Even if the main character was Italian this game would be an insult to the mafia series. The fact that it isn't made by the original devs is a huge mark against the game. Instead it's some no name studio took the reins and it's obvious from what they made that they didn't understand the series. Mafia is not a gta style game. It has a deliberate story and pace and is more a tps with driving segments that take place in an open world.
