Dates…Loomer said he checked into Mandalay Bay as early as Sept 25th. Other website said he's been around in Vegas for weeks. Another website said he's scouted out other festivals to do his attack, specifically EDC (May 18-20) and Life Is Beautiful (Sept 22-24). Though, Life is Beautiful is at Freemont Street, miles away.

He probably stayed at a hotel also owned by the Mandalay Bay's owners, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a car or two still in valet there.

That is a bad example for "typical" tracer rounds, because that is gunfire coming out of an extremely high rate of fire minigun, where the bullet stream will almost look like a laser beam. Rifle tracer fire, even on auto, has much more spacing between the rounds and usually not every round is a tracer. Tracers are typically only used with machine guns, if at all, and only every third or fifth round is a tracer. Another purpose for tracer rounds can be to have only the last few rounds in a mag as tracers, to tell the shooter that the mag is running low.

Regardless, I would say there were no tracer rounds involved in this shooting - at least I didn't see any indication for that up to now.
