It's pretty comfy when you have a small village but as the population grows I start to get into a vicious cycle of everyone farming 3/4 of the year and then a winter full of mining.

Banished reminds me a lot of Patrician III but without most of the gameplay that made it great. The survival feels more personal since you more closely micromanage your people, but you don't get to shift your focus outward to other villages and grow your shekels. If Banished could do that, it would be a serious GOTYAY contender.

Actually took these myself. I stayed up until 1:30 and walked around 12 kilometers up a mountain in complete darkness. I enjoyed the sunrise up there and as I walked back down I turned around and took in the scenery.

Hopefully we're completely done with the heat. Been on a Dark Souls binge since the series had quite a few sales recently and was able to pick up all 3 for $60, decently comfy, working on 3 now. Kind of sad I didn't get to play any of them in their prime, even 3 is already pretty dead on PC. Where I live, it's hot as fuck most of the time. So I enjoy autumn because it's cool enough that I can walk around outside without sweating, but still wear light stuff like a T-shirt.
Also, few things feel better than being wrapped up in a blanket while it's cold or raining outside. Makes you appreciate your comfiness even more.

You think I enjoy being in the PNW? Everything looks like ass for 3/4ths of the year, at best you'll get snow in the winter and you'll be able to take snow pics for Christmas, like a poverty version of most Christmas movies with the glamor shots.

The reason why I said that is because there's a ton of horror games. Yeah, just what I need. Trying to be comfy in blankets so there's a jumpscare out of nowhere and I have a fucking heart attack. Real comfy. The problem is that most "comfy" games care a hell of a lot more about atmosphere than the actual gameplay so you end up hitting the ceiling just a few hours in.

I hated Halloween ever since I grew out of trick or treating. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you do, that's a bit of the candy you were saving for movies that's no longer yours, if you don't the neighborhood hates you. The problem is that games I like aren't comfy. I want something to fit the theme, usually I play MMOs or some shit like that around this time because they're minimal effort and with me having a cold, I can grind as much as I want while listening to Pandora or whatever. The problem is that my favorite MMOs are dead or shut down so there's little point. I can't find suggestions in these threads because like I said, opposite of comfy.

If it's not raining I'll have to buy a variety pack just for that so you might have the right idea

The civilized hub areas in Metro are comfy. Other than that, I agree.

They all have some element of isolation, stillness and wilderness. Theres more than one kind of comfy and in games with combat you have to look at the parts between combat.

Nigger S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can be comfy when you're hanging around other stalkers in camps or exploring abandoned buildings (once you get equipment good enough to get rid of anything that could appear).

Eh Gen is a worse game than 4U but it's decent for 50 or so hours. It's just too gimmicky

Honestly can't wait for winter. Early winter is perfect weather (around 0C) for walking around in comfort. When it gets below -25C, when walking becomes just as much a pain as above 20C.

It's actually incredibly comfy to bring a hot tea/coffee outside in a T-shirt in about -20C weather, late at night (provided there's no wind), and just sit around.
