I'm not sure how serious that guide is simply because it recommends Silva, who is a literal Ougi machine and scales horribly.

Hermit has a skill that increases skill damage but debuffs own defense. It's great because he can have up to 3 nukes and hits really hard when they're off CD.

Hawkeye has a similar niche, but aside from treasure find (which is fairly important if you want to farm Magna) his skill that does more damage the more debuffs an enemy has can hit really hard too.

Lookin for something fate/go was only slightly above meh.

Defense Order for Group E/F starts now

It's a turn based RPG. Your party is you plus three others with two in back slots that take the place of a fallen member.
On your turn you can use skills then press attack, this makes your party auto attack then the monsters attack. Party members have a charge bar that goes up as the take/do damage for a big attack. Monsters have dots below their hp bar, when filled they use some kind super skill. The dots can be messed with and skills used to handle the burst damage or debuff coming.

Not that I've seen.

The art is great, with lots of pretty girls with pretty voices. Don't know if that counts.

I only started a week ago and like it. If I got anything wrong vets please smack my shit straight.

Turn-based, 4 active characters have 1 turn to use any or all their skills to do damage, buff, debuff, heal etc. At the end of your turn, everyone auto-attacks, the enemy hits you, rinse repeat. Keep attacking and you fill up a bar to use a charge attack and hit the enemy like a truck, but they can do the same.

Your main character can be customized very similarly to the Final Fantasy jobs system. One job has three base abilities, plus a fourth one you can take from any of other the jobs you have leveled up.

It can get pretty grind-y, especially once you've unlocked the Magna raids. The most common, hard-hitting weapon grids before the endgame use a lot of gear from the Magnas.

On top of that there are some long-term investment weapons that require many materials and multiple stages of forging to reach full power.

You're usually grinding for a lot of things, exp, job points, various materials for character and weapon upgrades, hell, even casino chips.

As mentioned above, the multiplayer is pretty much raids with other players, using character abilities to heal or buff each other and debuff the bosses. The closest thing to a PvP, the Guild Wars, are essentially scoring races between qualified guilds.

Pretty damn comfy. Music is of stellar quality for being just a phone game, the art design suits the fantasy aesthetic, there's a bunch of characters, each with their own story missions, so you're bound to find a good handful you'll like, raids with friends and guildmates can be pretty chill.

I came off F/GO and into GBF myself, it's a lot more grind, but I find it much more engaging. That could also be because F/GO is still in year 1 and still has to get its shit together.

I don't know if it's my cellphone or my shitty internet connection but the game sometimes runs like absolute ass.

Phone version is notorious for running like molasses, but if it's your internet, you can test that with the browser or chrome app version.

Personally i think rolling healer is only for people who have really strong attack teams because healers deal no damage and if you can't burn bosses at a decent pace no amount of heal/phalanx is going to help you win.

You'll want the abilities available in the priest line of jobs anyway. Cleric gets you Clear (heals a party debuff or status), and Bishop will get you Dispel (removes an enemy buff), highly useful abilities for less braindead raid bosses (i.e. Chevalier, Celeste, and Leviathan magnas).

Also really good as 4th slot abilities for your Dark Fencer if you want to solo something.

Event gachas can only be reset after you get the top prize in it, usually the SSR summon exclusive to the event. Resetting after the 4th box requires you to empty it before you can reset.

Also, I wouldn't feel too bad about it. Anat will always be waiting for you at the casino, and even without MLB, her leader aura attack buff is 50%.

As far as weapons go, the skills on them matter more than their rarity. He won't have enough SSR weapons to fill a pool anyway, so he might as well set up different teams and diversify his elements so he can focus down weaknesses.

Nah, I wouldn't skill up weapons that can't be MLB'd easily if I were you.

yes and no there are different outcomes depending on what you feed her element and class type i'll link to a proper guide when i find one

After clearing chapter 4 and doing the 15AP quest, Malinda will join your party, feeding her different fruits will increase and decrease her Spirit, Vitality and Temper. The fruits will affect these as follows.

Red Nut: +10 Spirit | -10 Temper
Green Herb: +10 Vitality | -10 Spirit
Indigo Fruit: +10 Temper | -10 Vitality
Dragon Fruit: +30 to all

Since getting Malinda requires you to feed her 1 dragon fruit she will start at 30/30/30.

I'm reading the wiki page for the event, gonna try to TL the recommendations part for practice.

Recommendations:
Dark Defender: Number 1 recommendation because has dark has just a few healers. Get this if you have no idea what you're doing.
Dark Attacker: If you do have the dark supports, Beth's attacker form can easily make use of them.
Fire Defender: There are a small amount of defensive fire supporters, and some are limited characters, so Beth can sub in for them, if needed.
Earth Defender: You can use this Beth form as a replacement for SSR Sara, if you don't have her, against Leviathan Magna.

(i'm not sure here for dark attacker or earth defender because i can't totally understand the granblue terminology in runes)

How worthwhile is the current premium draw bonus? I have one SSR summon (Lich) and 3k crystals + 1 draw ticket, and am only at chapter 18. Is it worth using that now, or should I just keep saving them for now?

Save them till legfest or try to save until 90k.

Since you just started, you probably don't have a big base of characters to form teams from. It's better for you to wait until the SSR rate is doubled during legfest so you can build a foundation unless you want to fish for specific waifus

Legfest is a period of time where rates for SSR characters and summons are doubled, so you really want to be saving your crystals for that.

