It's not like you can apply for it, plus it's mostly a wasteland were people starve and aren't provided a single shit by the government so they have really no way to live decently.

Reservations aren't even a solution anyways. Native Americans should get a California sized landmass to decide where, when and how to live. Hell, just re-allocate the Iroquois territory.

There is no such thing as a "native american" anymore. They are trying to segregate themselves from their country on racial grounds, it's nonsense. I could understand letting tribal groups in the amazon that have just been contacted by the outside world keep the land they're currently occupying, but in the US these "natives" drive trucks, play guitars, and use iphones. They are no different from anyone else except they've been raised to have a victim complex about anyone who doesn't look like them. Fuck, I went to a casino in oklahoma and the "natives" working there were whiter than I am; they couldn't even claim to be native on a genetic basis anymore, just some vague "well my great grandmother was 1/4 navajo and I wanna keep my heritage alive by running a tax free gambling facility".

Don't know how it is in burgerland but in Canada they get free tuition and residence for university.

The First Nations people here live in absolutely fucking miserable conditions - even with free tuition, there's little access to legitimate opportunities in their communities, high rates of gang membership, drug abuse and broken homes, and some places don't even have indoor plumbing. Up north it's even worse as they don't have sunlight or the traditional meat-based diet, so everyone has vitamin D deficiency and is an alcoholic murderer. Also the cops hassle them like nobody's business and their women get raped and murdered by pig farmers on the regular and tribal leadership is corrupt and porked up to shit.

As for natives living in the cities, they're often the children of victims of the residential school system that fucked up lives not even a century ago, thus for the same reason blacks in America have such shit conditions and stereotyping, so do the natives up here. If you're 1/8th native you get free state tuition at many state colleges. They also have special economic muh privileges, but one of those is ruling their own people. It varies from reservation to reservation since some tribes have bad leadership.

Sort of. They are still under federal jurisdictions, but reservations usually have a tribal government which is really just a low-level liberal institution like a county government. Frankly, the existence of reservations now is ridiculous. They are just there to contain an impoverished population.

This is a critical point. Why do you feel that your people are the tribe that you have genetic ties to, rather than the culture and community that you live in and grew up in? Maybe you should de spook yourself and realise that you are the person that you are today in your interactions with society rather than an ideal in your head.

You are member of industrial capitalist society just like almost everyone else. You speak english, you shitpost on the internet, I bet you watch movies and TV, eat take away from time to time, and maybe play a sport or have other hobbies. You aren't a tribe that you have no ties to other than a feeling of self loathing and ideology.

You know what? This is your land, and you should be entitled to it's riches. But it's also the land of everyone else on this planet. I hate that we are reduced to divvying up the wealth of humanity for the benefit of the few capitalists who run the show. It's not the whites or the jews who own it and take everything from it for their own benefit; it's a class rather than a race, since the class includes people of nearly all backgrounds. Class is based on your relation to the wealth of the land, or the means of production, and if you own it you are part of the bourgeoisie - the capitalists, if you work on it for the benefit of the bourgeoisie then you are proletariat - a worker.

You should join the struggle for your best interests on behalf of the only thing that really matters in this world - class - rather than on the back of worthless blood ties to something you don't really have a meaningful connection to.

Those natives that live in the city feel like they don't have any opportunities because of stereotypes that work against them. Factor in inherited abuse, police scrutiny, job and housing scrutiny and it's no wonder native people would prefer to live on reserves.
