to tell us about how awful this show he has never seen is. And whenever we remind him he has never played/watched anything he hates he tells us he does not need to watch/play it to know it's shit.
I feel like I could write a book about him.

Anime is pretty gay.

i dont think you need to write a book on the average shitposter

My friend boycotted jojo for the longest time because it was mislabeled as yaoi (that said part 5 does border on it so i can see where the label came from), and has since watched it dubbed and now loves it, which is funny considering how borderline yaoi the pillarmen also are.

joseph is now one of his favorite characters, but once told me that i almost ruined him for making him watch it in jap. strangely when i showed him the 1st episode of battle tendency he loved it, but still waited for the dub to come out

The only tank who works better solo is Reinhardt. You'd still be better off with 2 tanks, and one of them should always be Zarya.

works better than zarya solo, not that he's better off being solo

And I'd even add the stipulation that a solo Rein only works better if the team is willing to work with him. A solo Rein on a team that isn't working with him accomplishes less than a solo Zarya with the same team because a Zarya can force the retards to live a little longer whether they want to or not.

shes better at capitalizing on out of position enemies and provides a constant pressure for the enemy team thanks to her high sustain, even without a semi competent healer she can manage.
until you get to the point where your teammates are consistently making mistakes that even a zarya shield not only fails to save them, but theyre so extremely out of position that you as zarya cant even avenge them.
then what do you do. masturbate?

kek

I have noticed that whenever we have to unlock a payload, the moment we cap the point, most players run off and fight.
It's usually me as healer and one other healer or tank staying.
The team generally comes back to us, one way or another.

pic related

How autistic do you have to be to do something like this?

Time and time again I was on point and focused asap, I don't know what he meant by far behind considering they died way before I could get to the point and trying to group up only resulted in Lucio catching up to me just so we would get killed on the spot, do they expect Rein to last as if he had 1500 HP or something?

I get this far too many times too.

I watched my team take a payload almost all the way to the last point. We steamrolled the enemy team up until then but in that last little third they just stopped.
My team just fucking STOPPED trying to get on the payload.
STOPPED trying to push it even a little bit.
Kept getting pushed back.
for nearly 4 minutes (that's how quickly we rolled them to this point).

And while i'm desperately trying to flank and do all sorts of shit to distract (successfully so) and pull the hitters from the payload, my team is AROUND THE FUCKING CORNER fucking off and taking pot shots at the payload.

And when I complain? I get told i'm the piece of shit and getting asked where the fuck I was.

Tanking is suffering. Sometimes I try to play something else for a bit after so many failed games where I get all golds as Zarya and my team does jackshit. Then I watch other people play Zarya, not have a good skin for her and utterly suck at playing her.

I get that with junkrat.
I'll end up in a game and someone grabbed junkrat early. So I pick one of my other mains that can compliment the team.

Junkrat is trying to play some sort of super long range jack-off game and not really getting aggressive enough to even do ANYTHING.
Its a shame when I have gold in damage as a reaper, D.Va, or fuck I had gold in damage as a winston for one round because of that shit.

Sometimes I take too many risks with Zarya, then I remember I am not a frontline tank per se, I am supposed to project barriers on the Leeroys and harass other enemies until I have full energy and I can slice them like butter.

Speaking of Junkrat, time and time again I get called out for not jumping onto the point when I get high ground, considering I am blowing the enemy defense it would be suicide, that's when my tanks and other more durable teammates come into play, hell, I am basically softening the enemy tanks from above, is a surprise my teammates can't even get to the point when I am disrupting the enemy defense.

the loot box mechanics seem biased against that. why else would i have about 4 skins scattered through my 5 most played characters and 3 fucking legendaries for my single least played?

That's all well and good but I find it best to be there with the tanks and to really throw it down. That mine can be a pretty good disruptive weapon and it cools down rather quickly. Tossing the trap into the fray is great too. Often catches squirmy shits like Lucio.

That being said, I think part of the problem comes from people trying to make "good plays" like they're trying to be really clever with what they're doing. So they stay off the point, stick away from the payload, hold their ults until they could get maximum kills.
Now you might say you should do that with ults but I disagree.
Not only is every single kill valuable when trying to take a place but ults often have a fear component to them. They can scatter that enemy team at the very least.

On the subject of unlocks, I realized it was smarter to use the gold I get to buy up sprays. They're the cheapest and most numerous thing.
The reason being that the more of those I have, the more likely I am to get a double and thus get money from it.
Once the sprays are taken care of I'll work on the next most expensive item, so on and so forth.
The end net goal is of course to increase my chances of getting money that I can use to continually unlock things and eventually buy skins and such with ease.

Coudn´t they just avoid all that crap and introduce a server browser?

That would mean users have control over whatever they play, Blizzard doesn't like to relinquish control.

Except you are spending money faster than you are getting it.

Look at it this way, you get 5 credits whenever you receive a duplicate spray. In order to make back the 25 you spent you would need 5 duplicates after buying that spray. If you had simply NOT bought the spray you would now have 45 credits, because after the first free unlock the next 4 duplicates would have still given you 5 each. The two rates will NEVER intersect, you will always be 20 credits behind on each and every spray you pay to unlock.

I understand the logic behind it, they don't want the Dust2 situation to happen.

They could at least add an option to prevent the matchmaking from making me play two matches in a row on the same map.

It would also allow players to dominate in certain map rotations I assume, which would result in hurt feelings (aka, people winning more than 50% of the time), OW really needs some sort of community server system like TF2 had where you still need authentication to make your loot count officially but servers still would allow user customization.

Matchmaking should NOT prioritize wait time, not to the degree that it currently does. Avoid also needs to come back AT LEAST for same-team (ie avoid trolls)

High rated players don't want to be matched with low rated players any more than the lowbies want to be matched with them. When they win they get next to nothing because their rank is too high, and when they lose (and they WILL lose because there's only so much you can do to carry) they lose a shitton.

I don't know if I will ever go back to 1965, let alone get to 2000 before this season ends, I am hitting 1600s soon and I continue to lose.

Skillcaps are nothing but retarded bullshit that players use as an excuse when called out on the fact that they only ever play the heroes that the game's balance favours the most.

If you want to try and post full-match videos I can laugh at you try and tell you what you need to improve and probably guess at where your actual skill level should be.

I will try, but shadowplay won't be an option, bandicam keeps unregistering itself and OBS seems to cripple my performance, not sure, I will have to test it again.

You're ignoring the fact that by increasing my chance for duplicates that I'm increasing the rate of return.
If you take it only by a singular spray, then yes you are correct.
However, if you extrapolate it over dozens, perhaps hundreds, then I am increasing that return rate.

