What have you been playing/emulating user? Is it good? Are you having fun? Tell us about it.
I'm finally putting down some hours for Monster Hunter for the first time and I'm loving it. Although I still don't get how the skills and other gear stats work I'm still having a blast.
I've been playing Growlanser wayfarer of time. Pretty good SRPG so far, although I'm stuck at a part where I keep dying. Still figuring out how to get through it. I'm also playing Kula World, a very relaxing game where you play as a beach ball.

Currently playing the English patch of 7th Dragon 2020. Breddy gud. Been playing some Armored Core Formula Front and DJMAX 3, also breddy gud. Been meaning to play some PS1 games but I'm not sure how that works. I used to make PS1 eboots for the PSP but I'm not so sure if/how to use POPS instead. Oughta look that up sometime.

Posted this in the last PSP thread, but I think the thread died immediately afterward. New WIP revision. Wondering if I ought to leave Jak: The Lost Frontier up there or cull it like 3rd Birthday (both of them were on the original one), and if Nayuta no Kiseki ought to be retitled to "Trails of Nayuta" given the English naming scheme Legend of Heroes games seem to go by these days.
Also taking more suggestions for stuff that's still missing, but I do need descriptions for the games as well before I can make a tab for them.

Castlevania and Parodius on real hardware.
As much as i hate the new 3D artstyle i have to say this is a pretty good remake(?) of an old time classic, it also includes the original Rondo of Blood and SotN.
Don't play the SotN version included in this game because it's absolutely trash, stick to the fantranslated original or the regular version with the legendary cheese dub.
The main attraction of this series is the whacky japanese humour, gameplay is solid but nothing too good.
The PSP version includes the mainstream Parodius games, the port is ok but it has some shitty slowdowns here and there, specially on Forever With Me.
Haven't played Jak but i have no idea why would you remove 3rd birthday, the game is pretty good aside from "NO AYA, YOU ARE THE DEMONS"

I've been playing Liberty City Stories as of late, stuck on that mission where you have to drive around in a van slandering a mayoral candidate but otherwise it's been fun.
I just use PSX2PSP when I want to play a game that hasn't already been converted by somebody else. Usually works alright. Usually

A lot of people complained about it being left on there (as well as having even been on the original image I was revising/updating in the first place), same as I've been seeing people do so for TLF. I suppose I could always re-add 3rd Birthday and just make a note that it's pretty different from PE1 and 2 if people would want to see it back up there. It's still a work in progress.
You have to convert the games to eboots. With most games it's easy enough to find preconverted ones, but for some that might have been Japan/PAL exclusive, or have only been fan-translated recently (Echo Night 2 for example), it's a bit harder, and might be easier to convert on your own. Just note that for making eboots of fan translated PS1 games, the PS1 ISO needs to be patched with the translation first, before converting to eboot.
A few PS1 games also don't exactly like the format for some reason. Dragon Warrior VII, to my knowledge, has issues tryin to be played via eboot.

