japs were mad about wartime economic sanctions we saw the attack coming but the president let it happen to drag us into the war, a navy vet from the time wrote a book about it

There was an user who explained it in detail a while ago and I should have capped it. Basically we starved Japan by embargoing them so they either had to go back to being rice farmers or seize their resources. Attacking the USA was arguably an incorrect decision. There was a strong current among the Bushido Officer Corps of the Japanese Imperial Army at the time that wanted to attack the soft underbelly of the Soviet Union in the far east but, the Emperor didn't want that. They might have been able to capitulate the Soviet Union if they had instead blockaded the Soviet Union preventing USA supplies from getting to the Soviet Union as well as invade them.

Germany declared war on the USA the day after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. It wasn't a surprise attack though. The USA knew very well that it was coming. It could be argued that Japan shouldn't have attacked Pearl Harbor and Germany shouldn't have declared war.

That makes sense if you assume that the USA's WASP elites weren't already 100% in bed with the kikes and they were already 100% committed to the war against Germany and Japan, they just hadn't deployed their troops yet.

I'm sure that the USA would have found a reason to deploy troops to enter the war officially even if Germany and Japan played nice with the USA so it kind of makes it irrelevant.

Same thing with operation Barbarossa. Soviet military production was so much greater than Germany's that the longer Germany waited the worse the disparity became. The ONLY thing that Germany and Japan delaying the war would have mattered would have been if they got nuclear bombs.

The ability to deploy nuclear weapons is the only thing that allows countries to resist ZOG. North Korea, China, Russia and their allies. If you don't have nukes and your allies aren't willing to use their nukes to defend you then ZOG will do whatever it wants with you.

You're right except for the fact that the Emperor had no say in the matter. Traditionally, the Emperor says almost nothing in regards to policy.
What happened was after the 2/26 Incident, the Imperial Way Faction of the military, who wanted to ensure more power was attributed to the Emperor and expel the (((foreigners))), was taken out and the Control Clique gained power, eventually making the military the sole power in the nation.
See, the Emperor appointed Prime Minister Cabinets, military leaders, and such like that. The Imperial Way Faction wanted to ensure the nation followed the Emperor's decisions. However, the Control Clique made it so that the military could disagree with the Emperor's choices and veto anything suggested, making them the sole power. They particularly wanted to expand southward while the Imperial Way Faction wanted to hold on to Manchukuo only and strike northward into the USSR.
Later, of course, the slimy Chinese Reds instigated a war with them and forced Japan's hand to fight. If only the Control Clique wasn't still in power then, they could have stopped at the generous peace treaty Germany brokered between the two nations, and Japan could have helped Hitler with the final blow.

Almost no Americans know that the US fired the first shots at Pearl Harbor. Along with the Japanese carrier group with their torpedo bombers, a second prong in the Pearl Harbor raid involved midget submarines of the Imperial Japanese Navy infiltrating the harbor itself and laying waste to American ships from below while the bombers rained hellfire from above.

In the early hours of the morning, long before a Japanese plane was seen above Oahu, the American ship USS Ward spotted one of these Japanese midget submarines, and fired at the infiltrator with its main gun. The mini-sub was sunk, and the captain of the USS Ward radioed the encounter back to command. Word of the engagement even reached the White House….all before the main attack on the naval base began.

US command rejected USS Ward's report, claiming they were confused, and denied the existence of any Japanese submarines. It was only until the 21st Century could divers and ROVs locate and identify the Japanese sub, thus vindicating the reports made by USS Ward.

The bottom line is this. The Americans goaded the Japanese into war. They had prior intelligence suggesting a strike on Pearl Harbor. They even caught a Japanese combat sub in their restricted waters and fired the first shots of the Pacific War. But the President and the military brass made a conscious decsion NOT to inform the sailors and airmen on the ground at Pearl Harbor that there was an impending attack. They purposely left Pearl Harbor wide open for attack, in order to have the most provocative headlines to sell the American public on the war.

lurk 2 more years before posting.

Similarly, the American destroyers USS Kearny, USS Greer, and USS Reuben James all engaged German U-Boats in the North Atlantic prior to Pearl Harbor. Hitler specifically cited this in his declaration of war on the US. Of these incidents, I believe the USS Kearny engagement is the most well-documented, but still it is not widely known.

So you learned it here first. The United States attacked both the militaries of Japan and Germany BEFORE the attack on Pearl Harbor. This is not some fringe theory, but undisputed facts in the historical record. And yet, no Americans no this….

Nuclear non-proliferation is advanced by the military-industrial complex because it preserves as much as possible for as long as possible the right of empires to wage war upon lesser nations. Nuclear nations of necessity cannot regard each other as lessers and greaters, and this equality between nations is not tolerable to those who would see themselves lords of all.

