FUCK MIYAMOTO

You will never get to play this, all thanks to Miyamoto. This man is a piece of shit. Why couldn't they just port this to the GCN without any changes other than resolution and framerate?
Facts about Miyamoto

Also fuck you Mark

wew
more like sage, amirite?
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

You either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain.

eat shit weeaboo, you will never be japanese.

More like Rare was already years behind in production with Dinosaur Planet and it was still their decision to make it a Starfox game.

Well it's good if you like yet another rehash of SF64

Aside from a couple flukes like DOOM and Deus Ex he is spot on.

But that's all any Star Fox fan has wanted since Dinosaur Planet

Part of me wants to call you a flaming faggot, OP, but another part of me wishes that this thread would not receive any attention at all whatsoever. The latter is wishful thinking so I may as well tell you to fuck off you dipshit.

Sure thing bud.

I would agree with you, but the issue is…
Like battered housewives since the 90's.

And your copypaste JnotRPGs and pictures with words are better?

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I bought a Wii with mario galaxy and returned the system on the same day.

Guy is a hack.

This is the only thing I can't fault him for. At the time, Nintendo, and especially the N64 were a family-friendly console. All the big hits were for all ages (you'd still have a lot of creepy games like say, Nightmare Creatures, but they were forgettable at best). Not only that, but this was just a few years after the Mortal Kombat violence controversies, so it makes sense he'd want to protect the company's image

Of course, we all know how everything went down, but like I said, given the context, at the time? Completely reasonable.

oh no another mediocre rare game I won't get to play.

rare games were always just nintendo games but worse. nostalgia fags are retarded. also the n64 was the worst looking system of its time

...

A lot of what made that game bad was the boring gameplay and shitty characters. I don't think that taking out Star Fox would change that at all.

...

Might have gotten better porn.

I've heard of all of those except the Hyruke Warriors one. What happened there? Also, isn't he responsible for the "New Super Mario-ication" that happened to the series as a whole, from 2D to 3D to sports to RPG?

>>>/furry/

I have literally never even heard of this game until you posted about it. If anything it helps reinforce my point.

>James Bond is a very well known franchise meaning a lot of people would play the game on the N64, and if there was an abhorrent level of violence present, it could cause issues towards Nintendo

I bet you like monster girls but hate "furfaggotry", despite them being the same thing.

What if he is Japanese? Did you think about that shitlord?

Monster girls are furfaggotry, you subhuman. Go kill yourself at the nearest opportunity. Filtered like your parents wish you were IRL.

its the same game, user.

You realize Neomongolia News is a satire site, right?

You realize I don't care about the mewing of subhumans, furry?

Invertebrate characters are the best.

Don't forget that Miyamoto also hogs all the development staff and budget for his own projects. Did you think it coincidence that Zelda is getting all this marketing and budget and development time while Metroid can't even get a proper acknowledgement for it's 30th anniversary?

Mind the edge, you're scaring the weebs

LOL

You know what 8ch needs a lot less of? Rusing/trolling/baiting.
A lot of OP's points aren't necessarily correct, but they're good points for discussion. There's not need to get into angsty shitfling fits just because you disagree.

Let's go through these

Well the game was originally for krystal fox, sure. For whatever reason, it wasn't completed on time and was to be re-done in the GC generation. When a game is rebuilt from the ground up, it makes sense to make it as marketable and sellable as possible - hence changing the hero to the much more recognisable Star Fox, as opposed to having the protagonist a new character entirely. They still introduced Krystal and she's in modern star fox games now.
I'm not going to argue that sticker star was any good.
As this user said here (>>10690737), in the context of the early 2000's, this did make sense.
This is something that should actually be discussed.
Western and Japanese games are clearly very, VERY different. They approach even the same genre with different ideas of game design in mind. Consider: fighting games, RPGs and then maybe other genres which only one is prevalent in - for example, sports, racing, FPS, sim, etc and other such games

There are definitely different approaches to both, and these stem from all kinds of different places.
Miyamoto is objectively succesful. He has been doing what he's been doing for so long and is now a big name behind a big company. By this standard, it's not a stretch to say that methods different from his may not be as effective - or may even be worse.

Regardless, the way Nintendo handles their western studios is incredibly dickish - remember Argonaut, the guys behind Croc and Croc 2? They were chewed up and spat out by Nintendo after putting in nothing but good work. You can read the lead dude's account of what happened - he had a lengthy interview about it.

So easily triggered

you're fucking retarded. the Genesis port of the first Mortal Kombat outsold the SNES port by 3-to-1 due to having (unlockable) blood where the SNES version had none, Nintendo got BTFO so bad in sales they pathetically relented on their no-blood policy for the release of Mortal Kombat 2, of course it was too little too late as Sega was already running circles around Nintendo in the west by that point, it was all Nintendo could do to try to play catchup. This all went down long before anyone had ever heard so much as a whisper of a thing called 'Ultra 64'.

And that's how I know you're underage.

RIP Tigger

I was gonna say Tigger isn't a furfag, but it's how obnoxious he is that makes me rebuke that thought. 75% of my hate stems from how they never shut the fuck up and need to drag it into EVERYTHHING.

Sure thing, closet furfag. It's totally not the normal human response.

You're full of shit, the entire DOS era was gold. Modern shit not so much.

inb4 you say Commander Keen or Jazz Jackrabbit were good

Do you have something against mexicans? :^)

also

yeah Mortal Kombat and DOOM sure were some niche titles weren't they user

w-what'd mark do

The man is a genius. If they didn't make it a Star Fox game, Rare would have taken it with them when they moved to Micro$oft and you would have never gotten to play it.

Cody if that's you, please leave Holla Forums and never EVER come back around here. We don't need a massive autistic Nintendrone faggot to make this place even worse.

I'll be honest

I kinda enjoyed Zero as well since I got accustomed to the controls

with that said it wasn't worth 60 dollars

Fuck you and your shit sources user.

Kiss a shotgun faggot. Rare was a hetter Nintendo than Nintendo itself

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I post this every thread but I reckon 5 more proper stages and a real andross would've saved it.

Non shit controls would have been enough.

Anita please go.

For what purpose?

Bump

Wanting Goldeneye to have toned down violence still didn't make sense because violent video games quickly got popular long after Mortal Kombat and DOOM came out, heck I want to say there were plenty of violent ones way before that like Splatterhouse.

Goldeneye also came out about a year after Resident Evil 1 which was violent and really popular.

I'm not implicitly defending the man, or saying I understand him. I'm saying that, given the climate at the time and the uncertainty (and overwhelming controversy) over violent vidya at the time, I can understand why he took that position. As a vidya enthusiast today, I will never support censorship or toning down any aspect - I believe it's up to the developer to do what they want with their own game.
However, if I was a parent in the late 90's I might have thought differently. Context, my man.

I like star fox adventures

Koei Tecmo pretty much had full reign of the game, to my memory. I doubt Cia would be walking sex like she is if Miyamoto had terrifically much say.

This reminds me of an article that blamed Catwoman's boobs being covered in Batman Arkham City Armoured Edition to Nintendo's censorship.
It was covered in armor.

Miyamoto was never a hero.

Some of those are taken out of context

You sound like a really butthurt furfag. Are you a furfag?

Also GET OUT NIGGER. We don't like your kind around these parts.