I'm currently playing this in Japanese. I'm having a hard time but I'll suffer through it for my waifu.
Brody Russell
I decide to try a Silent Hill game, although I'm not sure if I should have started with this Origins.
(checked) I had to replay that shit 3 times before I decided to destroy the vans.
Joseph Wright
And who exactly would that be, user?
Oliver Ramirez
Can't remember, is that the wiki people here started, or the halfchan one reddit took over, or whatever it was that happened there?
Benjamin James
Can't remember, but if you just want a quick description you can just grab it.
Matthew Russell
Somehow I think retaining that Final Fantasy XII part might do more harm than good due to how love-it-or-hate-it XII seems to be, but I'll see if I can work something up out of what's there (I don't want to just copy and paste it).
Easton Perry
Ok, my bad. That one has to go.
Carter Phillips
This seem accurate/workable?
Daniel Mitchell
10/10 would make me check it out. Nice work user.
Adam Cooper
Sometimes it's a matter of trying to find the right phrasing to get stuff to still fit but not lose the idea. I initially wanted to end it with something along the lines of "[…] so you can tell Square and their localization team to fuck off" but it wouldn't fit.
Connor Butler
You need 10 points in a skill for it to activate. So if you have +7 in the sharpener skill, it does nothing, but if you get +10 in it then you have the speed sharpening skill and can now sharpen weapons faster. There are negative skills which work the same way. Additionally, some skills have multiple levels. Like with attack up, you can get +10 for attack up small, but if you get up to +15 or +20 you can get attack up medium and large.
Christopher Wright
Kek, still came out nicely user. Good shit.
Hang on, when I level up my gear to +7?
Owen Brown
Go to the menu > armor > skills It should show how many points you have in each armor piece, and which skills are activated
Dominic Garcia
Emulating God eater, but now that its come out on Pc I've been eyeballing it a ton.
Nolan Rogers
The PC version has denuvo though
Elijah Robinson
Skill name or skill earned? On earned some skills are highlighted, one isn't. And on name there are points, are these what you are refering? I'm so sorry for this user.
Wasn't 2 the only one to be ported?
Lucas Diaz
That doesn't really bother me.
Burst got a re-remaster in the form of resurrection. I guess it comes with all the new wepons and mechanics if the wiki is to be believed.
Robert Cruz
Only the earned skills matter.(you'll notice that all earned skills are either at +10 or -10 points)
Luke Gutierrez
Skills are independent of armor defense (or level). If you upgrade armor with armor spheres, that only increases the defense of that armor piece. The amount of points in a skill a piece of armor has is static, but you can make jewels that have additional points in skills and put them onto armor pieces that have slots or weapons that have slots.
Kevin Watson
Oooh. Alright then, what about those negative ones?
The decorations right?
Owen Harris
The negative ones are bad, but only activate at +10 like the positive ones.
James Robinson
What happens when I have the following then:
20 Defense up (L) 15 Defense up (M) 10 Defense up (S) -10 Defense down (S) -15 Defense down (M) -20 Defense down (L)
Do they nullify themselves?
Jacob Mitchell
Yes. You would have a net of 0 Defense.
Jack Taylor
I'm assuming there will be further armor which will not employ the negative ones?
Ayden Perry
Leave it as Nayuta no Kiseki, as that is the nomenclature used in the translated version.
Nathaniel Taylor
Well, Defense Up/Down is probably not what you're thinking it is. It means something different than straight "your armor goes down" but I don't know what off the top of my head. There will be armors later on with negative Defense traits. However, the negatives will start being outweighed by positives, and eventually you will be able to gem to neutralize the negative traits altogether.
Elijah James
Alright I get the gist of it. Thanks a bunch user, I'll keep learning as I go.
Gabriel Peterson
Yes the decorations.
Anthony Jenkins
You too user, thanks.
Christopher Wilson
Okay, thanks.
Adam Diaz
going to take a look at FF zero fan-translation.
I actually hate squareenix, i grew up with squaresoft, you know blah blah and so on.
i hope 'ff zero' with the fan translation is at least, somehow playable.
Caleb Taylor
ok, FF type zero is a casual button smasher with a boring as fuck war story.
Ryan Cooper
-GTA Chinatown Wars it's very fun -Burnout: Dominator it's worse than Legends -God of War: Chains of Olympus it's God of War -Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles it's not meant to be rendered in 3d, trying to unlock the original PC-engine version instead -Ys Seven feeling bored and frustrated at the second boss, teammates keep running into the spider's tongue
-Metal Gear Solid I feel like DPS, I'm really bad at it so far -Tony Hawk Pro Skater I'm slowly getting better, missed out on the whole PSX library, only played Tekken 3 and a little bit of Skullmonkies back in the day -Dr. Mario on NES wish there was at least one extra frame of animation during the pill spin, I always get confused for some reason (see above: retarded) -some PuyoPuyo vs title on GBA I'm shit at this
Yeah, I'm having fun, but I've been playing Titan Quest AE instead recently.
Levi Gonzalez
Bomp.
Kayden Bailey
It's fine, the game is a mess though.
Kayden Sullivan

Repostan from
I just got back into this after not playing for a very long time, but I'm having some trouble figuring out how it works.
1- Do the levels matter? As far as I've seen they're shared between all the classes 2- How do I get my guys to become stronger? I sometimes see messages that tell me that one of my skills leveled up, but can't find anything that tells me what these skills are 3- I'm in chapter 4 and some new story guys just joined, but they're lvl 4, and everybody else in my party is level 19, what the fuck am I supposed to do with them? Just grind with random encounters until I can use them? 4- Why do I feel like my characters always do so much less damage than enemies? I've seen mages do up to 80dmg despite being two levels lower than me, mine do half of that, barely, even if I have the best equipment I can get
Am I missing something?
Wyatt Cooper
That list isn't actually the skills you have, but the +/- points you require for each level of the skill. An armor with, eg, Defense Up +3 will have all of those listed on its info screen. Only when you equip enough to hit +10 (or -10) will any of them activate; in this case, the one listed at +10, which is Defense Up S. Get to +15 and you hit M, and so on.
