Well I mean I don't blame them.

What led up to me being in the hospital, of which I don't remember. I was apparently unconcious for two weeks with a bad fever, which before hand, I only remember being in my chair, was having a flare up, too my antibiotics, fucked around for a bit, went to sleep, then I woke up two weeks later in my PJs in the fucking ER.

Thankfully it's not in my brain, but I'm pretty sure it's in my brain now, thanks to them puncturing my fucking spinal cord, and thus giving a quicker vector to my fucking cerebral fluid.

The other pic suffers from the lousy anime face, but the body proportions on the Ass and tits are on point, don't know what's happening with those legs and feet, or the hands, all I know is that it scares me.

Guilty and confused. I broke up with my ex eight months ago for all the wrong reasons, even though she begged me not to. My life went into a downward spiral afterward; I started working sixty-hour weeks to try and drown myself in my job, I drank myself to sleep every night, I 100%ed a bunch of video games I hated just so I could try and take my mind off the fact that she wasn't gonna be there when I crawled into bed. Got into a couple shitty relationships, ended them because I couldn't get over her. On my birthday about a month ago, I decided to just kill myself. Don't listen to that 'better to have loved and lost' bullshit. It's false.

Anyway, since I figured things couldn't get any worse, I decided to text her out of nowhere while I was at the park making peace with death. Just a couple sentences; told her I was proud of her for graduating (she'd just got a second degree) and that I hoped she was happy with where she was at. Didn't confess my love or anything, didn't tell her I was gonna eat a bullet when I got home. Didn't expect her to text me back. But she did, almost immediately. Said she'd been thinking of me and we should get together sometime. Since I was already at rock bottom, I convinced myself it couldn't hurt anything any worse, and it wasn't like my shotgun was going anywhere.

We met up the following weekend; she drove the four hours up to my town and we went out on a little faux-date. Got coffee, got dinner, talked. Found out she had a boyfriend she'd met toward the end of the school year, but he'd left her in the US to teach English in Japan for a year. Bought her a diamond-studded promise ring before he left. She was still pissed as hell that he was going. She doesn't do well with distance, and she warned him that he might lose her, but he did it anyway. Promised her he'd fly her out for Christmas. Didn't seem like she was very satisfied with the relationship to begin with, though, and she was letting it show.

It took us about an hour on the town to realize that we were back in love. I told her how I felt, she told me she felt the same way, but she couldn't get back together with me until she'd ended her previous relationship for good. She wanted to see him in person to give back the ring and explain the whole thing to him, too. I told her that I didn't wanna wait until December. She told me she'd see what she could do to speed up the process. I told her she had three days; she agreed.

That should've been the end of it, but it wasn't. The friend she was supposed to stay with in town ended up flaking, and she was short a place to stay. She asked if she could have my couch; I told her no problem. We sat in my room and talked for another hour or so, one thing lead to another, and we ended up fucking like rabbits after she threw her promise ring in a corner. Her boyfriend called her twice while we were in the act. He was texting her heart emojis. I didn't even care at the time; neither did she. It felt right, despite how morally despicable it was.

And then we had more sex. We spilled our emotional guts everywhere between sessions, and the whole thing was looking good until we both remembered there was still another guy in the picture. She drove back home and broke up with him the same night, but it still made me feel like adulterating garbage. Said she was coming back the next weekend for another date; I was planning on formally asking her out again then.

Two days later, he e-mails her a three-page love letter with a round-trip plane ticket to Japan to come see him immediately, all expenses paid, including an upscale hotel and even some spending cash. Begged her to give him another chance, told her she could end the relationship in earnest if she hadn't fallen back in love with him by the end of the trip. She asked for my advice. I told her she ought to go, because if she was gonna be with me again I'd rather not have her hanging on to a piece of her past or living with regrets like that.

So today she flew to Japan. I've got two weeks of limbo to find out if the emotional investment was worth it, and exactly how shitty I should feel for facilitating the cheating. I guess it's penance, in a way, but it sure does suck living with the paranoia that the tables might turn any day now. It's a bad, bad feel.
