What'cha got your friends watching, user? I recently roped a friend of mine into watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes with me, and he's really digging it so far. Shows are always more enjoyable when you've got someone to share it with.

K-On! and Kiznaiver. Legend of the Galactic Heroes sounds like it'd be fun to watch with friends, but it's tough enough getting four people together to watch a 26 episode show, so I pale to think how hard it'd be to get through something with multiple shows that tie together.

LOGH isn't that complicated. Its just daunting. An hour long OVA followed by 110 episodes can really put people off. But I feel for you. Probably the easiest thing we've watched is One Punch Man because we just got through that in one night.

That's right. I've played MGS 1-PW to death, but haven't played TTS. It's a game I can (or at least should) beat in a night, with cutscenes to laugh at and a story I've memorized.

Dragon Quest VII (PSX, unless you can moon do the 3DS version) is easily 100 hours and surprisingly doesn't feel very padded.

almost only good. semi-user plus small userbase becomes a sort of hugbox community, which usually focuses on in-jokes and drama about individuals instead of discussion. when that becomes full user, you don't have the individual people to notice, and focus becomes discussion. shitposting only goes up with more users

The problem is that when everybody knows eachother, it spawns autistic petty feuds that you see everywhere on non-user websites, see: Ritsu vs Mark and Belrose vs 4AM. None of those petty feuds would've happened if it was all user.

That being said I was against the implementation of Rule 8 because it was specifically made to destroy 4AM rather than avatarfags as a whole, it's clearly a rule to reinforce the mod's biases.

It's kinda neat though, I haven't felt this sense of community online since way back when forums still mattered. Everybody knows everybody, even if they don't accept eachother. It's kind of refreshing compared to everywhere else where it feels robotic, nobody knows eachother y'know.