Because I am still going to inevitably unlock new sprays I don't have.
I am also going to unlock a multitude of other things as well.
Increasing the probability of getting a duplicate item just means I have a better chance of getting some amount of gold, any amount, per loot box and this is important because you can go a few loot box unlocks without hitting any doubles or getting any coin at all.

However, by sheer numbers you are almost always guaranteed at least one spray unlock per loot box.
I'm trying to build a steadier flow of economy to facilitate the ability to buy unlocks.

Think of it as if I am spending resources to make a resource gatherer.
So with like an SCV, the instant cost would be 50 minerals but the little guy can only carry 8 per trip back to the base. It would take 7 trips to recoup the cost (with a little extra). Now I build another, and another and the investment starts to make sense.

Each duplicate has to be one you've bought or earned, and each one you've bought is one you've spent 25 credits on. It doesn't matter how many there are, you are still losing out in the long run because if you didn't spend those resources you would get it for free in the time it takes to get the first 5 credits.

You are like a guy who sees $3 cash back (on every $100 spent) and thinks he can get rich by spending a million dollars because that's like $3000 cash!

$30,000*

Do you really want to go down this path, my friend?

I take this as a yes.

YA DIPSTICK

You fags are the most pathetic bunch Ive seen on this board.

That´s cute as fuck.

Reminds me of a video suggesting new Heroes for Overwatch and one of them was a female Husky that could grab health packs and give them to the team, as well as run extra fast and climb walls, tackle people or howl for damage boost to everyone nearby

The design for her looked pretty great and it would be a neat Support character that played in a very different way.

Overwatch is a game? I thought it was a porn album.

ON
THE
POINT.
YA HALF-WITS

But would she have a laser on her back?

If only
Then again, the porn excuse was the reason why most of these faggots settled here and why this shit game was being shilled months before its release date with barely any struggle from most users here.

you realize the credits you get for dupes are based on a percentage of the items credit price? if you sat on your ass to unlock them as drops youd have more credits over all.

...

Which is low.

You are all ignoring the fact that the only thing you can spend the credits on are the items you'll be unlocking anyway. That's the only utility they have. And besides a super rare chance of just getting a pile of credits in your loot box, a chance so low its really negligible, duplicates are the only way to acquire credits.

Consider this:
There is an RNG that every hour will throw out a card value from a standard deck of cards. The RNG spits out the card value and you collect the card. If you happen to already have that card you get a chip which when you have enough of them you can exchange them to grab a card, any card you can afford, outside of the constraints of the timer and RNG.
Now the object of this game is to eventually have every single card.

Already you can consider there is a built in bias by the card populations alone. You are far more likely to draw a numerical value card (2 through 10) than you are a face value (Jack, Queen, King, Ace). And of course multiply that by 4 and you have 1 in 4 chance on top of that to get a duplicate of the same suit.
Now lets take it a step further:
Lets give our RNG further biases. Let us give it a bias between Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces so that even beyond the sheer numerical factor there is also a reduced chance of getting those items between each other. the RNG is more likely to pick a Jack than a Queen, more likely to pick a Queen than a King, King than an Ace.

Now for the first few generations of this game you're almost guaranteed all unique hits. Of course, the more you go along the more likely it is that you'll hit a duplicate. When you do, you'll get some chips but you'll never get enough chips to buy the same card you got a duplicate from. So lets go roughly by the values of the overwatch unlocks.

so numerical value cards can be bought for 25 chips. Returns 5 on duplicate.
Jacks can also be bought for 25 chips but they are rarer to unlock overall. Returns 10 on duplicate.
Queens can be bought for 50 chips. Returns 15 on duplicate.
Kings can be bought for 75 chips. returns 20 on duplicate.
Aces can be bought for 100 chips, returns 25 on duplicate.

Now you can save up your duplicate hits, which are almost always going to come from the number value cards, and you can go ahead and buy that Ace since its so rare. So rare in fact that the chances of getting one from the unlocks is so small that buying it is a far quicker solution However, say your very next unlock turn gives you a duplicate ace? Well, you can now buy a jack or a number value outright but you have sunk 1000 chips into something that only returned 25 and may never do so again.

The only strategy that makes sense here is to spend your chips going up the value ladder.
You are always going to be far more likely to pull a number value card before you are ever going to be likely to pull a face card. The sooner you complete the deck at that tier of value/probability, the more likely it is you will be getting chips which can then be spent towards the higher valued and far more rare cards.
Its the difference between weeks vs months of trying to hack away at this unlocking pool.

Now you take all of that shit that you probably didn't read and you multiply it by 22 (the amount of characters in overwatch) and there you have it.

Reinhardt´s damage is still superior because of his range.

thats so much bullshit that im starting to believe you

Do you expect me to believe a smithing hammer can do the same damage as a war hammer?

Is this your strategy of unlocking everything? It doesn't seem all that great if you only want one or two things for most characters.

It´s not the size that matters :^)

Oh let's continue on.
So in Overwatch's case I have 22 different decks to deal with but say I only actually like maybe 6 of them?
That leaves 16 different decks to random unlock chance that I don't actually give any sort of fuck about.
The unlocks on those 16 others would better serve me as credits because I could use those towards the 6 that I actually do give a fuck about.

So after I've got the spray pools for the 6 that I care about, I go after the spray pools of the ones I don't give a fuck about. Meanwhile, other shit is still unlocking.
After the spray pools are done, then it makes sense to just finish the unlocks up the value/rarity ladder for one of the 6 I give a shit about, then move on to the next.
After that, who gives a fuck about the rest other just for the sake of completion?

well yeah. Of course this all falls apart if you're only after a hand full of items.

What is your MMR

SOLO QUEUE only. Forgot that part. Dont answer if you dont primarily solo queue

Did Roadhog get nerfed?

2945 atm

what is that site

OpenOffice Calc
I have a keyboard script that fills the middle field (wich maths the gain/loss) and just type in everything else.
I started it on a huge winstreak that pushed be from 2500 to 3000, but I did drop back down.

I actually haven't found a single website that manages to give you a simple match history.

Who the fuck made this chart?

Who wants to fuck the gremlin?

...

This picture always looks really painfull to me.

I'll give it this, it probably requires a lot more thinking than the rest of the game.

Are you asian?

Mark Hamil was never a good joker.
Junkrat's actor would be better

EXCUSE ME BITCH

German

...

Pure P O T T E R Y

Is the MMR weighted less heavily if your faggot teammate leaves at the end of round 1?

Close enough.

He's shit. Just like in Star Wars. Awful actor.

But you're the one who likes Mark Hamil.

