Good luck Oesterreich, and get it right this time. I have uncucked family living in Austria, and they were livid about the kikery surrounding what happened to Hofer. (Especially being dragged through the mud in the EU afterwards.) But if anything, that whole shadiness just served to push this election further right, and this is the one that matters more. Perhaps a small defeat enabled a larger victory. So here's to a white future for Austria.

It's the best realistically possible outcome, in the entire history of the 2nd Republic the SPÖ was never on the 3rd place and only 2-4 times on the 2nd place. The greens - once one of the major players - now has to fight to actually get more than a handful of seats. The only thing that could improve right now would be Pilz getting more seats than the greens and G!LT getting atleast one seat too (4% are required to get in the parliament). The only problem is that the postal votes will not be counted until thursday or so, they were rigged in last years election and if it happens again the impact will be much worse. Around 6 million austrians (of 8-9 total) are eligible to vote, 900k are doing it via postal vote this year.

Most center-right parties in Europe are very tame and while I keep reading claims ÖVP is le ebin rayciss now in the (((MSM))), in this thread people call them out on their kikery. Much is uncertain about the coalition. Many still remember the last ÖVP-FPÖ coalition from early millenia which has cost us a lot of money due to several big corruption cases, on the other hand both FPÖ and ÖVP have new party leaders now. Kurz - while still controlled opposition - is not going to be worse than SPÖ, he might atleast close the border completely to prevent more refugees from coming in but it's unlikely he will do anything against the ones already here.
It's far-left screeching, despite their recent drift towards the right they are still in the political middlefield. It's arguable how they will react on FPÖ proposals, they will probably agree with each other on immigration laws but economically they are on completely different sides. FPÖ was the biggest enemy of TTIP and CETA trade agreements while ÖVP was it's biggest supporter (in the end even SPÖ and I think also Grüne/Greens sided with FPÖ) but Trumps election atleast put a permanent stop to TTIP from what I last heard.
He's still holding a high party-internal position and might candidate for the next presidential election again
