Only FF I care about at the moment is the FF12 remake and even then, the IZJS has a english patch and looks incredible for a PS2 game when played on PC. So I don't see a reason to get that unless it adds much more content. Also I expect SE to milk the shit out of this with DLC, in an episodic game. Even then, it could fall to "culturization". I see no reason to be hyped.

You can eat a dick for this too. Don't you think changing the gameplay genre in general doesn't alienate some fans? They could have greatly expanded on the system they had since FF games don't usually have that much customization compared to many other similar RPGs. Instead they dropped it for something more action based because hating turn based combat is "outdated" for some retarded reason.

Had this been 10 years ago, I would've been hyped, but after seeing so many beloved franchises and series desecrated and raped by "remakes" and "remastering", I just want to have any series that has ended, with closure or otherwise, to rest in peace. The modern industry doesn't care of preserving or even improving on games that we remember fondly. They only care about just getting people who are either dumb enough to buy these for nostalgia's sake, or "gamers" that want something to try and pretend they actually like games and not in it for the fad.

Don't ask for remakes or get hype for them. If you want to enjoy an old game or series again, play it. Nothing's stopping you.

When a game is episodic, that means you have to buy pieces of this single product more than once. I'm softly and pleasantly hyped but that's due to what many consider a gigantic amount of shittaste, after all I really enjoyed Asura's Wrath. 7th Dragon III VFD is a good RPG if you're starving for a turn based game that's fun. Story is just a reason to kill shit and be a hero. Combat, music, and team customization is the only thing the game focuses on. Good game that barely anyone here talks about. I think the whole series is translated now too.