A bot that analyzed all play statics on a non-official site and produced a completely unbiased report on the requirements for each hero to be actually good.

Your mathemical model actually makes perfect sense, the fastest and most economic way to finish the entire collection is to always buy the more common elements and keep filling upwards.

However, do keep in mind that you're talking about "adquiring everything" which most likely isn't the case for everyone. Skins, for instance, are something you'll want only one per Hero in favour of all others and quite possibly not even for all heroes.
If you had 1000 Credits to spend, you could buy sprays and other low tier cosmetics and eventually reach the skin you wanted, but that takes far longer than just buying the skin now.

So if you already got everything you wanted, sure. Go buy every low tier cosmetic. But if there's still something you want to put some priority now, best to save for it and get it now.

You share a board with Dwarven Fortress, Grand Strategy and RTS fans, did you seriously though everyone here was that casual about liking videogames?

Jesus I think we played the same match.

Ranked has been suffering lately because I can't escape the 2000-2300 range, which is where all of the shitters are stuck at because so many players are ranked "high" enough to think they're good and not need to change tactics, but ranked low enough to not understand concepts like team balancing and counters. 2500 and up is amazing but I can't make enough wins to recover my losing streaks and break out of this gold-range hellhole.

Some gems as of late:
Thanks, fucker, we might've won the match if you weren't such a little bitch.

Below rank 2500 is suffering.

That bot is retarded, it doesn't take into consideration the player skill level at all, comparative to High, and low.

I'm guessing it just takes a look at the abilities.

...

How cute the Overcuck Blizzdrone thinks his opinions matter

well yeah. Everything falls apart when you put human desire in the way.

By "invest this much thought" do you mean like the time I took to explain my position on the best method for the quickest route to unlocking everything?
Or are you referring to just the method itself? As if it took serious time and thought?

Because if its the first one I guess I have some sort of autism when it comes to putting up proofs for my math.
If its the second one then I feel sorry for you because that sort of thing is something you should learn in grade school.
If not in a math class then by life experience.

Yes, but because you will be 6v5 the entire rest of the game, you will get stomped a bit hard, and you will have a "horrible game for your current rank" so you will lose close to the same, or you might even lose more if you believe most complains (Because you played worse than you should, because you had one less teammate, and it's your fault for playing worse than usual).

In reality, it just counts how many hours in average takes to "master the hero", aka reaching the current meta of the hero, the average playtime and some other small shit and just gives out a value.

Regardless of what you say, you'll always be jealous of our fun. And that will always be a fact.

I think you're mistaken with that.
Their fun is entirely in shitposting and trolling and whatever else you call what they do.
They likely don't even play video games.

...

Overwatch's box system is a metaphor for human greed as told by a kike company. Beautifull.

He means actually trying to form a mathematical model that outputs how fast you can unlock everything based on the order you buy those things.
That it's stupid to care about those things when you should just play the game and buy what you want go play something else other than this meme game.

In his defense, it's really not something that basic, the idea that you unlock everything faster by sticking with the very low items first. Someone could be inclined to believe it evens out since rarer items are rarer and you'd get any of the common ones faster before the one you want.

It all comes down to the return value for each item purely, with the common items actually having a much better return value than the rarer ones and everything else is a natural conclusion from that, but the concept of return value isn't the first thing that comes to people's minds when starting to solve a problem like this.

No, they do. Day of Defeat and Project Reality actually, other games like that as well. Some even play Doom and will tell you that you should play it 100 times over and over again instead of trying out Overwatch.

It's just your standard fare of super realistic military shooter fans that can't handle science fiction and sperg out at it.

I am curious, what games you like to play?

it's just your standard fare of super realistic military shooter fans that can't handle science fiction and sperg out at it.

The thing is we're here talking about a game you like. Instead of playing a game you like, you come here to tell us that you don't like the game. It's a bit of a sad story when you think about it. Is everything okay in your life?

we like

Oh, you play a game that hasn't even come out yet? Cool story bro!

Tell me more about the tanks and the machineguns and the infantry and the airplanes and how none of that ever featured in a military shooter.

I guess that explains MMO players now.

I used to do that but I stopped because at some point it became far too meta.

I began to consider how using Quick Saves to explore a level without regards for resources and Quick Load for a perfect route afterwards was a more effective way to play the game at the cost of more IRL time. Second playthroughs are also a neat way to see more content but they cost you extra IRL time.

And then I considered my life expectancy and how I'm considering how I am trading that time for faster\optimal progressions in a virtual world whose only return is a drop of a chemical in my brain every now and then.

Now every victory and every achievement playing videogames feels hollow as fuck and it's one of the reasons I don't care much about competitive or pretending to be hardcore.
Ultimately, the best outcome you can get from videogames is fun (money for professional gamers isn't a realistic expectation) and gambling it away only to become those raging retards that think they should get 100% winrate simply isn't worth it.

Games that arent full of Tumblrdykes, Blizzcucks and Redditors and actually take skill.

Why are you here?
Go play Overbotch and stop spreading your cancer here.

What does that have «anything to do with a game that hasnt been released yet?

Why does it matter?
You complained about some people here not liking Sci Fi, I proved you wrong with more than one example
But I guess the standart Blizzmix of cartoony magic and scifi tech tahts been done 3 thousand times before is better right?

Wow, now thats meta!
How about playing some games that are number crunching pieces of shit instead of being a fucking casual MMO/ASSFAGGOTS/CRAPCUNTS addict?

You gave me anedotal evidence about yourself, that's all you did. Unless you speak for everyone else, as you seem to think you do.

You also mentioned you played Shadow Warrior 2, a game that hasn't even come out yet.
It makes me think if you really play any of those 5 games or you just grabbed random thumbnails of games that look like they don't fit my description just to prove me wrong.

Face it. You don't like videogames. Picked up the hobby from peer pressure, realized you're doing something that you don't really like and are now trying to fit in by hating on shit.
Why are you even here? And I'm not even talking about THIS thread. I mean the board itself. If you're having trouble finding a thread you like, tell me what vidya you like and I'll point you to the right thread. It's easy for me to do so because the catalog even has a search function! Fucking amazing, ain't it?

And planetside 2 IS indeed generic mil-sim stuff, only with less realism, less autism and a simple fresh coat of "sci-fi lite" to pretend it's not the typical cod-reash.
Guess what fucktard, you can slap a LED on a an AUG, it doesn't make it a laser rifle.

The other guy has an excuse. He's german.
What's your excuse?

What is this, fucking reddit?
Stop your stupid bullshit and talk about the game or shut up.
Alternatively go tip somewhere else.

Examples please.

