A boss theme is nothing without a proper sync of the music to the boss. Either you can do something that starts introduces the boss extremely well with the theme or you can do what Twilight Princess did and have procedural music that changes with the combat. Either way I've only seen good boss music done to this extent in a few games and it's worth it every time.
