Woah, so this is the power of 8th Gen
Mount & Blade Warband: Console Edition
for what reason
Liras
I can't wait for all the console niggers complaining about the graphics, despite the fact if they were any better the battles would be 20v20
Fucking graphics whores killed large scale strategy games
I'm still so fucking mad about what happened to the total war series
I'd give a fuck if they added some console exclusive content, but it looks like a direct port.
Good joke
What does that have to do with anything?
Their main problem was changing to a shit engine and using it after Sega fired the devs responsible for it.
Fucking disgusting, consider suicide
Goddamn this game looks terrible. Who the fuck would play this? Lmao.
(You)
less talking, more raiding.
Seriously though, I know it's a great game. My friend bought me MB months ago so I could play with him, but I never actually booted it up. Now his CPU is fried and he has to resort to playing on his little brother's PSQUATRO until further notice. Maybe I should return the favor. Then again, it could just end up running like ass. Any word on the settings for consoles?
Why would anyone buy this?
lol
mouse dragging aside, won't combat be a fucking pain with a controller? i'd imagine that doing the correct directional attack would be impossibly hard this way
OOOOHHHHH, is this the M&B game that was going to consoles? For some reason I thought it was Bannerlord that was being released on consoles and broke my heart.
Fuck I'm relieved, maybe Bannerlord won't be casualised trash after all.
Nah, even if it gets a console port the game looks like an expanded Warband with a new coat of paint.
The base mechanics from the first two games are all there and the game is Open Source with Mod Tools at launch, might not live up to the hype, but Im sure it will be an enjoyable ride.
Likely a buggy one
thing is I don't get is the only major draw to M&B is Mods, Vanilla is actually fairly shit. Native Expansion was in my opinion where the game actually felt complete because you had proper kingdom management. And that's ignoring how many damn amazing TC mods are available for the game as is that you won't get for this version.
finally, you console guys get to see what makes PC gaming so great! The PS2-tier graphics, the shit abstraction of quests, combat and having actual level design! Get prepared, you're gonna see waves of dudes with almost no AI walk in a single direction and die with no fight.
...
mount & blade was always a meme game that pc gamers hoped would get better as development went on. Instead they nickle and dimed players for entirely "new" games with one or two new features that was sold for the price of the game they already bought.
...
Its too easy. I got bored with it because I played the fuck out of Vanilla M&B when it was in Alpha. So warband didn't really appeal vanilla when it came out despite doing 2 full playthroughs. Native Expansion was the first time I went, you know what Warband was a very good decision. Because prior to that Warband just felt like the same game just with an engine upgrade. But when Native Expansion got ported it really shined. The bullshit limitations of the original engine were gone and we could finally have our kingdom builder game.
And then 1257AD happened. This is why I can't go back to Vanilla.
I was playing the pre release builds before the force retail release by the kikes at Paradox.
Consider suicide
True, but Vanilla is still enjoyable and with some nice content in it even if it starts extremely slow and is very exploitative.
Especially at the time
early access before it was cool, but more jewish than ever
Fuck out of here
The thing I don't like about that mod is most of the troops are samey and look terrible(except for the orders). I know that's how most of the army would look historically but it bugs me from a gameplay perspective because I like having unique-looking troops
Consolefags are all graphic whores, do they think they'll win money from this?
Haha, us pc masterrace, right guys?
Poor little console plebs.
A video game!
You could play it.
Or not!
Let's see how this develops.
Witty stuff guys, now >>>/reddit/
Released on consoles to test it out. Bannerlord will be out on PS4/Xbone for sure.
...
This is how it always starts:
Step 1: A game in the series goes to consoles, usually it's a shit port or an old entry, it's a low effort testing of the waters.
Step 2: The next game in the series has a delayed console release, anywhere from 3 to 12 months
Step 3: The next game in the series is multiplat
This is how it has always gone (sometimes step 2 is skipped), most recent example has been The Witcher series, only extreme newfags don't know this. Bannerlord will be fine, probably, but I worry about the M&B that comes after it.