Am I making you depressed, user? I'd like to say I'm sorry but I really am not.
Shitposting has even less return value than virtual victories and if that makes you depressed, at least you were lucid enough to realize that fact, instead of keeping on baiting people for "le salt XD" and spending your time on earth like that.

I still like playing videogames, and I love incredibly complex ones where I can interact with a lot of different systems or build whatever the fuck I want. I love 4X games with the city building and the diplomacy for instance.
I just don't really much care about a victory screen telling me I am the very best because it's meaningless, I didn't really won anything, I just lost some of my life to that game.

This shifted my priorities and now I can have fun in a bunch of different ways that I previously couldn't. Like fucking with people using espionage in any 4X, something that is likely to make me lose the game but it's always hilarious to pull off. Or playing a support, something that doesn't give me instant gratification with the kills but let's me help other people and have fun with them.
I still try to win as much as possible, I just don't get that upset when I lose or that excited when I win.

He did post 5 games up there:
And as far as I know, none of those games have that kind of problems. Maybe SW2, but that remains to be seen as it hasn't even been released yet. (seriously nigger, couldn't you have picked a thumbnail for the first one? Or Hard Reset?)

Do you ven use this board user?

When?
There was no such thing, Im personally looking foward for it and many others as well due quantity of posts on some threads and thats it

Yes user, I just searched Sci Fi games on Google, thats why there is Halo, Destiny and Mass Effect on my posts.

To remind you that you and your cancer dont belong here Reddit

Guess what fucktard, you can slap a LED on a an AUG, it doesn't make it a laser rifle.
When did I ever deny that Blizzcuck?
Its SciFi, you said people just dont like SciFi, and I gave you an example of a SciFi game that gets general threads here

I dont need excuses, I simply dont play them

Xonotic, EDF 4.1, Project Reality

Planetside is full of Redditors, but only if you play as Vanu
And thanks for helping Bethesda rape Quake

Are most of those single player games then?

Nice strawman, I never mentioned most people do that. It's know it's just you and 2 or 3 other triggered fags that come here.

If you didn't played it, why did you posted an image of it to prove that you play more than just mil-sim games?
I'm looking forward to it as well, but why would you use an unreleased game as an example, when you could have used the first one, or even Hard Reset by the same company? That just makes it seem you never played the first, or Hard Reset and you're going on hype alone here, completely unaware of what the game is, you just heard it has demons and katanas and therefore it's not a mil-sim.

You're looking forward to a game because there are a lot of posts about it? That's enough for you? Why haven't you bought Overwatch then?

Weak.

Xonotic barely gets players, it's so dated graphicaly that it's actually a problem and the gameplay is barely an improvement over Quake to warrant changing to that.

EDF is considered a low budget copy paste game where they re-use assets from the previous iteraction all the time and has no polish whatsoever. It's fun to squash giant bugs, but if that's your standard for quality…

Project Reality is a realistic mil-sim, thanks for proving my point.

They just took a lesson taught to them by modders from TES: everything is better with rape.

No, all of those have multiplayer
With 3 of them having competitive multiplayer components

TL;DR

Shorter than:
But I guess anything that makes you look retarded is too much for your brain to handle :^)

Most of it was nonsensical garbage due to your own stupidity and lack of reading comprehension.
But Ill tell you what I did read

It still gets full servers on the weekends and gets pretty comfy without having retards holding you back because everyone is either a veteran or there are no teams

So you've never played EDF then?
Good
Stay the fuck away from it casualshit you wouldnt get past the first missions last wave without giving up.

What point?
That you're a fucking casual Redditor that cant into IDs or games that actually require teamwork?

Oh yeah, almost forgot pic related because you dumb huelands are more stupid than a Guano bag.

EDF isn't that hard and i'm baffled by why its held in such high esteem on Holla Forums.
Maybe because its got that camp value of being in a japanese giant monster movie. But that's about it.

If you are trying to "buy everything" the most logical thing to do is to wait until you have exactly the number of credits required to buy all of the items you do not already own. Buying them in advance does not reduce the chances of getting them as a duplicate, and if you get a duplicate you only receive 20% of what you spent. The other 80% is effectively lost forever, any further duplicates of that same item would have given you the same 20% credit regardless of whether you bought or opened it.

You get a better value buy randomly receiving the item, but the fewer new items there are the less likely you are to get one you don't already have. In order to maximize value and minimize time spent acquiring them, it would be best to buy items only when you can guarantee you will NOT receive a duplicate in the future (before your goal anyway).

So you've never played it beyond Normal?

Trips

Now damniut

C'mon man you're going so far out of your way to reply to shitposts that now you're shitting on perfectly good games just to get back at the faggot. Xonotic and EDF are both pretty good.

Too bad hes never played him in his life
He wastes all his time on shitty timesinks like this garbage and hops in the next fad as soon as the previous one dies.

You still think its like that?

EYE is sort of OK as an FPS/RPG (frankly it's just a poor imitation of dues ex or system shock 2), but don't kid yourself that it takes any sort of skill (it is an RPG after all). Multiplayer is coop focused, and I really doubt you could find anyone to play with short of setting things up through Holla Forums.

Unreal Tournament is great of course. Next to Quake that sort of goes without saying. Problem there again is population. If you can't find people to play with anywhere near your level (whether too high or too low doesn't matter) it just doesn't fill the void. I'd love to relive the days where I could jump into a UT2k4 or even UT3 CTF/VCTF match and actually play the game seriously, but they are long gone.

Planetside 2 is P2W MMO trash. I guess these days faggots will defend anything that isn't exclusive pay-only power, but literally any purchasable advantage no matter how small or niche puts a game into the P2W category. How anyone could tolerate freemium bullshit at any level and shit on a game like Overwatch that puts everyone on a perfectly even level is beyond me. Even if it weren't for the P2W crap, Planetside 2 is still just a garbage zergfest. Rare that you will ever actually win anything based on skill at all.

I don't know anything about Deathwing and Shadow Warrior 2 other than the fact that they aren't out yet. That kind of makes them non-options.

Why do you faggots want to play with shit tier pubbies so much?
I though you played this garbage with friends?

why is there no porn of it

Because its garbage

Whatever the hardest setting you can play out of the box is what I played it at.
Its what I play all my games at (when given the option) unless there is some sort of perma-death clause on the difficulty level.

Yes, Im sure of it
You finished your first playtrough on Inferno

Normalfags get out etc.

Well no. After the first few levels I kind of forgot about it and went on to other games.

Again, I'm not saying its bad but it just didn't hold my attention and I have to wonder why its given such high praise on Holla Forums.

...

It's like she doesn't even want to charge her res.

