TBS like Advance Wars, if you played that. It's a pretty unusual WW2 game, since the vanilla campaigns are centered exclusively on Germany. And oh man, what a campaign it is. It has a lot of missions, but you'll only play some of them in one playthrough, because your performance affects what future missions high command will entrust you with. Do "okay" and the war will follow its course, ending with a glorious last stand in Berlin. But if you truly learn the art of Blitzkrieg and continue to exceed your superiors' expectations, you can use your influence to push for an all-in assault on Moscow, set things in order for - and then lead - a naval invasion of Britain, before finally invading the USA.

You need HPM though. In vanilla, you basically MUST provoke rebels. In HPM you can just be a Constitutional Monarchy, put the NSDAP in power, and then get MIL about 4. Wait a month or two. This works for any country to become fascist, by the way.
Plus HPM is just better.
