I went over this many threads ago, and as someone who has played every mainline game and enjoyed them, every single mainline Pokemon game has at least one problem or another that makes it less enjoyable, usually on a subjective level. The problem is that with Gen 6 the remakes didn't fix it, we didn't get a third version to fix it, and there's some obvious basic game making issues the likes of which haven't been seen since Gen 1. Seriously, how the actual fuck did they manage to make an RPG drop so many fucking frames to the point where people bitch about it.

Also take note of what got the Megas as well, Gen 1 got the pokemon people most assiociate with Gen 1, Starters, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, Mewtwo, Gengar, Zam etc. These pokemon were deliberately chosen because they have the most appeal to the genwunners.
Throughout X and Y's social media pages it was full of images of Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur, yet the starters of it's own gen was left by the wayside.
Add on the hyped Pokemon Go, Pokemon Origins, you can tell Gen 1 had a huge influence in X and Y.

And the other Gens had Megas for Pokemon that were popular among fans and they were everyone's fap bait. And Megas turn out to be a pretty underwhelming gimmick that you'd only care about if you play competitively or get Patreon bucks to draw art of those Pokemon.

Please continue to be triggered over a nonexistent problem and insist that was the only problem Gen 6 or X/Y specifically ever had.