What a sad pathetic being

>Its like a game stuck in 6th Gen
Yeah, I also fucking wonder that sometimes

Why do you like Overbotch and have never played EDF 4.1 again?

really didn't get any of that from EDF 4.1
Maybe it has the interesting shit in the later levels?

And maybe FFXIII is the greatest game ever made if you can slog through the 20 to 30 hours worth of shit.

Things I guess I will never know first hand.

what in the fuck?

Environmental kills are really heavily weighted in the POTG algorithm.

Was the McCree using his ult by any chance? Knocking an ulting charater into a pit is almost a guranteed POTG.

Like says, environmental kills are weighted REALLY heavy. Anytime you get 2 knockoffs in a 10 second window you are almost guaranteed to get POTG.

You've never played the game user, you're not even trying.

Tell your friends to fuckoff already user

almost every Holla Forumsfag i've gotten out of these threads have stop playing after one night of playing with

Nope. Mcree just showed up and fell in. I didnt even use my ult if that changes things.

Thats dumb. The RoadHogs were hooking in most of them.

Nah.

Yeah maybe I didn't really play it. I mean, after the first couple of levels of fighting giant ants I really didn't give much more of a fuck.

I'm sorry that your favorite game couldn't hold my attention.

Just like every normalfag fad game much like this one.
Blizzard still thanks you for buying it and letting little Johnny have its turn at killing you.

I guess being a retarded normalfag that influenced by peer preassure also works.

Yes, Im sure you did
You obviously dont like videogames then.

pocket healers are generally dumb as shit

I guess. Me and the friend are trying to find a good game to play cooperatively. We went Payday 2, Killing Floor 1 and 2, and now to overwatch. Which seems to provide an okay experience.

OK i'm planning on getting this game when it is a little cheaper, is there anything a new user should know before getting into the game?

Tell them to fuckoff and go play something thats not complete arse.
And you're still falling for peer preassure?
You're one dumb motherfucker Ill tell you that much.
If I was as dumb as you I would have paid for a 60 dollar spaceship.jpeg and the OG Early Access survival scam.

1.Its shit
2.You're not fooling anyone

...

Most healers are generally dumb as shit because nobody ever calls them out. Not like you have something like accuracy or kills to judge them by.

I'm one to judge only because I play a crazy good mercy. Can't really Lucio for shit though.

Consider suicide my man

Widow is useless
Hanzo's hitboxes are huge
Genji counters Bastion's bullshit
Roadhog is not a tank
Push the fucking payload

>Doom is "super realistic military shooter" and not sci-fi
This is the type of cancer that festers and grows in these threads.

How to distinguish it from food. If you can figure that out you'll be head of the curve for overwatch players.

Uploading my latest 3 matches for people to judge my every move and call me a scrub.

Oh I'm sure it's not that bad

I wish I had a faster upload rate, because half the pain is not getting on with it ASAP, I lost all three.

Usually when I'm playing support, I stick with Ana, trying to heal everyone like I'm trying to team kill them so I can get them healed as soon as possible (or at the very least, be in the thick of it while primarily healing and throwing the grenade to either keep myself alive and/or others alive and hope I get an enemy with it). I tend to focus a bit more on tanks (and depending on the tank, give them nano boost) to try and keep them in the fight so the rest of my team's not getting shredded alive by the enemy team (provided the tanks realize they're being healed and don't try to run off to heal somewhere else). If we have someone else playing healing support, I'll still heal, but put more focus on dwindling the enemy team's health and get some sleep darts in on their tanks or whoever's about to ult. Rarely use the scope since there's no headshots with Ana, only for when I'm providing covering fire/healing.

Used to play mercy when playing support, but felt too vulnerable and useless even with the res ult when I played as her compared to Ana. With Ana I feel like I can dish out and help out at the same time.

maybe

I can't really aim and I'm REALLY good at using Guardian Angel to fuck with anyone trying to go for me. Even Winston has a hard time keeping a lock on me.

No, I'm not. Xonotic is good, much like any other old school shooter. But that's the problem, why would anyone change from Quake or UT to Xonotic? What does it do different and better that warrants the change?
Being good isn't enough when you have competition and a legacy, you have to be better.
And while I consider Xonotic good, I don't consider it better.

EDF is campy and fun, I liked flying around with the Winged Sluts and the support class gives me an Imperial Guard, plus I can nuke whole buildings and fight against a massive amount of bugs and flying saucers.

But it's a very low budget game and it shows in the geometry of every asset and how much they reuse shit. Animations are kinda garbage too for the bugs, the threads look lame and you move way too fucking slowly unless you're abusing animation canceling with the Fencer.

EDF is fun but to call it good is quite a stretch. You compare it to a musou game, and you're only a little bit better.

You should have seen the Destiny general by the same faggots then.

Didn't claimed that Doom was that shit, you got two different posts and mashed them together.
You either have people that only enjoy mil-sim games and sperg at anything unrealistic or those that insist that you must play nothing but the classics like Quake or Doom over and over again because nothing can ever be better than them.
Which is bullshit because even Quake was improved with Threeway.

This is the video that featured her as a concept.
It also has an indian guy using a massive bong as a weapon.

people put healers on pedestals because theyre afraid of not getting healed out of spite, and they dont want to play healers themselves so they just kind of leave them alone and encourage them with meaningless upvotes.

...

Hanzo and Widowmaker aren't bad, though I usually wouldn't want them both at the same time and they are probably horrible at your rank.

Open Source, every kind of weapons that can be modded by the users, grappling hooks, some of the best maps of the genre.
Muh brand name
Muh graphics
Its supposed to work that way retardo, its not a fucking glitch
So you've never played the game and dont know shit about 40K lore?
Good to know

Now I know you've never played it
This has never happened here, do you go outside this containmment thread?

How and why are you not a normalfag casual from Reddit, again?

At the top levels they are the least picked.

The current pro meta that is unbeatable is 3 tanks, ana and mercy/lucio

They aren't, but when someone switches to them mid-game over something to balance or help push forward, it gets infuriating

At the top levels both Hanzo AND Widowmaker are picked. The popular mutation of the 3x3 meta is to swap Zenyatta for Hanzo. I don't know about recent, but I know there are certain tourny players who insist on going Widow.

The least common are things like sym, torb, bastion etc

They aren't bad, but they suffer from the same problem Bastion does, only it's even worse but more subtle for them.

They are highly specialized characters that have a specific way to play, one that your opponents can quickly adapt and play against it.
They are also fragile characters, easy to kill in short range and a lot of Heroes can close the distance (Tracer, Genji, Reaper) or negate all they can do (Dva, Winston, Reinhart)
However, they are even worse than Bastion since they take a bit more skill to aim and Reinhart or similar negates far more every damage they can cause.

