It is, though I should clarify that it's not technically the final boss, more like the final story boss.
In the Destiny expansion that just came out, the boss of the final dungeon you need to do to complete the main questline is a revamped version of the boss of the very first dungeon you could do in the base game. And when you fight it, a rock version of that boss's theme plays. I know Destiny is haram around these parts, but I liked it.
