I'm kind of a new face around /4am/, but I was introduced to this place by Red. I've been hanging with him and Name for a bit, and they're both really cool guys and I'm happy to be able to get to know you people.

Computers run on 2 types of physical memory.
RAM – Random Access Memory
ROM – Read Only Memory

RAM is kept alive by electricity and stored in card components that only keep memory while the computer is on- this shit is never saved
ROM is memory that stays intact without power that is meant to store instructions and general data.

ROMs typically are referred to as drives like a CD, Cassette taste, Circuit board chip, Hard Disk Drive, Solid State Drive. These things carry the instructions and data that you are concerned about.
For your computer to work, an Operating System runs at startup to give you basically a view into cyber space. Those OS files are located on a primary ROM, usually a HDD or SSD. With this, the drive is declared by the OS as the primary partition- always labeled as the "C:\" drive. The "C:\" drive is always where the OS files that you are currently boot are resides.

I was talking more along the lines of The Illusionist and Les Ventres for the French. As for Russian animation, they did a bunch of great short films during the soviet era.

Yeah that one was kinda sht. It followed the formula to hard and SHAFT didn't make it memorable at all. No plot ever, it was just him trying to get a girl with very weak reasons. Hestia and the gofer girl were the only thing memorable about that show. Most likely would've been more memorable if the ribbon tits thing worked IRL.
Kinda meh as well. Very good job on the action parts and the mind fuckery of it all. Time meta shit is always a fun thing to see. Still has the most dumbest MC ever- but he has balls and honor countering the whole rejection part.
My favorite show that overtook Nichibros after the longest time I've had that as my favorite anime. Also getting that 2nd season next year. I can say it does have it's flaws of not really progressing the story at all and turning into a harem- but it does it much better than other shows. It's fun the whole time while having a light story that could potentially get deeper as it goes on. Still in the process of introducing character though, so I'm waiting on it more.
Solid show, vintagefags say it's great I can't really vouch since I haven't watched it, everyone loves Revvy though.

Again, I don't have a real preference when it comes to genre, as I'll watch anything really. I know that anime filled in pretty much every niche there is, but everything still feels the same, style wise. As bad as Western, especially American, animation can get, it usually is very varied among each creator, even if they don't fill as much genres.

If it's about style, look into Madhouse's works. They've been varying theirs on the shows they've done.
Watch Tatami galaxy, a favorite of a friend of mine- different style than other modern shows while still being made fairly recently. If shows like Ritsu's makes you vomit then I might not be too big a help since I like the moe artstyle myself as I am fond of cuteness.