They can work, but you gotta flank a lot more as Hanzo and keep very mobile and changing spots as either of them, not to mention have your team support you and you supporting your team.
But you compare that to tossing a Winston there or a Soldier shooting from neaby, and you're better served.
Unless you're one of those Koreans that doesn't miss a shot.

I didn't do shit, you grouped "people that like project reality" and "people that like doom" in the second part of your post as "people that like military shooters and hate sci-fi". You didn't make the distinction in your closing statement.

And that doesn't change the fact that you're literally using the same deflection that FO4 fans yelled during the salt party when people shit on the game.

If someone picks either of them in comp, if the player is any less than very good, then you can consider your team down a player.

Its ok though, Mark bought this one

This is quite possibly the best way to describe it.

I once started a match on King's Row as Widow and got a fair amount of kills from the window up top.
Then I got to see my team casually strolling by, finishing a few stragglers in a 5v3 fight and get the point.

But in another match, I kept missing every shot and had a lot of trouble with their sniper.
Everyone on my team was complaining about "too many people on the point!" and I knew that they were having a hard time cracking the point because I was being a dead weight that match.

Widow yes. Hanzo is almost to the point where he's just a better McCree. Free kills with scatter arrow, spam down a hall even if you can't aim, and if you can aim you 1 shot.

Only if you're really good, plus mcree having that flash is pretty important versus, tracers/genjis, and it's just good in general.
The majority of players can't 1v1 effectively with hanzo against flankers. So I'd much rather have a mcree on my team since
I'm fairly confident hitting a flash and left clicking the head or even just right clicking is achievable by most of players at my level.

I don't really know how much skill it takes either way since I can't play either of them. I do know that a flash on Genji does absolutely nothing to make him an easier shot because he's always mid-air. Tracer should be just as easy to take out with Scatter and I believe it's easier to 1 shot a genji with logzo than to 2-shot with McCree with headshots, especially given that Genji's pop deflect the instant they take damage, not usually before.

McCree and Hanzo are BOTH hard to use well and you really probably shouldn't play either AT ALL below plat at the very least.

post more Mei

Isn't funny that the people constantly tossing around Reddit and other buzzwords want to turn this place into Reddit via eliminating a thread for something they don't like?

I mean they're trolls, intelligence isn't their strong suit but still, its really something to see people this stupid and dense.

He's shitposting the paladin threads to with the same pictures, so not only is he retarded he literally has nothing better to do.

t. Freddit Breddit, Redditor Gold

I swear I've NEVER seen a pornstar with that exact bodytype in my 10 years of watching porn.

me neither, sadly

full screen titties

noice

miss me yet?

i think mei should run around in her underwear in maps with a hotter climate. but maybe her blizzdrone keeps her cool.

The shitposting pornstar Angela White comes pretty close

...

First of 3 horrible matches.

Just finished watching your attack phase. You are a LOT better than I expected for your rank, at least mechanically. You might be having some trouble keeping track of/noticing when your fire strike is off cooldown, but that's about all I noticed mechanically.

For comparison, other people I've seen in low-silver literally cannot move and aim, and will take up to 3 seconds to even notice they are being shot at from the side. Tunnel vision, slow reactions, and poor motor skills. I'm not seeing that here (though you were confused about a sentry your reaper killed).

Strategically you make a lot of questionable calls. You are playing EXTREMELY selfishly as Reinhardt. Often you are either alone or just shielding an area where your allies wouldn't be able to shoot from. Considering your rank and the fact your teammates probably can't shoot anyway I sort of understand why you would do that, but I still think it's wrong. Probably the first thing I noticed was you trying to take the flanking door, something that is literally NEVER done with Reinhardt at any higher rank.

There was also where you Earthshattered at the enemy Reinhardt shield. You know it doesn't go through that right? Not like you would be the first Rein to do it thinking there would be an opening though.

You might not have the teamwork or coordination for high ranks, it's hard to say though when your team at that rank is incapable of communicating for the most part and probably won't listen no matter what you do.

Actually looking at it a second time, you never ONCE looked at the scoreboard screen (press tab). There is a TON of useful information there. You get to see who on each team is dead, who on your team has ults, and the composition of both teams. You can also see immediately when one of the enemys switches character.

One of the reasons I'm mentioning this is that I realized I don't even know what your own team comp was let alone the enemy.

Ok I couldn't even sit through the defense half. You are trying to use DVa as a sniper. You instantly fail forever.

DVa's guns have a HUGE damage dropoff. As soon as you are more than about 10 meters away from a target they only tickle. It's good for getting elims by "tagging" enemies but it doesn't actually help your team in any way.

Worse, you were the only tank, but you were playing far back where you couldn't actually protect anybody. I don't like that your team was so far forward, but you NEED to protect them wherever they decide to play. The way you were playing you only protected yourself.

Added annotations since the microphone wasn't recorded, I was calling them in a few instances to get to a safe zone, and yes, very bad D.Va play in that one, not so much sniping as just trying to fire from high ground and pressure some of them, I have to admit it was very bad, feels bad when I play on self-preservation but I get it, I wanted to do Rein but decided against it because I seemed to get pinned a little too much and died in an instant.

Going through more of it. Solder ults and you throw your meka at him. It might have scared him off but the best way to deal with that as DVa is to fly into his face and right click (defensive matrix). It will block him from being able to hurt anyone on your team.

Not just your high ground (and don't forget the "not protecting your team"), in several other cases you try to shoot people from really far away even while on the ground. DVa's effective range is roughly double Reinhardt's hammer swings, and that's it.

If you are trying to use voice, fist thing you want to do is check the voice channel (I think it's P by default but I have it changed so I'm not sure) and see if the team is even in there at all. Also if you tell them to group up you can't just charge in without stopping. Granted they were already in there and best thing would have been to pull out and regroup, but it's still not helping.

This is 10 meters. Any further and the damage droppoff is severe. Closer is better because more of your shots will land on target (and you can even try to get headshots), but further is only good for finishing off a very wounded enemy. Mostly as DVa you are going to want to boost right into someones face (boost does damage, try to end with a melee attack too), and then blast them there, although sometimes you can fight "on the line", which is good for sustained damage to, for example, break a reinhardts shield, while also positioning you to block things with your Defensive Matrix and protect your team.

Completely forgot about that, I use to be annoying as D.Va but I think I was kind of demoralized by that point.

I'll be posting more, I know is painful to watch but people have been asking me to do it.

Also, noted, thanks.

I have a large problem with nobody responding to group-up calls or using any kind of communication in general. Too many times have I just randomly been ubered by ana without any word of warning or a reason, only for it to end right as the enemy groups up or I suddenly die cause they think ana's ult heals people.