We received warning from Australia that there was a Japanese fleet in the area.

Don't you find it curious that our aircraft carriers, the naval weapon of the future, just happened to not be in the harbor while the soon-to-be obsolete battleships were?

I always say don't look at the incident, but look at the aftermath. Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were similar in many ways. You had an event that created an overwhelming wave of nationalism that was used to go to war. Before Pearl Harbor national support for entering WWII was in the low teens, afterwards millions of people volunteered.

How do you manage to be so consistently be so retarded Holla Forumsyps?

Hey look everyone! I'm a Holla Forumsyp!

What always struck me was Yamamotos brilliance in the strategy. He had some brilliant help in plotting out the main details of the attack, but I criticize him for pulling back rather than deploying a third wave. Had he done that, he would have all but secured victory in the pacific.

Further, Germany was stupid to declare war on the U.S. had they not, they would have been able to seize more territory in Europe and direct resources to taking Russian forces in the dead cold.

That being said, the island hopping campaign itself was just brilliance. The conversion of an Atoll into a full out drydock and whatnot (Ulithi atoll) along with the sheer cajones of intentionally skipping some islands. Further, the Solomon battles were some of the greatest sea battles in history. There's a reason I have respect for Iowa and even Yuudachi (Japanese destroyer) Their command was freaking insane and will always have my respect.

AFAIK: USA was already so deeply involved in the war, despite no formal declaration, that the Nips saw American involvement as inevitable and tried to cripple the US navy. The Australian government saw them coming and warned the US, so the US sent the aircraft carriers away 'on a training exercise' and left everybody else in Pearl Harbor to die to get a high fatality count for the newspapers to incite the public to war.

It being a false flag is a bit ridiculous, that's 9/11.

Well no, the commander of the air group saw that it would be wise to keep the carriers at sea since they banked on the air stage being more decisive than battleships and destroyers. The MO of Nimitz and the others was to keep the Carriers from being trapped as much as possible.

What , you faggots not ready for a hot ww3? Get ready
NUKES IN TWENTY EIGHT MINUTES

The more I look into wars the US has been in, the more I discover that every single one were started due to a lie.

this
Hence why our carriers were absent from port day of the attack.

If the japs had got our carriers, they would have neutralized us and straight out won the Pacific Theater

FDR and the jews needed a reason to amp the public into supporting another world war just 25 years after WW1

Ask, and you shall receive.

"Japan went through 3 cabinets trying to make peace with the Americans. Again and again they said that they were willing to remove troops from China in exchange for lifting the embargo. Japan was hoping that aligning herself with Germany would cause the US to back off a bit, but the US was alarmed by the Tripartite Pact and demanded that the Japanese pull back their troops "at once" - which is obviously impossible. Negotiations failed because Secretary of State Cordell Hull was a slow negotiator and appeared to be deliberately delaying everything, but the final nail in the coffin came from a Jew named Harry White when he issued an ultimatum (behind his colleagues' backs) to Japan that included a demand stating that they should withdraw from "all of China," which meant Manchuria as well - and therefore the economic downfall of the Empire of Japan. Harry White was found out later to be a Soviet spy. Roosevelt didn't care overmuch about Japan unless they were proposing concessions and spoke loudly about a "quarantine policy" regarding Japan.

Eventually the Japanese realized that there was no hope for diplomacy regarding the Americans because it was obvious from their viewpoint that the US wanted nothing but to harm them, between the oil embargo, public denouncements, and prolonged negotiations. Imperial Headquarters predicted that Japan would have very little chance if they attacked beyond late '41/early '42. And so Pearl Harbor happened.

Interestingly enough, there was talk in Imperial Headquarters about attacking the Soviet Union before the embargo. They planned to invade the USSR, supporting Operation Barbarossa, if Hitler took Moscow before '42 began. They couldn't do much beyond this because their main problem was securing desperately needed oil - whether through restored relations with the US or conquest.

Regarding oil - the US was in a similar predicament in the 1970's. The Arab nations announced an embargo to the US and US-aligned nations because the Burgers were supplying Israel with weapons. Japan quickly announced that they believed that Israel should cede territory to Palestine, and so the embargo for them was lifted. America, however, quickly began to draw up plans to invade Saudi Arabia. For a nation that prides itself for protecting the world from warmongering empires, isn't it ironic?"

False Flag caused by japs being stupid tbh, we fucked with their economy much like we're fucking with the nork economy now and then their autism kicked in and they did some IRL baneposting.

false flag in the sense that we knew they'd do it and FDR did nothing because he personally had issues with Hitler because he was a zionist but knew the American populace wouldn't support war with Germany unless they were heavily incentivized to since popular industrialists like Ford supported Hitler.
