This is objectively the best pokemon game

This is objectively the best pokemon game.
Not even baiting.

...

At least post soul silver you absolute retard.

Agreed.

All Pokemon games are shit

The only good Pokemon game was Pokemon Snap

It's like saying that a meal is better than the same me with a cupcake for the same price

*meal

...

I'll give you this, Crystal and HGSS fixed a lot of these (but not all)

Man you are autistic.

...

Welcome to the Pokemon fanbase.

That's not black or white, OP

not an argument

Wew, same thread with the same responses.

Everything beyond Pokemon Yellow is shit.

Don't you get it? Dilluting the pool of pokemons to catch even further just made it a complete mess.

Every Pokemon gen had its flaws, you just overlook the ones in the game you like because you grew up with it. HG/SS even remedied most of those flaws - buffing and normalizing the levels, adding more post-game content, more Johto pokemon in Johto.

Fact is the only reason why 2nd gen is now considered the "best gen" by most of the internet is because the people that grew up on it are now old enough to dominate discussion spaces about it. A few years back it was genwunners, and in a few more years the hoennbabbies taking up the spot. And even though I personally like 3rd gen, I'm ready to break out the water trumpet memes to break up the next circlejerk. D/P and 6th gen will always be a shit though.

...

Agreed
lol

If anything the best meta was 5 with the weather wars.

wew

Gen 5 with weather wars or 3rd gen where a UU team could beat any OU team with above average yomi (a quirk no other gen meta can claim)

Even then, LC past 4th gen will always be the best competitive meta.

Lc would be alright if there was a softban or something on eviolite.

Crystal a best

HG/SS were essentially perfect too

...

Fuck off Smogonshitter

Not competitively it wasn't

While it does improve on r/b/y its far from perfect

I guess I'll give you this one

Pineco

Special attack & special defense same stat
Leech seed & toxic bug
Crit. hit based on speed
Land crit with first attack of multi-hit attack and all hits are crits
No hyper beam recharge if the hit caused the target to faint
Gen 1 combat was garbage.

what a time to be alive

My personal gen list (not including remakes):

2>5>6>1>4>3

I would consider all generations to be good, though except for 3

...

4>5=6>2>3>1

Holla Forums v has come a long way to respond to shit bait threads like this

1 is equal to 3 at best m8, the only thing gen 1 really has going for it is that it was the first gen so it was excusable

Gen 3 was shit because it remove some features

Gen 4 is objectively the best gen because it had the best endgame, a good, sparse region, good graphical design that still holds up today even though it was made for shit hardware, a fucton of sidequests, especially in Platinum, and gave the return of the day/night cycle

Why did they cut day night cycle on 3 anyway?

OP said he is not baiting. He probably actually believes he is right.

So should I play crystal or ss/hg?
Never played either of those.

hgss

And since you're on here, get Drayano's balance update.

Imagine if they made a Clear Crystal

Are you in the market for a bridge?

I was just saying that some people believe the shit they spout.

Nigga it's the same in every game with some minor improvements every other gen.
The hell are you on about? Gen 2 had the blandest pokemon designs of any gen, it was the very definition of low energy.

5>3=2>4>6>1

You're objetively right.
I'd put 6 equal to 1, though

My nigga.
Monica a qt

Damn, what are the odds right?
She's a qt, but I prefer traps myself.

...

...

I'm legit curious, are you just one autist who keeps posting this or are there multiple people involved?

But is correct. Crystal is the definitive gen II game.

In any case, gen II had the best music.

I genuinely think Gen 2 was the best also. I had a blast with its remakes. And those animated sprites in Crystal, ooh baby.

This is the best pokemon game you massive waste of a faggot.
I bet you can't even breed 200 ants.

...

Pretty good taste but
5>4=2>Emerald>1>6>3 I'm substituting the gen numbers with their remakes

good show man

Emerald is the best game.

There is no reason to ever play Diamond/Pearl instead of Platinum, is there?

Strictly speaking, every gen was better than the previous one due to adding new mechanics and content, except gen 6 which shit the bed really hard. That said, I consider gen 4 to be the best overall because it had the most meaningful additions.

There is no reason to play any of the three.

Version exclusives if you want to catch 'em all, and maybe the tweaking glitch if you want to catch Darkrai and Shaymin "fairly". (It's a fun glitch to mess with, but I'd still rather cheat for the event mons.)

...

I'd probably appreciate the style more if the games weren't so terrible.

Fags who like Gen 2 never played it competitively.

I loved Gen 2 and Gold/Silver did not age well. Still aged a fuck ton better than Red/Green/Blue.

Very good point.

I only played red/blue and silver/gold
Which other games are worth playing?

Pretty much everything except for gen 6 will have people defending it, just get the superior romhacks instead of the vanilla shit.
If you don't want to play through multiple games and just want the best experience you can get then go straight for BBVW2

I agree. I wish they didn't half ass Kanto as much, but it's still a great addition.

...

...

...

motherfucker that was the worst shit ever. They said they would reopen soon and I kept coming back after beating gyms in Kanto just to see if it was open.

Pokemon Spin-offs are superior to the main series, prove me wrong

what about Pokemon trozei

Oh come on, you know what I mean

Gen II expanded on Gen I in every way except cutting Safari Zone (which it replaced in a lesser fashion with the Bug Catching Contest). It took everything about the first game, then added more onto it. You got to go back and see how the places and people from the first game changed since you were last there, making the story feel connected and keeping your emotional investment that they earned with the first game. You could interact with the old games, battle with friends still playing them, and trade over your old team.

Gen III removed all that shit and then some. It was such a massive step down that it makes II seem even better in comparison. Gen IV basically just re-added all the shit III removed, but also put fancier graphics and added online (and Pokemon is one of the few games that actually benefits greatly from online). The remakes of Gen II don't add as much new stuff as the remakes of Gen I, but they added Safari Zone back, and gave you online. Still not worth buying if you have the original, but at least it came out a bit further apart from the original than the Gen I remakes did.

but sky is objetively superior.