Another.
Trigger Warning, I use Torbjorn on Defense

So far your Symmetra play is actually pretty decent mechanically again. Again you are paying absolutely no attention to your team comp and situation (press tab goddammit). You REALLY should have noticed the junkrat at the end though, you saw him when he jumped down, you saw where his ult came from, then you turned your back to him anyway and got destroyed.

Strategically I'm not sure about turret placements but I don't know where to place those anyway, I'm not a sym player. I would have tried to harrass their frontal push with orbs rather than running around to put turrets in the back (which you were a little too slow on anyway) but again, I don't play Sym that's just how I see it done. Probably stick the back turrets up first and then get the front ones in between orbs on the front line. Considering how you were able to work over their flankers though (and reinhardt, that's kind of impressive) maybe you made the right call afterall.

meant to quote

My Symm is more or less effective, sadly I couldn't dare to use her on attack if I want the team to take me seriously, then I don't use Torb in this one I guess, is the other video.

Your zenyatta defense, now here's a character I actually have some serious time on. After your extremely slow switch from junkrat (time is critical at this point), you did very well cleaning up but got overconfident. Should have backed off from the Dva and let the team finish. You came in with transcendence but the fight was already over so it was wasted.

After that, I see lots of low/critical health people you are very slow to react to if you react at all. The Mercy especially, the second healer should be your number 1 priority for healing at any point. Wasted another transendence for I have no idea what reason.

I'm pretty sure you lost that defense though solely because of the DVa ult. Other than avoiding it yourself there's honestly nothing you could have done about that. I blame your reinhardt.

dont actually do this, cancel boost and fire just before you hit them unless your goal is to disorient them with a bump.
meleeing them used to do more damage, but at 25 damage its not worth interrupting a second of shooting when you dont even have to reload your weapon

That D.Va ult wiped the entire team, sadly I didn't take cover soon enough.

The boost+Melee will be an instant 55, plus they will be disoriented and still close enough to shoot. It's generally a much faster kill unless you are extremely confident in your ability to land every shot with mostly headshots.

I'm not really much of a DVa player though, the real point is to get close range.

losing 130 health by unloading on them will also disorient them. if you bump in to them they know it was a dva because of the sound, and they know where you came from because of the direction they were tossed in.

On to your Ana play, offensively you seemed to do pretty well but I think you needed to pay more attention to your team's health. I want to know why you didn't even try to sleep dart the Mei who was freezing you (first death).

As for Mercy, lots of opportunities to dodge forward. Don't be afraid to get near the front and then leap back again (but then maybe you don't have that kind of skill yet, I might be TOO good at Mercy to be giving advice, like a pro McCree who just says "it's easy, just headshot everything"). Also I'm guessing you heard the assist ding and thought the Reinhardt you were shooting at died when it was actually a delayed assist on the bastion kill

I was trying to boost Rein instead, but got frozen before it registered, desperation I guess, forgot about the sleep dart right there.

And yes, I thought that enemy Rein was dead, my Rein should have tried to finish him, hell, he could have called me for heals, I guess that's what TAB is for as you say.

I'm queuing up for a game now, if you post your last one it will be a little while before I get to it.

NP, it will take a while to get uploaded, have fun, also, any suggestions on where to map the quick melee? I have it on middle mouse but it doesn't feel well and V is very awkward.

I have a specialty keypad that works pretty well so I don't really know. I think I would try MB4 if you have one in a good place.

I have a Logitech G300s, got 2 buttons on each side next to the usual mouse buttons, the upper ones are Q and E, the lower ones are º and M, I tried putting melee there but they don't feel quite right for that.

don't know what to say. I have a deathadder, I buy them specifically because I like the positioning of the side buttons. MB4 is so well positioned it's as easy as rmb

I'll have to find a way then, it was easy when other games allowed me to use E for example, I could remap the Ability 2 and use E for melee, not sure if I can transition that easily but I barely use the keys themselves.

That's a combo of a shitty player and a shit Ana.

Rebinding F would probably make more sense

You mean the "MEDIC" key? well, I think that's the one I use, but it would be interesting since I could just move it onto my number keys that I use for comms.

while people have commented on this, that dva play was terrible and you absolutely contribute in the matches being horrible. if I didn't know any better, I'd think you played like this out of sheer malice and spite for your own team. your "self-preservation" tactic worked because even at this level, the enemy team realized that you're absolutely not a threat. you ult simply to make the ulting soldier back off instead of using your shield to nullify his entire ult, not that he was in a great position anyway. you might have been able to stop the enemy team from getting some of the kills on the zarya ult as well using the shield.

You are completely right, except on the spiteful behavior, at least not on a conscious level, none of my best D.Va plays at all.

Last one for now, and this one is where I defend with Torb, so I know people won't like it.

Also, in that one I do very badly at Rein for a lot, mostly because I was asking people to get to any of the side rooms while I was shielding, again, nobody seemed to listen, so I decided to jump in, sadly it wasn't enough to disrupt the enemy so my teammates would be able to join in time.

Other than maybe charging in without your team, and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that they should have been able to follow you, the only major mistakes with your Rein play are when you failed to finish of the stunned junkrat, failed to block the DVa ult right after, and solo-ulted the reaper. It sounds bad but really they are all normal-ish mistakes that higher level players make all the time, except the junkrat in your stun no reason you should have missed that.

The Torb wasn't a good choice of course. Your team was 2 defense heroes, 1 tank and 1 healer when you locked in Torb, you ended up playing with only 1 healer in the end and 0 offense heroes which means 0 precision damage. You actually made Torb work surprisingly well for what it's worth though. I think you already know the exact moment you failed and lost the round with that.

When it comes to Rein I tend to solo ult some specific targets like Genji when he ults, same with Soldier, depends on the potential IMO.

Didn't that guy go to prison over having cheese pizza?

Yes, the Genji would have been a good target for a solo ult, NOT the reaper who had already used his ult. That's why it was so bad, you solo ulted the Reaper for basically no reason and then got fucked by the Genji ult right after.

I was hoping to hear you say where you failed with Torb. Simply put: you waited too long on molten core and let your turret die first. If you had had your turret up while you were in Molten Core you would have wiped or at least denied anyone trying to get in, which would have saved that engagement.

I notice you haven't played any offense heroes. I imagine Pharah is pretty much unstoppable at that level.

I actually didn't even notice how much damage the turret was taking, I'll see what I do in the next matches, will record some, other than that I don't even recall why I ulted that reaper, hell, I don't remember a Reaper in that match.

mah boi

does it count if you sage?

does it count if you're a faggot, faggotron?