You should use all the summons you can get your hands on. Lich isn't too bad, as you can use it on a water and/or dark team.

While there are a lot of waifus in this game, I appreciate how far Cygames go to cater to the funjos as well. Lots of quality husbandos in the game, hell, there's even one with a kid.

I am convinced this event's challenge fight is impossible.

For obvious reasons, your MC should be dark.

Use Beth's tank ability and her form change on the same turn so you can counter blows. Use her heal as much as you can.

Vampi's charm should be spammed whenever it's off CD, use her nuke to remove buffs (but only at the start, the boss doesn't copy buffs for most of the fight) and steal diamonds to gain charge bar.

Use a MC that encourages the growth of charge bar, because the key thing here is to ougi and ougi often. Both Vampi's and Beth's ougi hit like a truck.

And, of course, your MC should be dark, your main summon should be dark, and your support summon should be bahamut.

Why do we evne have now set as strike time? THIS is the part of time where gooks are most active.
It died with 154 points after using my support and didn't even unleash my ougi

If you want to take it easy only call on crew/friends or don't call at all until you're spent.

If you want to maintain your MVP in raids, you're gonna have to wait to open to pubs until the boss is at 50% or you're at 50k+ contribution points, otherwise you're at risk of 1st place getting robbed by pubzerkers. Also if you have friends or guildmates in, you can always tell them you're going for MVP so they can take it easy on the damage and ougi chains.

There is little reason to rush through the rest of the story quests unless you're a few crystals short of a 10-roll during a Legendfest. Grinding out the events will get you lots of useful resources like JP and skill up fodder.

I tend to forget there's a big chunk of newly started players in here.

In that case, since you're running a Cleric, just press all your ability buttons as soon as you jump in, they affect all teams in the raid and get you points. Should be worth more than a single support summon too.

I started playing this a couple weeks ago, went through the Detective event and just beat this one's.

1. Too many useless buttom prompts when you want to start shit. Lobbies should be a single click affair, instead you are constantly asked to choose supports and to give confirmation. Same for backup requests, NEXT prompts etc.

2. Obtuse menu system has you browse through tons of full-screen menus whenever you need to perform an action. Would you like to move an item? In a normal game, you would click a couple of times in a single menu: Granblue warps you through 2 different fullscreen menus, then asks you to confirm as added injury. UI this cancerous is usually only found in flash games.

3. Softcaps everywhere. Grind to upgrade characters, summons, weapons and you'll find out they are level capped. So grind some more to uncap them… repeat 3 times over. Now enter the seasonal events and it starts all over, with specific gear.

4. Art and voices are comfy. Music is fine, but few tracks.

Please don't cheat people into believing this mobile grind-a-thon is a proper RPG. You're just addicted to mobileshit.

Alright, after a lot of dicking around from the phone app I manage do reset my email to a throwaway account.

Considering I'm probably going to run a dark team as I got Vampy and not-summer-Danua, is it a good idea to go toward Holy Saber to try and tank for my waifus ? Or should I just go pure attack ? I already unlocked and mastered Dark Fencer but I feel like I can't stay in a mastered class without feeling like I'm gimping my progression.

danua's reflection is already a wall of sort. i think using dark fencer for the utility isn't that much of a bad idea you also get a bit of emp to use on other classes (or on dark fencer) if you lack a decent healer bishop is also an okay choice

Depends on your party composition but overall you could use Dark Defender Melinda to fill the support role, then you can pump some EMP points on memefencer's bloodsword+debuff rate or go another DPS/utility class.

You should mould your MC to what you feel your team needs. Danua is a straightforword nuke machine and Vampy is an all-rounder, so you can afford to be flexible about what you want from your MC.

I wouldn't actually call Beth a decent healer. Sure, she's useful for a tank/heal but she can't do either particularly well. She's only good in that role simply because dark support is so lacking in the first place.

Would it be better to stick someone like Jasmine on a dark team than Beth, even if she is earth she can heal and clear debuffs.

I can't see much synergy in that party, but it'll work until you get something better. At the very least you got some debuffs and healing going along with a basic light summon main that you should replace with the current event boss that you should MLB

At least you can be sure of a 100% chance of Milia. Before the DO event, dark summons were in a terrible place, with not a single common summon that had 50% atk boost other than maxed Olivia, Odin, or Bahamut.

You can use Trial Battles to quickly and freely reset your summon list.

How casual friendly is this game? I feel like some mobages can take more time each day than shit like WoW or FF14

How f2p/cheap player friendly is it? If i play for free or only spend 5 bux here and there can i still do just as well and people who spend a lot of money (1000+ usd) or at least still enjoy the game without feeling like i must spend to do well

You just need 1 or 2 hours through the day to do your dailies and shit, so it's pretty casual friendly.

There is a lot of whales out there but it doesn't really matter because this isn't a PVP game, if anything whales are a huge boost to newbies since they go around one shotting shit for them in public raids.

In any case if you don't want to deal with whales you can simply play in private with friends and crew members.

You can faceroll during the first 10 hours or so but after that you need to learn proper mechanics for boss fights to not get brutally raped.

Overall is a fair grindgame with comfy music, good artstyle and a massive waifu/husbando cast.
