So the silent protagonist who you never see is now a grill, changing absolutely nothing about the character.

If I remember correctly, no. It's just a character from the mod. You play as some faceless engineer in it.

No, she actually shows up at random times to save your ass.

Also fuck these ayys, fucking bulletsponges, and the later game is filled with these ayyheads.

...

Expecting anime to look good on 3d

Fucked up greentext, you can laugh at me now.

I recently finished replaying the first Half-Quake. Difficulty is bullshit on the hardest mode, but it's still great fun and it has fantastic map design.

Doom, Doom, and more Doom.
Also, Brutal Doom sucks, get Project Brutality.

...

Thanks for the heads up, truth is i got more a shitload of mods to get through first, for both Half Life and Doom.

I'm thinking of taking up modding, but not sure for which game, Half Life or Doom, I know some basic mapping for Doom but that's it.

I've played most of those, lots of good shit in there. Edge of Darkness is probably my favourite HL mod.

Poke646 is my absolute favorite, Edge of Darkness is pretty good too. Fuck Night at the office though.

What's wrong with it? It's been a long time since I played it but I remember it being pretty good.

It's short, it's heavily scripted, it has 3 endings, 2 of them are depressive shit.

You only kill a handful of soldiers in the whole game, and trip-mines.

Azure Sheep and Point of View really stuck with me. Great mods there. They Hunger is also a classic, of course.

That's more horrifying than anything i've ever seen in Half Life.

Probably some old news, but Arcane Dimensions for Quake is absolutely fantastic.

It's essentially a set of new and disconnected maps, but it also adds an assload of new enemies/enemy variants, items, a few new weapons/powerups, and all the levels are fucking top-tier in design and aesthetics.

Also, the shotguns now shoot projectiles.

For a second I could not tell it was Quake, how you play Quake mods? Is there a sourceport?

You can get Quakespasm. That one's supposed to be most faithful to the original game. Be sure to go into console and set gl_texturemode 1 though so you can get rid of that blahh texture smoothing.

In addition to the mod, a patch has also been released for it, so if you install it, you should install that aswell.

As for the graphics, that's just one level. The other levels do a bunch of other cool themes aswell.

I miss The Specialists.

>he has never played insert 3D hentai game that will be shitted on anyway

Only mod or "conversion" I ever played for Quake was "Ravages of apocalypse" I only played it because i like the 90s X-men, and not because it's actually GOOD.

Double Action looks like exactly the same thing but in Source.

Do people play it?

...

Yes it seems active enough, though I've never played it myself. It's on the Steam store (for free).

People paid real money for this total conversion when it came out, I remember it was in all the computer stores.

Crack life

This past week I've been playing through The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex. Despite some of the "lol so randumb xD" jokes like all of Ghandaiah's dialogue and the Goat vs Llama thing, I've actually been really enjoying it and it makes me a little nostalgic for the Internet of the early 2000's.

...

Scientist Slaughterhouse. The modded weapons are by far some of the best I've seen yet.

TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE SKYRIM MODS THREAD:
nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13049/?
When talking about how I desaturated the game to grayscale I said to use Skytweak however that was the wrong mod. This is the mod that lets you control that.
Fuck me I'm sorry guys. Though it has been three months so I guess it's only natural for me to forget some things.
ghostbin.com/paste/uvuhz Here is an updated ghostbin. I'm very sorry for the confusion.

REPACK WHEN

Still waiting on pic related to get finished. Apparently it's supposed to come out maybe this year probably not though, goddamn the dev was hoping for last year.

The current version you can download on ModDB kinda sucks. It has some shitty post-processing effects, but there was a V2 version floating around that I managed to play for a bit a year and a half or so ago, and it allowed you to disable a lot of the post-processing effects and letterboxing. It had some great atmosphere, but you could tell it wasn't anywhere near ready. I'm hopeful for it though, and the developer(s).

Master Sword: Continued. An MMORPG experiment in Half-Life. Multiplayer co-op, bizzarely fun. Has the most complex secret I have ever seen in a video game.

What the hell am I watching, what's going on.

Now is not the time for repacks, that comes when my PC's unfucked (Or when that other user gets it done).
If you want I can still relink the OST download.

Sweet half life is mediocre as fuck, play The Trap or Hazardous Course 2.
I've made a thread about HL mods more than a year ago here:
>>>/source/23

That's orc_for, a new map. The power of the enemies scales to the number and strength of the players, which makes it an ideal place for grinding out exp. It also has a small chance to drop the Dorfbow, a powerful artifact that can shoot explosives.

Did I mention it's still being updated? It's still being updated.

Anyway, the guys in red platemail are players. Casting healing spells and damage spells, using torkbows to deal with crowds and Hoarfrost to target the flame djinns before they stun you.

Here is some low-level play.

I think it's solid in the first half, the second half when you get to the aliens that's when it really loses it's FUN factor due to the awful ayys.

So there's a leveling system? Mm, how big is the community for this game?

Play the two mods I mentioned and you will be calling SweetHL mediocre in no time.

...

...

But user, i've played both, and I did not like the Trap at all.

Yep. You level skills by killing monsters using those skills, and leveling a skill raises your stats. Unarmed, small arms, swords, axes, archery, polearms, spellcasting. Each weapon type has a unique ability(stunkicks, berserk, parry, leap strike, torkbow, shove, wizard magic, respectively) and every individual weapon has its own special ability on top of that. Reasonably interesting.

On any given day you can find a few people playing, and if you join a server you'll probably have someone join you. It's less than a hundred players overall, but servers are 8 players max anyway.