Mei is not fat. She´s obese

Hey cbec41, I just flew over the thread (lotta posts happening, neat) and you do say you're a mercy main.
Wanna give some tips? I main her myself and I guess hovering at 2,9k with rising tentencies isn't bad, but I know I can and do improve.

To my shame, I only recently figured out I can cancel Guardian Angel midair.

Reminder you may play with people just like this.

not that guy but once i figured out my life is worth nothing i figured i might as well spread pain and suffering. that said i got aids and probably passed it to a hundred something

Not being rude, but I hope you fucking die soon tbh fam.
Also I tried out Overwatch on console and I think most of the players on there are legally braindead or something

Maybe, but apparently the console controls are quite broken due to how horribly programmed the aim assist was, to this date I keep seeing threads asking Blizzard to fix all those issues on consoles.

Reminder that you saved that so you could repost it in OW threads, a game you don't even like.

Talk about tsundere. Just suck my dick already.

This is the first time I've posted in an Overwatch thread for a while, and I'm currently level 107. Maybe you're thinking of someone else buddy.
I stole that from twitter anyways

it's just not on overmeme that consoletards are retarded

Reminder that until either Mei is nerfed or a perfect counter is made for her, this game is cucked beyond belief.

Mei is objectively the weakest character in the game. She's annoying at first, but only until you learn how to not be retarded.

How's the taste of dick, faganon?

There's a reason she has the lowest pick-rate, retard.

Her freezy gun has shit for range, dumbass. Like I said, she's only annoying until you learn to not act retarded.

She also has piss in the way of mobility, and all her heal does is leave time for an angry team of enemies to form around her ready to rape her in every orifice as soon as she hops out.

Her ult was useless before. Like D.Va's it could be stopped by any barrier, now it is at least decent-ish.

If there's a character that needs to be unfucked it's Pharah. Either make her less vulnerable with her ult (which is not even that powerful to compensate being instantly fucked up by hitscan weapons) or stop making her announce it so loudly.

Get in there batdog!

Source.

And don't say your cavernous asshole, which is where you pulled all that misinformation from.

Welp, I won this one, this time I used offensive characters, still not on optimal levels I can imagine, maybe we won because I wasn't the only one with a microphone, also, I think I will divide any future matches because it takes a long time to upload them otherwise.

In regular competitive mode Mei is chosen almost every game right now.

In Tourneys Mei is chosen on 2CP on the final point as part of a point stall tactic. Compared to some heroes who don't see tournament play AT ALL (such as Torbjorn), there's no possible way Mei is the lowest picked.

Halfway through so far, figure I'll write post some things as I see them

First thing I noticed is you aren't reloading whenever you have a safe chance. I saw two in the first 30 seconds of match start.

The MAIN thing is your positioning and (in)ability to use your aerial advantage as Pharah. Pharah's strength is her ability to attack from difficult to counter angles and distances. Unless things are desperate you probably should NOT be fighting directly on the point in King of the Hill. Fight outside where you can get high and still shoot enemies who get on or near the point. Stay in the air and position yourself so that when you run out of fuel you will fall into or near safe cover.

At more advanced levels, Pharah is about taking high ground cover and shooting from there, but at your current level just floating will make you a nearly impossible target.

You aren't using your E very effectively. Keep in mind that it does NO damage. Don't aim it directly at an enemy, aim it for a wall (ideal) or floor (less ideal) some distance from them. The radius is very large and this gives you much more control over where they end up. The main uses (on enemies) are to push them into a corner where their movements will be more predictable, or to knock them off a cliff. The second map you played is perfect for cliff kills right off the point.

You've learned that Tab exists, but I still don't see you using it during the match. When your dead is a great time to check, see how many of your enemy or your teammates are dead. You would have also seen (after the first 30 seconds are up) that one of the enemy hadn't picked a hero and was showing up as a blank ?, so you were literally fighting 5v6 at least the first round (not sure second, havent gotten that far).

I can't give you any advice as McCree. To be completely honest, you are probably better at him than I am, but that's why he has the least playtime of any hero for me.

I wanted to see the Tab screen during any round, never did. I still don't know if you were playing 6v5 the whole time or not, it seems likely. I've said it before it's useful to keep track of who is playing as who on both teams (the enemy team is revealed after the first 30 seconds of a round), who is dead which is EXTREMELY important especially regarding your own team, and who on your team has ultimates. That information is all extremely valuable for knowing when to engage and go balls-deep and when to hold back a bit and try to kill someone from afar or build ult charge, or just wait for group.

You know, range means fuck all if every single objective in the game requires your character to be in the same location to win.

I haven't noticed their Ult status in that screen, have to pay more attention.

It shows up as a blue check mark below a characters portrait (your team only) when they have it ready.

Yep, now I saw that, I am getting the hang of it, gonna post more videos later.

These last matches have been up and downs, needless to say I keep tripping on my own but I have dealt with instant lock players, plus my eternal nightmare, Genji.

LMFAOOOOOOOOO

Found my new thing to post every thread.

XDD ROFLCOPTER!!11!1! LIKE FAM IM LITERALLY CANT BREATHING RITG NOW ZOMG IM SO LAUGH

I dont even give a shit about the loss I'm not fucking putting up with that shit

when do you guys even run in to this kind of crap? ive never seen friendlies, troll meis or anyone who doesnt take the game terribly seriously.

australians are cancer

???

I guess I'm lucky that I only have to deal with people refusing to play anything other than bastion. Which is really fucking annoying by the way.

Fake and gay. literally
Everyone knows healsluts only pick Mercy.
This is just a faggot pretending he plays Overwatch to throw a false positive that everyone is like him.

probably, and or to give a bad name to this mikeyeyez who likely called him out for being bad

>2 1 post till bumplock

What about ana ?

Considering healing people is only half her job and you actually gotta know how to aim, instead of gliding away like a bitch?
Healsluts couldn't stomach a real hero.

it's a comfy life, what can I say?

Continuing with posting matches, I had to reduce the quality to be able to upload more often, still visible, we won this one but I am pretty sure my every move can be still judged.

I´m not a great Overwatch player myself, but these are some mistakes i have seen.

They accidentally pitched down Ana's falling death scream on PTR
clyp.it/t5f41otx

That's a reflex act yes, as for the turrets, not sure, I always try to put them ASAP but the average I can do is 4 before the match begins.

The "panic ult" was not that, I was ulting against Rein to counter his hammer down.

3 TANKS
3 HEALERS

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I hate fags feel like that need to stick strictly to the "meta" and any time you pick someone that the pros don't use you get bitched at.

Unless it is Hanzo, I hope.

Hanzo is used in pro games now, he's pretty good