Oh shit that sounds fun, would be cool to round up a couple anons and get some playtime going.

I'm looking forward for the Knights of War mod for battlefront 2 because it actually uses models ported from kotor, rather than using shitty retextures and crappy custom models like the conversion mod.

I also really like the Starship Troopers map as well.

The could have at least tried to remodel her body to make it look like a woman is actually wearing that suit, rather than just putting a female head on Gordon Freeman's body.

Well I admit, The Trap isn't for everyone, because it plays more like Portal, still you can't overlook how well made it is.
Hazardous Course 2 is amazing though, I think it has something for everyone, and it is polished to perfection, best fucking mapping I've seen, definitely my favorite.
Although if you only like the "Endless shooting massacre" aspect of some parts of HL you won't like either, I'll give you that. In that case something more classical like the Timeline series may be more of your liking.

Also that was meant for

A lot of anons used to play it, but left in protest of the ratstacking nerf. I still miss ratstacking myself, but I do play now and then.

Warning: skeletons

combat is basically morrowind
dicerolls and leveling up weapons skills by using it
you cant really do end game without a group of people though

playing this new Doom WAD doomworld.com/vb/post/1668971

with this Doom mod forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=51833

user, I've played Hazardous Course, and there are two things that I like from Half Life, shooting and platforming, and Hazardous course is fun in the platforming sense.

My most favorite mods for Half Life are Poke646, Timefall, Brave Brain and Gunman Chronicles, basically mods that have a more classic approach to the campaign.

Only because more people boosts the drop rate. There are people who solo lodagond-4 and bloodrose hanging around.

So it's all stat based, even the combat eh? Fair enough, I never truly minded the Morrowind-like combat.

What are some of the absolute, must-have, top of the line games with nude mods?

moddb.com/games/gunman-chronicles/downloads/gunman-chronicles-steam-version

Poke646 is fucking amazing too. The sequel looks beautiful but it's the most boring thing ever.
Gunman Chronicles was packed as a full standalone game though, I bought it, I have the original box somewhere.

got a link/backup for that thread?

Sadly I don't as it died before I could screencap it but that ghostbin includes everything you'll need until I make the repack. There's a link for the OST's in there too, completely ripped.

It's short, but it's not boring, it's hardly boring, what the heck do you find boring?

I know Chronicles was a full game, but it's still mostly a conversion.

Spells can't miss or fail, and hit chances are pretty good across the board(except axes, who get massive damage to compensate). It's not too bad.

Much appreciated.

In return, here's a real hidden gem:
moddb.com/mods/prize

thank's user! honestly i've spent so many hours making mods in the creation kit to make things "immersive" n shit but now its just boring as hell and a romp through a more bizzare skyrim would probably be more fun than a serious playthough, will totally be using your recs as a baseline

My nigga, which chest did you pick in the ending? The big one, or small one?

Sweet Half-Life is pretty sweet

I'm lazy today so I'm going to just copy what I posted a year ago:

In short, it was just not interesting, I was not looking forward for anything because nothing ever happened in the mod. I just went from point A to B killing some enemies, using some codes and it ended.

Yeah trust me it's a lot of fun.

Just wanted to butt in here
ahh, memories of Commodore BASIC programming

Fair enough, you made your point, I will say though, after playing Poke646 so many times, something has been bothering me all this time.

Is it just me or did Poke646 take many inspirations from Kingpin? down to the melee weapon, some of the in-game music, and even the footstep sounds

I remember finding HL2 boxes so I'm guessing I picked the big crate.

That's odd, I picked the small crate and I got

HL2

The Specialists is a blast when it comes to multiplayer

NEVER EVER

I really loved Heart of Evil, also that Cthulhu mod was pretty cool, sadly the levels were pretty bland and simple.

Also these.

Thats fucking radical m8.
All its missing is a mandalorian faction with Canderous as a hero

Why does that manual have a lambda on it?
The Lambda Complex wasn't the only sector in Black Mesa that used HEV suits.

MS:S never ever

bumping because I'm nearing completion of a songpack
I don't know how the randomization of music in skrim works so I avoided putting songs in the all hours folder (also because I wanted to keep certain songs special for the night and morning). I have no easy way to know if the playlists are categorically random or not, and that would throw off things.
Also the way the modder describes the randomization is disconcerting. He says that if it calls for a random song in a playlist and there's nothing in the slot, it will go to the next, making me presume that it cycles all the way to the next not-empty space. If that's the case, then it can be guessed that if you name all the music SONG01 through SONG09 and don't fill up the list, every empty space in that list will cycle back to SONG01. He doesn't mention it but this sort of shit bothers me. I will have to autisitically space every song if this gets further under my skin.

What's the songpack about? Any specific theme?

Weird RPGmaker games is the theme. Did you participate in the Skyrim mod thread/read the pastebin?

Haha, I dont even like Skyrim.

Okay I do

Basically I posted in the thread that I had managed to make Skyrim very enjoyable by turning it essentially into a "weird RPGmaker game".
Look at the pastebin and you'll find all the mods you need.
user here:

Is making a songpack for the mod that combines all the best music from various games and source including but not limited to:
OFF, Lisa, The Resident's, and Space Funeral.

The main source is from OFF, to the specifications of
The rest of it is just shit I like that fits it. I've been tweaking it a lot, but some of the songs might be a little quiet. After I add in some of the fan remixes of OFF and find some more morning themes + some random shit for temples and taverns, it should be good

go the fuck to sleep already
